The words uttered at this mont finally caused Noah to beco somber and serious.
The eyes of Schrodinger which contained the gaze of THE Living Paradox pulsed with the terrifying sense of Paradox as he looked up at the surrounding collapse, flas of contradictory authority flickering around his borrowed form.
|What many don’t understand is that countless small, seemingly insignificant things had to happen for us to arrive here,|Paradox continued, his voice growing grander with each word. |Countless things. I heard of your arrival in Ginnungagap. The things that happened there actually had an effect and contributed to what is happening right now. The things that happened in the Earliest Folds, whether you have already been there and done whatever you have done, also contributed to what is happening here. No good deed goes unpunished. No bad deed goes unpunished. Everything that everyone did is the reason why we are all here.|
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle.
And Existence is far too vast and far too imnse, even for to claim that I know everything. So yes, even I have no confidence that I will co out on top in the Weavings of what is to co. Amidst all of this, it might actually be THE Creature or THE Primordial Chaos or soone else. Hah, I could even think wildly enough and say it could be sobody like you or soone entirely unknown to us. Who knows? Existence is unpredictable like that.
His voice grew harder, more resolute.
But in all this uncertainty, I take it a step at a ti. I put one foot forward, and then I put the next. And it is why even with all of this uncertainty, I still believe in my Way so much that for , there can only be victory or there can be death. No in between. As the symphony you have uttered continues to repeat... Existence is a fleeting song, and we’ve been singing it all along. Oh, I’ve been singing.
HUUM!
At this point of his dialogue, a terrifying aura erupted around Schrodinger as Existence began to buzz all around. It felt like the massive weight of THE Living Paradox himself was descending through this borrowed vessel, pressing down on reality with authority that shouldn’t have been possible through such a limited conduit.
The cold and calm eyes of THE Living Paradox continued to stare straight at Noah as his words continued.
I have been singing, Osmont. And my song shall spread gloriously across Existence as all of this unpredictability, I will do everything in my power to make it predictable. You ask what The Fallout will be like? Whatever you are imagining right now, imagine ten tis worse, and then on top of that, imagine another octave higher. Existence is a fleeting song, and truly... we all fall down. We all... fall down.
HUUM!
The surroundings of the cage turned terrifyingly tumultuous as flas of Existence descended all around, burning with colors that contradicted themselves and heat that was simultaneously freezing. But the body of Schrodinger continued to keep its eyes on Noah as he floated further and further away with a somber gaze.
The brilliant blue-gold stick appeared in Noah’s hands as multiple Logos and Philologies wrapped around him to cause his body to emanate a sense of glorious brilliance that pushed back against the descending weight of Paradox.
THE Living Paradox stared at him as a terrifyingly devilish smile appeared on his borrowed face.
We all fall down, Osmont, so be ready. And good luck. It was actually pleasant to welco the end of Existence with you.
At this mont, Schrodinger tipped the cup that Noah gave him as if he was giving a toast.
May we et again in a playing field where there will be no suppression of Existence. Stay alive if you can. Struggle. Fight. Prosper. At that ti, whatever power you have and whatever power I have will decide who leaves that eting alive. If I were to co across you... ah, who knows what I would do. But until then... Au revoir!
...!
With such words, the imnsity that the body of Schrodinger released reached unfathomable levels. Existence pressed down even more as contradictions began manifesting physically around the cage, reality folding in on itself in ways that hurt to perceive!
And then in the next mont...
BOOM!
The body of Schrodinger exploded.
Not just exploded, but was collapsed purposefully, as if THE Living Paradox did not wish to leave any sign of him here. The explosion was controlled and absolute, every atom, every Weaving, every trace of Schrodinger’s existence being unmade with surgical precision.
It was a ssage.
I can do this whenever I want. To anyone I want. Rember that.
...!
Noah observed all of this while holding his Goad, his expression somber but unshaken.
His prison looked deford and almost broken from the force of the explosion, its once pristine blue-gold bars now warped and bent. On those bars, the at that used to be Schrodinger lted and sizzled, dripping down in grotesque rivulets that dissolved before they hit the ground.
The cage that had held one of THE Living Paradox’s most useful pawns was now empty.
A beggar had died, and existence mourned.
The symphony continued to play in the background, its lancholic notes seeming even more appropriate now.
"Existence is a fleeting song, and we’ve been singing it all along..."
Noah looked at the ruined cage for a long mont before he turned away.
THE Living Paradox had given him more information than he probably intended.
Even that ancient being wasn’t certain of survival.
Even that ancient being acknowledged that the outco was unpredictable.
And that ant there was room. Room for soone else to claim victory. Room for THE Anomaly to write his own ending.
Noah smiled grimly as he gripped his Goad tighter.
Let whatever wss coming co.
He was ready to fall down with everyone else.
And then get the fuck back up when the dust settled!
