Originally, during her last journey through the Snowfield Plateau, she discovered the Snowfield Spiritual Vein and did encounter the Shanyan Demon King but did not et face to face.
At that ti, Shanshan was still in a deep slumber within the Ice Lake, and Elder Jiang had no intention of occupying the Spirit Vein, so she didn’t disturb Shanshan.
The Shanshan she detected back then was in the form of the Shanyan Demon’s true body, but she had never seen her transford into a human form.
Now witnessing Shanshan as a young girl, Elder Jiang beca quite intrigued.

Besides those conspicuous Shanyan Demons, the most noticeable in this Spirit Vein was that expansive Ice Lake.
This Ice Lake is also the only lake on the Spirit Vein, the dwelling of the Shanyan Demon King.
"I’ll handle the array."
Elder Jiang scanned the surrounding environnt, quickly getting busy, setting up the array for Lu Ping.
With Elder Jiang’s help, it took just about one incense stick’s worth of ti to complete setting up the Heaven and Earth Cold Water Array.
To ensure the Spirit Vein’s water and ice Spiritual Qi remained abundant and pure, Elder Jiang did not alter the Spirit Vein’s environnt, keeping it in its original state, looking like pure and flawless ice and snow.
Treading on this ground was like being in a snowy world.
This made it nearly devoid of vegetation here, with only a few cold-resistant plants standing alone, looking sowhat desolate.

"Why not follow along?"

"No no no, I wouldn’t go."
Her voice was small, as if talking to herself.
Having beco Lu Ping’s Spirit Pet, naturally, she wouldn’t leave Lu Ping to follow others.
"So what about the situation at the bottom of the lake?"
Lu Ping paid no mind to Shanshan’s mutterings, probing the Ice Lake with his Divine Sense, discovering sothing peculiar.
There, under the lake, existed a region impervious to Divine Sense, quite odd.
This piqued his curiosity.
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you."
Shanshan, like a fairy butterfly, lightly floated to the Ice Lake’s surface, her petite and exquisite figure reflected.
"Did you sense... there’s a place at the bottom of the lake where Divine Sense can’t probe?"
She asked with a smile.
"Yes."
Lu Ping nodded.
"Your insight is quite sharp."
Shanshan smiled gently, beckoning Lu Ping to follow.
"Master, follow , I’ll take you to see what’s there."
Following Shanshan’s steps, Lu Ping subrged into the Ice Lake.
The water was bone-chilling cold, with scarce traces of creatures.
Under the protection of his Magical Power, Lu Ping ford a circle of transparent magical barrier, isolating the surrounding lake water, and as he followed Shanshan further into the lake bottom, the surrounding light dimd.
This change in light had no effect on either Shanshan or Lu Ping; with their cultivation levels, they could clearly see the dark scenes.
"It’s right there."
Reaching the lake bottom first, Shanshan landed in a large coral cluster, pointing to a light blue coral before her.
Lu Ping’s gaze shifted.
The coral before him was about human size, in an irregular shape, and appeared not much different from the surrounding corals, seemingly inconspicuous.
