After the four bloodlines had equalized, Xiang Yu thought to himself that it was about time.
If he let them be just like that, even though they were advancing faster than his dragon and phoenix bloodlines had before thanks to their four-way enmity, they were still far from being able to catch up with the originals.
For this, he had a different plan.
He reactivated his bloodline nucleosynthesis, this time focusing it on the other half of his bloodline where the four bloodlines were fighting it out.
As soon as he did that, he felt waves upon waves of qi entering his body as the essences were condensed and smashed together. The process continued, releasing more and more qi as the fusions became greater and greater.
In just a few minutes, Xiang Yu felt his bloodlines enter the pure blood stage.
He smiled, it was just as he had expected. Now he just needed to let the bloodline nucleosynthesis continue in this half of his bloodline area until the next reset after the uping one.
By then, the bloodlines should be at fairly the same level and he could let them fight it out to equalize the difference.
After the upgrade to the pure blood level, no new abilities emerged except the ability to condense bloodline essence.
Even then, the existing abilities were significantly boosted, taking them to a whole new level. For his White Tiger bloodline, his stealth ability had improved to the level of letting him phase through space. For the Black Tortoise, his barrier ability had improved to the point of being able to block attacks up to ten times his strength.
Although it looked quite good on paper, it actually wasn’t that impressive when he thought about it.
As you climbed into higher cultivation realms, the difference between each realm became more and more apparent. For example, the difference in power between Void and Integration realm was definitely above ten times, and that was with peak Void strength.
This meant it might not necessarily help him fight higher realms. At his current bat power at peak Tribulation, he couldn’t even glimpse Mahayana.
Even so, he felt that the ability had potential as it would continue to grow with him.
As Xiang Yu was thinking of this, he felt hands wrap around him from behind. "Senior brother, are you not done yet?" the voice asked, softly speaking to his ear.
Xiang Yu held her hands with his.
He thought to himself that the reset was just a few hours away, there was something he needed to try at the time of reset. He stood up, instantly lifting Li Yao on his back. He appeared in his room and placed her on the bed, then climbed over.
"We can play around, but only for a little while, okay?" he said.
"How long?" she asked.
"About three hours," Xiang Yu said.
Li Yao shook her head. "Too little," she said.
"Don’t worry, after I finish up what I’m doing, we can play around all day tomorrow," he said.
Her eyes brightened. "All day?" she asked.
Xiang Yu nodded. "All day," he confirmed.
"It’s a promise. Don’t regret it," she said.
"Regret? Who do you think I am?" he asked as his void silk slowly extended from his body, wrapping around Li Yao’s hands.
She blushed. "Husband, this is a little..." she began, but the silk wrapped around her mouth too.
"Shhh... let husband teach you this time."
Li Yao looked at his approaching form, thinking to herself that she wanted to do this to her husband, but she didn’t mind being on the receiving end as well.
