Kamille swung his sword leisurely on the front, and yet every beast that ca in contact with was cleanly cut, blood gushed out and splattered before they fell on the ground; not a bit of dropping landed on his clothes.

Oren, who seed to have beco a different person, was already tearing apart monsters with his bare hands; his body was as strong as steel. However, like his usual self, he did not let out any kind of sound, but his eyes were filled with murderous intentions looking at the beasts that were charging at him.

Behind him, Kianna stood holding a book, seemingly an artifact. Every ti she shouted an incomprehensible word, Oren’s punch was becoming stronger. She did not neglect the others, such as Adelline and especially Hayes, who had built a small wall, that would occasionally move and smash the beasts that wanted to charge at her, dutifully protecting her.

She was a rare spirit Esper, who specialized in buffing others, soone also invaluable to a party.

Only Rise and Kamille were not part of her priority since it was not really necessary.

When Rise saw her finally use her ability, he was quite surprised. He did not expect that this timid woman who was like a frightened rabbit whenever he was around would have such an amazing ability.

As for Adelline, she was truly such a sight on the battlefield. Each ti she moved her whipped was like a walk of art itself; it did not look like it had much force, and yet, the monsters would let out a scream as the whipped touched them; blood would gush out until they finally let out their last dying breath.

She was like the real goddess of war, her body moved fluidly just like how her whip did. Adelline had this charm that whenever you saw her fighting, you would not want to look elsewhere.

Of course, only one man could actually make Rise fawned on him regardless of any situation. Kamille did not even need to use wind or his fire; his physical strength was enough, and his words cleanly pierced the monsters before finishing with a clean cut.

"Sexy..." Rise mumbled, his eyes shining with admiration.

Like his party, he was not slacking off as well. His force field had long been laid down; he expanded it so that it encompassed the whole party and a few ters beyond.

Rise was an excellent Esper on the battlefield; his forcefield alone helped a lot to filter the weak beasts and slowed the A-rank monsters significantly, which gave the opportunity for the other mbers to cut them like weak chickens.

The party had not worked before in a gate together, and yet their tacit understanding already surfaced almost like an instinct.

Kamille, Oren, and Adelline were fighting the front; Kianna was the buffer, who naturally had to stand at the back line. Hayes was also both on offense and defense, but he stood out more as soone to protect the rear. Rise seed to fall in any category and the iron wall itself.

It could be said that this party was nearly perfect already; everyone was not a burden and had been fighting with their all. Rise’s gaze watched everyone from the back.

What should he say?

This party satisfied him, and those two—well, they were more useful than he thought.

The monsters that they saw initially were already dead, but the commotion had also attracted the nearby monsters, and so it took almost ten minutes to subdue any monsters that dared to enter the battle.

Seeing that they could not take the party, those smarter monsters retreated with their lackeys, and the battle finally ended.

"We only entered the gate," Hayes sighed and leaned at the destroyed wall, drinking water. That exhausted him.

Although, the pressure on him was much less as everyone in the party was competent. Hayes was not really soone who excelled on the battlefield; his combat capability was actually average.

Just beside him were also Oren and Kianna, who were also breathing heavily but were in better condition than Hayes. Adelline, on the other hand, stroked her whip, her face still had blood stains, but her gaze was fierce, as though she had not enough and wanted to fight so more.

"You’re too weak," Rise taunted as he smirked; his appearance was unlike the others. It was like he was just there to sightsee; there were no signs of exhaustion or even a trace of sweat!

Looking at him, even Kianna was slightly envious. She was now haggard and so sweaty.

Hayes was speechless; he could not even refute.

"Right! I’m too weak! And you’re too strong, young master."

Rise laughed at his face and smugly agreed. "Of course,"

Hayes gritted his teeth, but he could only admit defeat and continued drinking. He would beco dumber if he talked more with Rise.

Finally, Kamille decided to step up. Similar to Rise, he still looked the sa without a trace of exhaustion. If not for the bloody sword in his hand, no one would even suspect he had only returned from a battlefield.

"Let’s go," he said, looking around. "This is not the place to stay."

There were a lot of monster corpses, and it might attract more monsters if they stayed for a while longer. While they were not afraid to fight, it was better to not use their abilities more than necessary.

In this gate exploration, the governnt, despite many complaints, did not send any guides over to accompany the teams. Their reason was it was too risky, and after thinking for a while, even the Espers agreed.

The other world was full of hidden dangers and guides, who were so important for them and their well-being, should not be sent to this other side before they completely scouted the world or even made a foothold.

What made Guides so few in number than the Espers? Their existence was also precious, otherwise, Espers would not live long after the mana toxins accumulated in their bodies.

Kamille was fine as he had Rise now, and the sa for Rise, who did not need any guiding in the first place. The other mbers were not the sa, they did not have any guide with them now, so minimizing the strenuous fights had beco part of the priority.

After looking for any valuable resources, such as cores from beasts, specifically the A-rank monsters, the group began to move again in the direction that Kamille had pointed out.

Wherever their eyes set on, it only had ruins and ruins. This world’s condition was definitely much worse than their world. Sohow, the group traveled in silence.

There was the kind of solemn uncertainty that lingered in the air. If... If they failed to stop the invaders. Maybe, in a few years or maybe decades from now, the fate of this world would beco their reality.

Thinking about this gave them shudder and also fear for the future.

Along the way, the party encountered more beasts, but before the mbers could do sothing, Kamille had already taken action himself. As the beats they encountered were not a large group, it was not necessary to let the other mbers fight.

He wanted the mbers to conserve their strength as much as possible. They would need to stay inside for at least as long as they could.

"Are we far from a human city?" Feeling the weariness from walking and also to divert the attention from the eerie world, Kianna asked out loud.

She brushed her arms, feeling goosebumps from both cold and fear. It was too quiet and dark; aside from their feet brushing and stepping on the ground, nothing else could be heard.

Occasionally, the monsters would roar out of nowhere, startling her.

"Seems like it." Hayes also felt the sa, but for a different reason; his increasingly gloomy expression was because of the distraction of the earth beneath them.

Kamille walking ahead also joined the conversation.

"We’re not heading to a human city," he revealed, which surprised the mbers beside Rise. He was not clinging to Kamille, but their bodies were still as close as ever.

Kamille did not turn around but explained. "There’s not much use if we also head to the human city. Most of the guilds were already on this way."

His gaze, which beca darker, had a trace of inexplicable gleam.

"Going there won’t benefit us much. That place will beco more chaotic soon enough." Kamille ended with a calm tone, but the impact of his words was not light as the mbers listened and finally made sense of it.

Rise’s lips naturally curled into a smirk. He also agreed with Kamille. The human cities might be the best choice since they were the established faction and had this impression that they could be the most possible ally.

After all, both were all humans.

However... It was because they were all humans that things would beco even more complicated.

Rise knowingly smiled.

He recalled his mory of this gate. Calling it a tragedy was too much, but it was definitely sothing that would be included in the history books.

See it like this: what would the humans of this world be when unidentified humans, the Espers, arrived in groups in their cities? Would they beco curious and make contact peacefully?

Or... Would they feel threatened? Naturally, the answer was not hard to deduce.

Human minds were more unpredictable. The mont the two sides t and both felt threatened... There was only one word that would co to mind.

War.
