Now reading: Chapter 5269: THE Final Lesson! from Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse, a Action novel by Adui.

THE Undefined Gaps had no patience for the weak.

It was a condition of the space itself, the dinsional territory between the classified arrangents of Observable Existence operating at a pressure that most beings processed as hostility and that THE Creature processed as background noise.

Around him, the battle was at full intensity.

The massive Relictus moved through the Gilded formations with the unhurried devastation of sothing that had been doing this for far too long.

The Devonian Paleozoic Scale Gilded Ones and THE Fourth Scale entities that had been sent against it were fully committed to an engagent that the Relictus was not.

It fought them the way terrain fought occupation... not by trying, but by being what it was.

THE Creature had his own work.

The Devonian Ragnars ca at him in coordinated assault, three Causes burning through each one in compound expressions that turned the surrounding dinsional fabric of THE Undefined Gaps into a tactical mush they were trying to use against him.

THE Final Lesson t them.

His new stick, his goad was massive- obsidian, long, filled with the density of his Infinity and THE Primordial Source running through its length in twin currents that interacted where they t to produce sothing that was neither Infinity alone nor THE Primordial Source alone but both simultaneously.

He’d nad it THE Final Lesson because everything he taught with it tended to be the last thing the recipient learned. He brought it around in a horizontal sweep that caught two Devonian Ragnars, the strike landing with the full weight of what THE Final Lesson carried, and the two Ragnars went sideways through THE Undefined Gaps’ dinsional fabric.

BOOM!

The third Ragnar drove in from behind.

THE Creature stepped aside. Brought THE Final Lesson straight down onto the Ragnar’s approach trajectory. The Ragnar hit it going forward and stopped going forward, and THE Creature pivoted without breaking rhythm and moved into the next one.

He was mid-swing when the ssage arrived.

It ca through an Entanglent. The connection between him and THE Youngest that existed at a level beneath either of their power!

THE Youngest had used it directly. Infinity and THE Source both, as the transmission dium.

He paused long enough to absorb it.

"Hey. I wouldn’t normally reach out, but there is adversity being shoved down my throat I don’t particularly want right now. Here is information on so beings conducting actions they have to hide from THE Primordial Source. Are you able to pass on the ssage to whatever exists as a governing body or power from THE Primordial Source so they can take care of this?"

...!

THE Creature’s expression shifted.

He smashed THE Final Lesson into the Devonian Ragnar directly in his path, the impact cracking through three of the Ragnar’s integrated Causes in a single contact, and sifted through the information Osmont had attached to the ssage.

Gilded Ones moving across ti. A party operating from the future and concealing their temporal origin from THE Primordial Source because they knew what disclosure would produce. Actively working to alter a set past, which wasn’t temporal traversal in the closed-loop sense that he himself had perford here and there when the occasion required it.

He understood the distinction.

Closed-loop traversal left the past intact. Osmont had appeared in THE Earliest Folds and THE Infinite Unfurling because he had always appeared there. Every event had still occurred as it had occurred. THE Youngest had not changed anything. He had simply been the thing that was already there, the presence that had always been present, the closed loop confirming itself rather than disrupting itself.

What this party was doing was different.

They were actively seeking to alter outcos. The past resisted this not through any sentintal attachnt to how things had been but through structural necessity...existence derived its coherence from events having occurred as they occurred, and parties that tried to revise the set record introduced instabilities into that coherence that compounded outward.

THE Primordial Source did not tolerate instabilities. It didn’t tolerate them as a policy position. It was incapable of tolerating them the way a material was incapable of tolerating the conditions that caused it to fail.

Osmont had sent him accurate information.

THE Creature looked toward the Relictus.

He sent a short ssage.

"..."

One glance. The massive ancient being’s attention moved from the Fourth Scale Gilded One it had been occupying itself with and found THE Creature’s position. It held the look for a mont, the deep awareness behind its gaze taking in whatever THE Creature was communicating through the Entanglent they shared, and then it nodded once.

A single nod.

That was all.

THE Creature sent his reply back through the Entanglent toward THE Youngest, through Infinity and THE Source as the dium, the ssage traveling the sa channel the question had traveled.

’THE Source will know. Existence will be rectified.’

BOOM!

He sent it and turned back to the engagent without further consideration.

The Devonian Ragnars had reorganized while he’d processed the exchange. They ca in from three directions with their Cause expressions fully committed, the coordinated assault of beings who’d determined that individual approach hadn’t produced results and had decided collective approach was the next variable to test.

THE Final Lesson rose.

For beings like him, adversity was not sothing imposed. It wasn’t an interruption of sothing better. It was the closest thing he had to comfort, the constant companion that had never once left him across the full span of his existence, the only condition under which he felt his foundations operating at the level they were built to operate at.

He t the three Devonian Ragnars and the battle resud.

Above him, the massive Relictus had already gone still.

Still in a way that was different from its combat stillness.

Still when one was communicating with sothing that didn’t require movent to receive the ssage. Its connection to THE Primordial Source ran deeper than any Gilded engineering had ever reached, deeper than any letter of THE Primordial Tongue could access, the direct channel of sothing that had been born from THE Source rather than sothing that had cultivated toward it.

THE Primordial Source was listening.

And existence, which had been carrying within it beings that didn’t belong in it, that were hiding from its governing awareness while they pursued revisions to outcos it had already set, was about to beco aware of what it was carrying.

THE Creature brought THE Final Lesson around and continued his work.

The rest would take care of itself.
