Now reading: Chapter 70: Guild Leaders from In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL], a Yaoi novel by ladyaize.

The Blue Guild was a great guild, indeed. Just after finishing their al, there was another knock on the door. And unexpectedly, a mber of the guild greeted them.

She entered the room, greeting Kamille, but ignored Rise, who was then wiping Riri’s face after he ate ssily for the first ti.

"Guild Leader Han," she called respectfully, but her deanor told otherwise, at least she was not much in awe of Kamille despite the difference in their statuses and ranks.

Like Rise said, the mbers of this guild had a superiority complex, taking pride in being a great guild; arrogance seed to be engraved in their blood the mont they entered this guild.

Kamille only acknowledged with a nod, uninterested. He had the capacity to act superior, as much as these mbers hated to see this deanor.

The woman gulped; her confidence waned after seeing Kamille up close. At this mont, Kamille appeared lazy, ready to fall asleep at any mont. However, the natural deterrence he exuded gave pressure to anyone facing him.

Paying no attention to the nervousness, she spoke, "My Guild Leader invited you to our headquarters."

She straightened and continued, "Guild Leader Han entered our territory without alerting us in advance, which makes us unable to offer you our sincere welco, please forgive us."

She appeared to be asking for forgiveness, but her tone and the content of her words clearly aid at sothing else entirely. It was a subtle... criticizing remark.

The woman was silent as though waiting for Kamille’s response, but a playful laughter erupted instead. Her head automatically snapped to the side, where Rise had just finished wiping and cleaning Riri.

There was a mischievous glint in his gaze, but deep within it was tinged with dangerous gloom.

"You should indeed apologize." Rise smiled.

The woman, stunned by this interruption, quickly composed her expression and frowned.

"What?"

"You just barged in here without any permission." It still pissed him off how this woman just proudly entered the room without asking for permission, given she knocked, but that was all there was to it.

She even had the guts to criticize his Guild Leader.

The woman appeared offended and was about to speak, but Rise beat her to it.

In a matter of seconds, he was already in front of the woman. Rise whispered, "Long no ti, no see, Akira? Missed ? Want another broken bone or two?"

The woman, Akira, trembled. Her face paled as she stepped back. Her pupils dilated in fear, she pointed at Rise, shouting.

"You’re still barbaric! You will never change, you dirty orphan!" Her voice hurried, almost incomprehensible due to fear. She could not even think if these words were inappropriate or not; she just rembered the painful experience inflicted on her by Rise.

Her previous deanor had now collapsed completely.

Rise was not offended; instead, his laughter grew louder. At last, she showed her true self, it was disgusting how she wanted to appear so classy.

When he was about to continue scaring her, a deep voice rang through the air, reaching the two, giving two different reactions.

Rise surprised turned around, but Akira stepped back a little more, her face went extrely pale, pain visible in her expression. She could not help but look at Kamille, frightened.

It was not the sa fear when she looked at Rise, being hysterical and aware that Rise would do sothing openly to her. The fear that Kamille induced was deep, as if the abyss were about to swallow her, making her harder to breathe.

This was not the feeling like Kamille was about to hurt her physically just like Rise would possibly do; it targeted her ntality, tearing all her defenses. Her intuition was alarming her to flee... to escape as far as she could or she might disappear.

Yes, she would suffer a fate far more brutal than death.

"Is this how you invite us?" Kamille’s deep voice carried a chill not normally present in his tone. "Deliberately sending this woman to provoke us, you’ve beco shortsighted, as the rumors say."

Rise only frowned for a half-second before he understood.

Kamille’s gaze flickered, and darkness filled his expression.

"Guild Leader Mitchell?" He called as he stood up, and in a span of that mont, he was already in front of Rise, a wind barrier was ford around them, even encompassing Riri behind them, who already sensed the danger.

"Aaaah!" Akira scread, slumping on the floor as she sat and covered her head in horror.

The shocking turn of events happened in a few monts when not even Rise expected it; the ceiling of the room suddenly collapsed as it fell in their direction before it disintegrated into small pieces as it made contact with the wind barrier.

So pieces of it also scattered, almost hitting Akira in the side, which Kamille did not even bother to cover with the wind barrier.

They looked up, and there standing at the side of the roof was a man, sporting a maniacally wide grin, looking down from above. His long, dark ponytail hair fluttered in the wind.

Crazy...

Rise muttered; his jaw almost dropped upon seeing who it was, which was already obvious after Kamille called his na, but the impact was still different when he saw the man’s face.

Guild Leader Mitchell, the Guild Leader of the Blue Tower Guild.

"Hey, Kamille." Grinning like an idiot, he greeted Kamille casually as though he had not just let a whole ceiling collapse into them; his gaze then shifted to Rise, who could not help but move closer to Kamille, feeling goosebumps.

Sure enough, Mitchell’s grin widened even more, his erald eyes sparkling when he saw Rise.

"My dear, darling, Rise!" He even waved foolishly, "I’ve missed you! Did you miss ?" Pouting, Mitchell slowly descended, falling exactly in front of Rise and Kamille, outside of the wind barrier.

"How cold, you never told you’d visit . If not, I personally welcod you." Mitchell grumbled as if Rise wronged him, ignoring Kamille completely.

Rise’s eyelids kept twitching; he felt his headache coming.

How could he forget this weirdo?
