The voice seed to carry extra weight when speaking his distinction. Extra resonance. As if even the ancient gate recognized that sothing unprecedented was walking through its threshold.

Many Glossarians made way for him.

Their looks were those of awe and wonder. This was the being who had contributed 9 new letters to The First Tongue, as so very well knew. This was THE Glossarian. This was soone who had achieved what even Absolutes could not.

Ahead, heavy noise bustled!

Noah looked at it all.

The interior of the Arena opened before him in magnificent scope. It followed a modified amphitheater design with distinct sections arranged in concentric circles descending toward the central combat floor. Thousands upon thousands of seats filled with beings of every description.

He saw entities of the other three philosophies here.

Chaosites and Paradoxians were roaring with fervor! They cheered and shouted, their sections a cacophony of noise and movent! So celebrated the challenge itself! Others celebrated the chaos it would bring! Their energy was infectious, spreading excitent through the crowd like wildfire!

Existentialists watched on calmly and silently.

Their section was still. Observant. They did not cheer or jeer. They simply existed, witnessing what would unfold with the patience of those who understood that all things eventually revealed their truth.

And on the very bottom of the Arena floor...

There was a dog looking around while frowning cutely!

Skoll sat in what appeared to be a Substitution Circle, his neon flas flickering with uncertainty. His massive head turned this way and that, trying to understand why he had been brought here.

Why so many beings were watching him.

Why the nice people who had been helping his Master suddenly couldn’t help him anymore.

He looked confused.

He looked worried.

But he was still a good boy, sitting patiently and waiting for his Master to co.

Noah’s eyes flashed sharply as he saw this.

He went further in.

Lunaris spoke as they descended deeper into the Arena, her pages rustling with the formal delivery of necessary information.

"Within The Palaestra of Primordial Reckoning, certain rules are absolute."

Her voice carried professional weight.

"No faction may attack another’s mbers outside the combat floor. This neutral ground is sacred. Violations are punished by all four Strategoi acting in unison."

They continued descending.

"Strategoi cannot directly interfere with challenges they did not issue. Glossikos the Articulate cannot intervene on your behalf, no matter how much she may wish to."

Her pages shifted uneasily.

"The Right of Challenge, once properly invoked, cannot be withdrawn. THE Weavers began this. It must be seen through to conclusion."

They passed through rings of seating.

Hoplites watched with wide eyes as Noah passed. Lochagoi nodded with respect. Polemarchs observed with calculating gazes.

Lunaris continued her explanation.

"The combat floor is called The Circle of Reckoning. It is the heart of The Palaestra."

Her pages displayed diagrams as she spoke.

"Circular, approximately 1 kiloter in diater. The floor can expand or contract based on the nature of the battle. For Absolute-level conflicts, it extends to accommodate existential-warping combat."

They were getting closer now.

"The surface is composed of Reckoning Stone, a material that absorbs and neutralizes residual Civilizational Authority as it bears dozens of Philologies. It is inscribed with a massive seal combining elents from all four philosophies. The central point is called The Nexus of Truth. It glows faintly at all tis."

She gestured toward the compass points of the Arena floor.

"The Four Pillars stand at cardinal directions around arena itself..."

Noah could see them now.

"The Pillar of Words to the North. Glossarian. It records everything said during combat. The Pillar of Contradiction to the South. Paradoxian. It displays paradoxes erging from battle. The Pillar of Being to the East. Existentialist. It tracks the existential state of combatants. The Pillar of Entropy to the West. Chaosite. It asures chaos generated by conflict."

Her voice grew more serious.

"The Arena can generate environntal challenges based on the nature of the conflict. Barriers can be erected to contain specific types of energy as even Strategoi may not be able to leave until the battle is over, and none...can interfere."

She paused.

"In short, sir, once you step onto that floor, you cannot leave until the challenge is resolved."

Noah barely gave a glance to all the things she ntioned.

His gaze remained on Skoll.

But he was also looking around at the higher areas of the Arena. The concentric rings of countless seats had Hoplites just above the Arena floor. Then Lochagoi in the next ring up. Then Polemarchs higher still.

And far above them all...

The Strategoi Thrones floated at the highest level.

Four massive throne platforms positioned above their respective faction’s gates.

Glossikos the Articulate’s Throne hung above the North Gate. It was constructed from living pages that constantly wrote and rewrote themselves. Floating Phones orbited around it like satellites.

The seat itself was carved from crystallized First Tongue, each armrest inscribed with her personal Theses. Currently empty, as she was in The Mouseion on his behalf.

Paradoxos the Dual’s Throne floated above the South Gate. Two thrones fused into one, facing opposite directions yet sohow both facing the Arena. Half obsidian, half gold, the division line constantly shifting. Observers reported seeing one occupant or two depending on the angle of observation. Currently occupied by... sothing. Soone. It was difficult to tell. It could also be empty.

Ontikos the Unwavering’s Throne sat above the East Gate. A single block of uncarved white marble, utterly simple yet radiating profound presence. No decorations. No inscriptions. Just pure existence given form. The most stable structure in the entire Arena, unmoved by any battle below.

Khaotikos the Unbound’s Throne existed above the West Gate. Or it didn’t. The throne refused to maintain consistent form. Sotis it appeared as a pile of debris, sotis as an elaborate seat, sotis as nothing at all.

As Noah watched all of this, there was no sign of THE Weavers anywhere.

The of the four thrones of Absolutes far above may or may not be occupied, but THE Weavers themselves were absent from the Arena floor.

So he simply took a step.

He appeared on the Arena floor in an instant.

Skoll turned toward him imdiately!

The massive dog’s tail began wagging with enthusiasm! His neon flas brightened! His worried frown transford into canine joy as he bounded over to his Master!

Noah rubbed his head with a smile.

"You okay, boy?"

He asked such a simple question.

And Skoll...

Woof!

Nodded affirmatively!

His tail wagged even harder. Everything was fine now. His Master was here. Whatever had been confusing and scary before no longer mattered.

Such a good boy!

And a mont later, a voice bood out across the bustling Arena.

The noise of the crowd diminished as The Voice of Reckoning spoke.

"The challenge today has been intercepted. The Polemarch, THE Genesis Monarch, is stepping in for the challenged Hoplite."

A murmur rippled through the crowd.

"The Challenger has no qualms about this."

The Voice paused.

"They are now called to the stage."

...!

All eyes turned toward the South Gate.

The Paradoxian entrance.

Where THE Weavers would erge.
