Now reading: Chapter 23: Boundless Arrogance from Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme, a Fantasy novel by InfiniteRuler.

The physical changes pleased him more than he expected. Ever since transmigrating into this body, part of him had constantly felt disconnected from his own appearance. The younger fra never matched the maturity of his mind. Now, however, the mismatch had finally begun disappearing.

After a brief mont of observation, Victor sat down once more.

His body strength had reached its limit for the apprentice realm. The next step was obvious.

Comprehension.

His eyes focused on the first elental inheritance before him.

The Space Elent.

Unlike the common elents, space possessed only three spells at the apprentice level. However, even after rely reading their descriptions, Victor imdiately understood how abnormal they were.

The first spell was Short Distance Teleportation.

The second spell was Small Space Crack.

The third spell was Short Range Space Lock.

Victor carefully read through each explanation.

Short Distance Teleportation allowed him to instantly teleport within twenty ters. Small Space Crack enabled him to tear open a crack in space itself wherever his hand touched. Anything caught within the unstable distortion would likely be sliced apart instantly. anwhile, Short Range Space Lock could temporarily freeze an enemy in place for one second.

Victor exhaled slowly.

"They are absurdly overpowered for apprentice level spells."

A helpless smile appeared on his face.

Even upper rank experts would fear abilities like these. Space magic itself was already considered one of the rarest powers in existence or rather, there wasn’t anyone recorded on Etherium. Yet the spells he possessed were monstrously lethal despite belonging to the lowest realm.

Victor closed his eyes and began comprehending the first spell.

Ti passed silently.

Three hours later, the familiar notification finally appeared.

[Ding! Unparalleled Comprehension is activated. You have comprehended the basic spell, Short Distance Teleportation.]

Victor imdiately opened his eyes in surprise.

Three entire hours.

That was the longest ti he had required to comprehend any apprentice level spell so far. Previously, elental spells from fire, water, wind, earth, tal, lightning, light and darkness had practically entered his mind instantly.

But space magic was different.

"It seems the stronger the spell is, the harder it becos to comprehend."

His eyes glead faintly.

Then he opened his status again.

[Combat Prowess: 95 Star]

Only one spell had increased his combat prowess by five entire stars.

Victor imdiately understood what that represented. Space magic possessed overwhelming combat value far beyond ordinary elental abilities.

Without wasting ti, he continued comprehending the remaining spells.

Three hours later, another notification appeared.

[Ding! Unparalleled Comprehension is activated. You have comprehended the basic spell, Small Space Crack.]

The knowledge flooded directly into his mind. Victor could almost feel the terrifying sharpness hidden inside the spell. rely imagining tearing space itself apart sent chills through him.

Three more hours passed.

[Ding! Unparalleled Comprehension is activated. You have comprehended the basic spell, Short Range Space Lock.]

Victor released a deep breath.

Even with his monstrous comprehension talent, the process exhausted his mind considerably. Space itself was an incredibly profound concept. Understanding even a fragnt of it felt difficult beyond words.

However, his eyes soon shifted toward the final elent.

The Ti Elent.

The atmosphere around Victor unconsciously beca heavier.

Even among legendary powers, ti manipulation was considered forbidden territory. Space could distort reality, but ti controlled existence itself.

There were only two apprentice level spells.

Ti Stop.

Ti Reversal.

Victor swallowed slowly before reading their descriptions.

As the information entered his mind, cold sweat instantly appeared on his back.

Ti Stop could freeze ti within a twenty ter radius for one second.

The cost was one month of lifespan.

Victor’s expression stiffened imdiately.

Then he read the second spell.

Ti Reversal allowed him to reverse ti itself in short range.

Each second reversed would consu one entire year of his lifespan.

Silence filled the chamber.

Victor stared blankly ahead for several monts.

"Damn..."

His voice sounded dry.

"This is practically a suicidal ability. Even sages only live around a thousand years."

A normal person would probably abandon such spells instantly.

Yet Victor still closed his eyes.

The temptation of controlling ti itself was impossible to resist.

Hours passed slowly.

Twelve full hours later, the first notification finally appeared.

[Ding! Unparalleled Comprehension is activated. You have comprehended the spell, Ti Stop.]

Victor’s face looked pale from ntal exhaustion.

Notably, there was no "basic" tag attached to the spell.

Even apprentice level ti magic surpassed ordinary classifications entirely.

He checked his combat prowess again.

[Combat Prowess: 120 Star]

One spell alone had increased it by fifteen stars.

Victor inhaled deeply.

Then he began comprehending the final spell.

Ti Reversal.

The process was incomparably more difficult than anything before it. Victor felt as though his consciousness was constantly wandering through endless streams of fragnted monts. Seconds stretched into eternity while countless distorted sensations assaulted his mind.

Twenty four hours later, the final notification finally echoed inside his head.

[Ding! Unparalleled Comprehension is activated. You have comprehended the spell, Ti Reversal.]

Victor’s thoughts beca sluggish.

His head felt unbearably heavy.

Then suddenly—

Boom!

A violent shock exploded throughout his entire body.

"Ahhhh!"

Victor scread in agony before collapsing unconscious onto the ground.

His body slowly floated upward into the air.

At the sa ti, multiple warnings echoed repeatedly.

[Warning!]

[Warning!]

[Warning! Unknown elent is attempting to form inside your body. Your body is not strong enough. System suppression initiated.]

Victor heard nothing.

His unconscious body continued changing.

His black hair gradually lengthened while faint purple strands began appearing among the darkness. At the sa ti, his eyes slowly transford into a deep violet color filled with an indescribable pressure.

An invisible aura spread silently through the chamber.

Five hours later, Victor finally opened his eyes again.

However, sothing about him had changed completely.

His gaze no longer carried the emotional fluctuations it once had. Calmness filled his expression completely, yet that calmness felt strangely unnatural. It was not ordinary composure.

It resembled indifference.

As though everything around him existed beneath his notice.

Victor slowly sat up.

"Let us see the changes."

His voice sounded calm.

He inspected himself carefully before nodding slightly.

The changes were acceptable.

Still, he could vaguely sense sothing deeper hidden inside him. Sothing fundantal within his existence had shifted. Unfortunately, he could not identify it clearly.

That uncertainty bothered him slightly.

Victor eventually stood up.

"It is ti to leave this dungeon. I want to see my sweet Diana."

For a brief mont, thoughts of the assassins resurfaced in his mind.

However, he instinctively shook his head. Boundless arrogance surged in his mind.

Those insignificant ants were not worth his caution anymore.

The mont the thought appeared, Victor suddenly froze.

His expression changed slightly.

"What the hell is wrong with ?"

His rational mind scread warnings at him instantly. Arrogance like this would eventually get him killed. He understood that clearly.

Yet strangely, another part of his existence completely rejected fear itself. It was as though his very being considered those enemies beneath concern.

Victor frowned faintly.

The feeling disturbed him more than he expected.

Still, he eventually walked toward the boss chamber calmly.

The massive stone door opened slowly.

At that exact mont, countless monsters suddenly rushed toward him from the surrounding tunnels. Their roars echoed violently throughout the dungeon as they charged like a tidal wave of flesh and claws.

Victor did not even bother turning around.

He casually snapped his fingers.

Boom.

Nine different elental powers erupted simultaneously.

Flas incinerated entire groups of monsters instantly. Ice spikes pierced through bodies without rcy. Lightning reduced creatures into charred corpses while wind blades sliced apart flesh and bone. Space cracks silently erased monsters from existence the mont they touched the distortions.

The entire corridor beca a slaughterhouse within seconds.

Victor’s violet eyes remained emotionless.

"Filthy abominations."

His voice sounded cold.

Then his gaze finally landed upon the giant wolf inside the boss chamber.

The creature was a Novice Rank monster far stronger than ordinary dungeon beasts. Its enormous body radiated violent killing intent while its crimson eyes locked onto Victor like a predator staring at prey.

However, Victor only smiled faintly.

Boom!

His figure vanished instantly.

Short Distance Teleportation activated.

The giant wolf’s instincts scread danger, but Victor had already appeared directly before it.

This ti, he did not use magic.

He wanted to test his physical strength personally.
