Hi everyone!
We recently put a new novel called The System Seas up today. After a brief break for a single-book non-series where I worked out a few writing things I had wanted to try, I’m returning to form with sothing a lot more conventional. Of course, I myself am a bit weird, so the story leans towards the weird side whether I like it or not. And thus you get a book about unintentional pirates, exploration, and the joys of being pursued by powerful, unfriendly forces.
There were a lot of things that I liked about The Infinite. There were also plenty of things that made it extrely hard to really love in the sa way that I usually find my writing. I talked about that in the author note of book 4, so I won't go into much depth here. But know that the mistakes I made in The Infinite beca knowledge for my future projects. If you've enjoyed The Infinite, I think you'll enjoy The System Sea more. Much more.
The System Sea is at its core a book about ships. Each character in it has a class, like you are used to. They level up and grow stronger, gain abilities, and, as a general thing, progress from weakness towards strength. At the sa ti, they live in a world dominated by water, a land of oceans that must be sailed to get to more interesting places and adventures.
The practical upshot of this is that the ship is just as important as the characters. It’s the force that carries our characters towards the plot, the danger, and all the adventures. In a way, it’s a character in and of itself.
So grab your spyglasses, friends. So far, this has been a really fun one to write. I suspect it will be a lot of fun to read as well.

Marco trained his whole life for one thing: to beco a captain.
He maxed every childhood achievent the System would let him, from diving to rigging to outrunning couriers up mountains. But when classing day finally cos, the system doesn’t just make him a captain. It makes him a Gluttony Marauder.
On the plus side, it’s a unique class with combat perks, shipwright skills, and captain material. On the negative side, it cos with a reputation so bad he’s arrested on the spot.
Now on the run in a barely seaworthy smuggler’s dinghy, Marco sets out to prove he’s not the villain they think he is. Unfortunately, he first needs to out-sail bounty hunters, survive cursed dungeons, and feed enough victories to his ever-growing ship to outrun every danger thrown his way.
