A spacious workshop ca into sight, littered with high-end machinery.

The sound of murmurings filled the room as, in a corner, a disheveled elder could be seen studying a book of sorts.

"This is incredible, by applying force this way it really might be possible to make a construct so big be able to facilitate light and quick movent. Genius, simply outstanding!" Elder Ron sputtered as he licked his dry lips. He had finally finished comprehending the first page.

The book in his hands was none other than one of the copies of Dyson’s cha Index 1.

Since Seth had so graciously donated this relic to the governnt, the first thing done was to replicate it into several copies and distribute it among the top figures in the related space of science.

Naturally, Elder Ron got his copy just after turning in the original.

Eyes brimming with hunger to devour more of the seemingly endless knowledge this book seed to hold, he readied himself to flip the page.

But his ear twitched, detecting sounds of footsteps behind him, and his mood suddenly plumted.

He had made himself clear — no one was to disturb his seclusion!

He was in a race to finish deciphering this masterpiece before his peers, and until that was done, he wasn’t even interested in seeing the president.

He spun on his swivel recliner, in a bid to see who dared violate his privacy.

But the mont he saw the figure walking towards him, his pupils glowered, every form of resentnt brewing in their depths snuffed out in an instant.

"Little monster, is that you?" He blinked, adjusting his glasses with a finger.

There was only one person he called that na, and there was only one person who could disturb his research without making him angry — his granddaughter.

His eyes shone brightly. "Have you finally had a change of heart and decided to join your grandpa on this project?"

"You wish, foggy. I’m here for sothing else." The lady finally spoke as she briskly walked past him.

Elder Ron stared at her back as she walked past, shaking his head wryly, but wasn’t upset about her dismissive attitude.

This was how she always was. This granddaughter of his had the body of an angel but a coarse tongue that could make even the devil himself cry.

"You know..." he started, "this new project might change the trend of science as we know it. Once I create the first cha, I will beco the most distinguished there is. Are you sure you don’t want to have a piece of the glory?"

The lady squatted before a toolbox, sorting through it, searching for sothing. Then she paused on hearing his words. "This is the fourth ti you’ve been trying to convince since I got back. I said no. I’m not hopping on any project until I’m done with mine." She replied with a stubborn tone.

Elder Ron sighed. ’What a pity.’

This granddaughter of his, Kylie Hart, was a prodigy among prodigies, a monster in the truest sense. At the age of twelve she had already capped an outrageous IQ of 228.

At the age of thirteen she had already distinguished herself in the science space, earning a PhD in biology. By fourteen she had beco a renowned physician. By fifteen she had surpassed even her grandfather in knowledge of chanics and engineering.

And by sixteen she had dominated several major fields of science, earning recognition and respect from big nas.

She was like a monster, devouring information faster than others could even process alphabets.

Which was why, when the governnt finally successfully brought her and her parents back from Australia a day ago, he was ecstatic.

He was confident that if it was her, deciphering Dyson’s cha Index would be easy.

After all, how much further had her intelligence been bolstered after awakening? Elder Ron couldn’t imagine, but he was confident it would be above his.

But alas, even after showing her the Index — sothing that could be said to be the new holy grail of the science space — he was flabbergasted when she just turned her nose at it...

She rejected his proposal right away, saying she wasn’t interested and was currently too busy working on a personal project.

No matter how he tried to convince her, the stubborn lass didn’t even give the Index as much as a glance.

It truly disappointed him, but there was nothing he could do but just let her be. It wasn’t like he couldn’t decipher it himself anyway.

Thinking of sothing else, the elder’s eyes shone. "Say, lass, what do you think about finding yourself a partner?"

Kylie didn’t react to his question, continuing to rummage through the toolbox.

"Hm? A boyfriend sounds nice, right? I found a perfect candidate. What do you think? Are you willing to et him? I’m sure you’d like him. He matches your looks, so you wouldn’t have to be bothered about outshining your man." Elder Ron pressed.

Kylie blinked, pulling out an apparatus of sorts from the pile of tools. She spoke as she examined it. "Cut it out, foggy. You know I’m not interested in that crap!"

Satisfied with the tool, she stood up and turned to her grandfather. "Love is a subject I’m not ready to explore, and even if the day cos that I’m ready, my standards are simply too high."

Elder Ron could only sigh in reply to this, unable to argue. Kylie was a monster in every sense of the word. To find a partner that could make her submit was practically impossible. At least so far, they had never found a single soul that seed to pique her interest.

He was just about to say sothing else when he noticed a weird expression on his granddaughter’s face.

Suddenly alert, she whipped her arms up, a bracelet around her wrist bursting into a tide of liquid tal that ford a chanized tal armor around her single arm.

A forming reactor in her opened palm flared to life... "Who are you!" she suddenly questioned coldly.

Elder Ron finally seed to catch on, his hair standing on end as he realized soone was behind him.

He spun his chair to see a figure sitting on his desk, flipping through his copy of Dyson’s cha Index.

The figure looked up and t his gaze. "Good day, Engineer Ron. Rember ?"

The elder blinked, just when he was piecing together the fact that he knew this person.

His trigger-happy granddaughter released a devastating, highly compressed plasma beam, shooting right into Seth’s chest.
