Noah turned and looked at Erwin.

It did not announce itself. It rose from the ambient channels through which she had always communicated with him, but larger now, the voice no longer contained to the private notifications of a system speaking to its master but carrying outward through existence with the authority of sothing that had been given permission to be heard.
The symphony carried her voice and her voice carried the symphony, the two indistinguishable from each other as they spread outward through every coordinate his presence touched.

You cannot unmake what was made. The foundations rember themselves. What existed once has a claim on existence that outlasts the fire that tried to remove it.
So we carry what was. We carry the weight of the ones we couldn’t reach in ti. We carry the faces and the nas and the versions of this place before the silver-gold ca.
And we persevere. Through the unfair design of Existence that never promised us fairness. Through the loss that sits in the chest and doesn’t move. Through the grief of watching what you built beco sothing you don’t recognize. We persevere. Because stopping is the one thing that confirms what they hoped for when they lit the match.
