Kamille’s expression turned solemn. He was not as anxious as Rise. Yet he could not bring himself to belittle this situation. Although he could assure Rise that the plot would not be able to influence him, words were just nothing if they could not directly prove it.
This was significant for Rise, and he could tell that.
Kamille understood his feelings, as he was also uncertain about the plot’s influence on him or what his reaction would be once he t this Epsilon or whatever his na was.
So, instead of saying words that might an nothing in the end, Kamille engulfed Rise in his embrace. Sotis, presence alone was enough for these rising insecurities to be suppressed.
And this was right.
Rise inhaled Kamille’s natural scent as he tried to calm all his nerves. The fear still crept in, but his determination only beca firr.
All of this... Rise could not let that bitch steal from him. He did not care if he was the real thief in the real context.
When did he bother about that?
Rise’s mood was so complicated that he was scared for a mont, and now he was ready for the battlefield again. This was crazy, and he knew it.
Epsilon’s arrival changed a lot of things, and they had to act accordingly.
But once he cald down, Rise did not imdiately talk about it to Kamille. What was more important for him was this: a family he could not trade for anyone.
"Look at Riri, isn’t he so cute?" Rise showed off his son to Kamille and even fixed the bow tie on him. Riri blushed slightly, but he looked excited about the praise.
Kamille put the breakfast he got from the cafeteria on the table. His eyes went to Riri, and he nodded slightly.
"He is..." Kamille’s eyes flickered with amusent when Riri locked eyes with him, but he shyly averted his gaze.
Rise laughed and then glanced at Riri, his eyes conveying a aning. Kamille noticed it imdiately and knew that so mischief was planned here.
He did not comnt but waited for what was planned for him.
"Riri?" Rise smiled softly; the stress he was feeling earlier had vanished into thin air, looking at such an adorable son.
Riri also rembered, but once Kamille was already staring at him, he could not bring himself to say it. He held Rise’s hand and almost wanted to hide behind him.
Rise chuckled and dodged, and so Riri could not hide. Riri looked up at him, eyes glimring as if he were about to cry.
Aww... Rise thought he was adorable, but since he did not want it. There was no need to force it either. Perhaps next ti.
"Okay, okay, it’s fine." Rise dropped the idea. He only wanted to see Kamille’s expression for his amusent. It was not really a big deal.
Kamille was anticipating sothing, but Riri was uncomfortable and shy, and so he also gave him a small smile. His expression had llowed sowhat after returning to this world.
In fact, Kamille’s noble personality was the wilder side of him, to say the least, and the indifference to human beings was not shown in the cold appearance of his human side.
His personality was stabilizing, but so things might remain unpredictable as two personalities sotis clashed. Kamille had to suppress his noble personality in this human world, after all.
"Co on," Rise said, lifting Riri and putting him in the seat. "You can eat again." He did not wait for Riri to look at him in a pleading gaze, as the little one was such a glutton.
Slowly, Riri’s lips curled up and nodded.
Kamille and Rise’s lips also lifted, affected by his smile. The two parents, who actually only recently found out about it, watched the little one enjoy the food Kamille brought for a few seconds.
The silence was comfortable, for the most part.
"Are you not eating?" Rise turned to Kamille; he rembered that these dishes were his breakfast.
Kamille shifted his gaze from Riri to Rise and shook his head.
"It’s fine. I’m not that hungry." Kamille did not need human food any longer to sustain himself. But as he had been eating for so many years, it was hard to suddenly stop doing it.
Riri often gets lost in his own world, especially if he is eating; he obviously loves this aspect of the human world.
Rise rested his hand on the table and looked at Kamille.
"When will you return to the guild?"
"I can return anyti."
Basically, he could also not return for so ti. Rise chuckled at that answer. His eyes teased him.
"Will Hayes not nag you?"
Kamille shrugged. "He already did." Last night, after Hayes got the news of his return, the vice leader had already begun asking when he would return.
Rise laughed at that. He could imagine that if Kamille truly did not return within a few days, Hayes might make a trip himself here in the capital.
That guild... could not do anything without Kamille.
Rise’s mood dropped again. He had grown fond of the guild, too, but he could not join this ti.
"Epsilon registered in the Union sowhere in the north."
He inford, not wallowing in the brief mood swings. Most of his informants had yet to actually infiltrate the whole world. That would be impossible without months of accumulation and operation.
However, the Union was different. Who was Rise? He was the union general’s son! Just not long ago, he requested resources from Niftan, and the other generously gave him permission to mobilize the forces under him.
That included so intelligence agents.
Union was sothing easy for Ayen to infiltrate.
"He’s S-class, as expected. And a unique ability too. Sooner or later, the higher-ups will focus on him."
That ant Epsilon would fly in the capital soon.
S-class was a force and had to be fully registered in the union headquarters. It was also a ti when the Union, a governnt institution, would ask them if they wanted to join, but otherwise would not force the espers.
The corner of Rise’s eyes squinted nacingly.
"That ans, if we don’t leave the capital... It’s likely that we will et him."
