The Concordat Amphitheater of the Transcendent Temporal Folds seed to hold its breath as Khor gently returned Duke Whisker to Noah's shoulder.

The small mouse settled back into his position with the dignity of soone pretending the last few monts hadn't happened, though his stellar eyes still sparkled with a mixture of indignation and awe!

Khor nodded to Noah, her expression carrying the assessnt of soone who had seen the rise and fall of concepts that current existence hadn't even invented yet.

"Well," she said, her voice carrying across their private bubble of conversation with the weight of eons, "at least it may be interesting. I haven't seen Living Existences gather together peacefully for quite so ti."

She paused, her gaze sweeping across the assembled powers. "Though the ones here... seem a bit weak."

WAA!

The words landed in the space between them with the devastation of soone ntioning that the sun seed a bit dim today!

Duke Whisker's entire form went rigid again, his whiskers twitching.

These were Dukes, Royal Living Existences, Honored Living Existences…the accumulated power in this amphitheater could reshape many Folds, rewrite the rules of Existence, and unmake concepts themselves!

And Khor had just called them fucking weak!

Noah's eyes flashed with interest.

This was the kind of perspective that could recontextualize everything he thought he knew about power structures in existence. "How so?" he asked.

Khor's expression shifted into sothing contemplative, her eyes taking on that distant quality of soone sorting through mories that spanned epochs.

"I have seen many Living Existences," she began. "So were weak like this, yes, but others... others had the power of Young Early Creatures inside their bodies. They were beings that commanded respect not through title or accumulation, but through the simple fact that opposing them ant accepting obliteration as the most rciful outco."

She paused, letting the implications of that comparison settle.

Young Early Creatures. Not full Early Creatures, not the titans that had shaped the Earliest Folds through will alone, but their young…and that was still incomparably beyond what sat before them now.

"But those here..." she continued, gesturing with a hand that had just treated Duke-level existence as irrelevant, "they accumulate complexity like collecting stones, thinking that quantity will eventually beco quality. The purity of their respective Living Existential Authority…ah, I just cannkt put my finger on it!"

…!

Duke Whisker, still recovering from his recent handling but unable to contain his need to defend the dignity of his peers, looked toward Khor with astonishnt mixing with indignation.

His tiny paw pointed toward the section reserved for Living Laws, where authority manifested as visible architecture.

"What do you an weak?" he asked, his voice carrying all the affront his small form could muster.

His paw remained extended, directing attention to a particular figure. "Look there…do you see her? That is The Law Maker, Elysana, who stems from the White Law Royal Living Existences themselves."

His voice grew stronger as he continued. "She is a Duke whose power exceeds mine by at least ten tis…and I do not say this lightly! She stands as one of the Nine Law Makers that hold sway over all Living Laws currently in existence. When she speaks, reality listens not because it chooses to but because it has no choice. Her decisions ripple backward through ti to ensure they were always true. How can she be... weak?"

The Law Maker, Elysana, sat at the forefront of the Living Laws section like judgnt given form.

Her hair cascaded in waves of dazzling white that seed to contain within each strand the weight of verdicts that had shaped civilizations.

Her body was adorned in a sparkling white robe that wasn't rely clothing but authority itself woven into fabric…each thread a law, each fold a precedent, the entire garnt a constitution written in light.

Around her body, nine white gavels rotated in perfect synchronization, each one representing a different aspect of law…Natural Law, Temporal Law, Spatial Law, Conceptual Law…

They moved with the inexorable certainty of justice itself, their rotation creating weavings that made chaos nervous!

Powerful Dukes of Law sat in thrones arranged around her like planets orbiting a sun of judgnt.

Duke Themis, whose scales had weighed the worth of entire Wheels. Duke Hammurabi, whose codes had beco the foundation for civilization across different Folds.

Duke Solon, who had discovered that wisdom and law were rely different languages for the sa truth!

Behind them, arranged in tiers that suggested hierarchy as natural as gravity, sat Royal and Honored Living Existences of Law. Their combined authority burned gloriously, creating an atmosphere where even thoughts of transgression beca physically painful!

But Khor looked toward them with the sa casual assessnt she might give to a moderately interesting cloud formation.

Her head tilted slightly, as if gauging their power against so internal tric that operated on scales they couldn't imagine.

Then she shook her head with the particular motion of soone finding reality disappointing but not surprising.

"She seems decent," Khor said, the word 'decent' landing like a slap across the face of everything Duke Whisker thought he understood about power structures.

"But still... ah, I can't quite put my finger on it!"

…!

Decent.

This was how she referred to one of the Nine Law Makers of the Living Laws. One of the beings whose authority literally shaped how existence was allowed to exist in this current era!

Decent…like describing the sun as adequately warm or the ocean as sufficiently wet.

Khor's expression brightened suddenly, as if she had discovered the perfect way to explain sothing that shouldn't need explaining.

"Let's see, how can I best explain this to a little mouse like you... ah, yes. Let tell you a story."

She turned to observe the still-arriving Living Existences, her gaze taking in the careful choreography of power as beings took their designated places, maintained their careful distances.

"In the Earliest Folds," she began, her voice taking on the quality of soone reciting history that had been lived rather than learned, "there was a ti when a group of Fold Dwellers ca across the sounds of a terrifying battle that seed to be spanning across the Folds themselves. These weren't weak beings…they had the backing of The First Farr, after all, which ant they carried within them the potential for harvest that transcended normal understanding."

Duke Whisker leaned forward despite himself, drawn into the narrative despite his lingering indignation. Noah remained perfectly still, but his attention had sharpened to a point that could have cut concepts.

"Curious about what could create such devastating sounds across multiple Folds simultaneously," Khor continued, "they went to see. What they found when they arrived wasn't a battle in progress…it was a battle ending. The sounds they had been hearing across impossible distances were death throes, victory cries, the universe itself groaning under the weight of what had transpired."

She paused, her eyes distant with mory that might have been personal or might have been inherited from existence itself.

"When they arrived at the epicenter, they saw... a Living Quantum floating like a glorious king over the corpses of a dozen Early Creatures."
