"Such a thing happened?"

The wife looked surprised, with so doubt: "Then why didn’t you tell it to big brother earlier?"

"Tell them what?"

Song Wu sneered: "Best if they can’t handle it and move to Little Huang Village, then this large mansion and the Song Family estate would all be ours, wouldn’t they?"

"This..."

The wife was shocked, then delighted: "You’re always so thoughtful, my husband."

"Of course!"

Song Wu smiled, full of confidence: "Alright, let’s sleep. It’s been a nerve-racking day, and I’m exhausted."

"Mm, mm!"

The wife nodded, called their child over, and the family of three lay on the bed, wearing the divine talisman close to their bodies, not bothering to extinguish the light, sleeping with the lamp on.

The lamp illuminated the room, making it hard to fall asleep. However, after being busy the whole day, Song Wu was overwheld by fatigue and soon fell into a deep sleep.

Then...

In the dream, golden light radiated out, instantly transforming into a temple with a divine being appearing.

"What’s happening?"

Song Wu’s face changed, and he tried to escape, only to find his limbs bound, fastened to a temple beam. The divine being approached coldly, holding a short whip in hand.

"Wonderful, wonderful! To have a son like you is truly my Song Xiang’s blessing!"

Shen Hex looked at Song Wu with a gloomy expression, without a word, raised the whip and struck.

"Crack!!!"

"Ah!!!"

With a whip stroke ca a miserable cry, intense pain making Song Wu instantly wake up, crying out loudly.

"Father, I’m wrong, I’m wrong!"

"Crack!!!"

"It’s my fault, it’s all my fault!"

"Crack!!!"

"Stop hitting, stop hitting, I’ll move tomorrow!"

"Crack!!!"

"I’ve already moved, and you’re still hitting?"

"Crack!!!"

"You evil ghost, impersonating my father, seeking wealth and harming lives, tomorrow I’ll certainly invite a mage from the City God Temple to deal with you!"

"Crack!!!"

"Father, I’m wrong, spare , spare !"

"..."

The whipping lasted an unknown amount of ti until the dream finally dissipated.

Within the Yin Residence, Shen Hex rose, went into the yard, opened the door, and spoke to the two wandering gods looking like governnt officers outside: "Song Xiang, poor in discipline, disturbs you both, my apologies!"

"So it’s the Village Land God of Little Huang Village!"

The two wandering gods saw the divine light on him: "We brothers thought it was so evil ghost daring to cause trouble in the county, didn’t expect it was a misunderstanding."

"All my poor discipline!"

Shen Hex shook his head, then stepped forward to take out two strings of incense money: "Please forgive , two Upper Emissaries."

"Oh, what is Mr. Song doing?"

The two wandering gods, although pretending to refuse, eventually accepted: "Since it’s a misunderstanding, we’ll report back to the County Governnt Office."

"Take care, Upper Emissaries."

"No need for Mr. Song to see us off."

"..."

After sending off the two wandering gods, Shen Hex returned to the hall and continued using the Dream-Entering Technique to educate those unfilial descendants.

When gods receive incense offerings, they are obliged to protect, and this is even more true at the county seat, where City God deities sit in command. Generally, few evil ghosts dare cause trouble; if they do, they are quickly exterminated.

But Shen Hex is not an evil ghost; he is a Divine Dao Shadow Official and the ancestral guardian of the Song Family, using the Dream-Entering Technique to communicate with his descendants. This is both reasonable and lawful, even if he hadn’t given those two strings of incense money as a favor, those wandering gods and Yin Emissaries couldn’t do anything to him.

However, so matters still need so attention.

After sorting things out, it becos even more legitimate, allowing him to educate those unfilial Song Family descendants fully.

And so, the next morning.

"Bang!!!"

The Song Family mansion gates slamd open as several people stumbled in, rushing to the main hall. It was the group that had stayed at the brothel the previous night.

Arriving at the hall, they all fell to their knees, one of whom was the always arrogant Third Brother, Song Wu.

No need to say much; they all knew what had happened, imdiately stepping forward to kneel together.

"Alright, alright!"

At this mont, Song Wen stepped forward with the deanor of the eldest brother: "Father spoke to last night, telling us to move boldly. With him protecting us in the Underworld, we needn’t fear any evil spirits, demons, bandits, or robbers, and instructs us to sell the mansion, gather the usable silver coins and purchase Little Huang Village land from the Governnt Office, then contact the clan to recruit long-term workers and tenants. Little Huang Village will beco our ancestral ho, manage it well, and it shall flourish. What do you all think?"

"This..."

"We’ll do as Father says!"

"Whatever Father says, that’s what we’ll do!"

Several won hesitated upon hearing this, but the n like Song Wu loudly expressed their agreent.

Thus, the relocation matter was settled.

Shen Hex sat inside the Yin Residence, very satisfied with this outco.

To ta these descendants, he spent close to ten taels of incense for this effort.

But it was worth it; the Song Family was prosperous, with nine male descendants alone. Combined with wives, children, and servants, the family had over thirty mbers. If they followed his instructions and recruited so impoverished tenants and long-term workers from the Song Clan to relocate entirely, this move might bring nearly a hundred people to Little Huang Village.

Exchanging ten taels of incense for nearly a hundred people is a worthwhile deal.

With these people from the Song Family, plus later supplents from the Governnt Office and the effect of land occupations and Food Fragrance talent, Little Huang Village’s developnt is inevitable.

But this relies on them reaching Little Huang Village safely.

Shen Hex considered briefly, then left the house, riding towards Little Huang Village.

And so, half a month later.

Following Shen Hex’s instructions, Song Wen and others sold off the Song Family mansion, gathered their spare silver coins, purchased Little Huang Village’s main farmland from Qinghe County Governnt Office, and finally taking wives, children, servants, plus the recruited tenants and long-term workers from the clan, totaling over a hundred people, driving bullock carts, horses, and donkeys, headed towards Little Yellow Mountain.

Although it’s only a hundred miles away, such a large group moved slowly, covering just over fifty miles after a day.

"Master Song, it’s getting late, not advisable to continue traveling; ahead is Cai’s Store, let’s lodge there for the night and continue tomorrow?"

The guard driving the cart looked at the sky, then turned his head to suggest to Song Wen.

Song Wen nodded: "Let’s do that."

"Alright!"

The guard replied and drove the cart forward, soon seeing a village with a tavern at the entrance offering accommodations.

This was Cai Family Village, also known as Cai’s Store, where a tavern at the entrance provided food and lodging for passing rchants.

The Song Family group of over a hundred was undoubtedly a big business, so the innkeeper promptly ca out to arrange accommodation for the crowd. But the small tavern couldn’t hold over a hundred people, so other villagers’ hos had to be borrowed to barely settle them.

Song Wen and others settled inside the tavern, just finished their al when a funeral tune was heard, prompting Song Wen to summon the innkeeper: "Anyone recently passed away in the village?"

"I dare not deceive the guests."

The innkeeper was an old man, honest: "An old woman in the village passed away a few days ago, and her family is holding the funeral."

"I see."

The group listened without giving it much thought, dismissed the innkeeper, and continued their al.

Soon satisfied with food and drink, night ca, and they all returned to their rooms to rest after the day’s travel.

Unaware...

Outside the tavern, white gas rose, forming silhouettes.

Shen Hex, sitting atop his horse, used the Qi Observation Skill. He saw Cai Family Village shrouded in white gas but noticed a hidden spot of black gas.

White gas indicates the presence of normal souls and Yin Souls.

Black gas signifies evil spirits or demons that devour human souls, burdened by the curse of their victims.

Human souls have power; if they believe and offer sacrifices, it becos divine incense, enabling great deeds, a positive application.

But if they curse and resent, it forms intense karmic burdens, driving evil spirits and demons insane, losing humanity, becoming ferociously cruel, a negative application that can also foster powerful evil spirits and demons, even fierce deities.

Now the hidden black gas in Cai’s Store indicates the presence of evil spirits causing trouble.

"Getting lucky even when moving house."

Shen Hex shook his head, ordering ten Shadow Soldiers to guard the tavern while he rode into the village.
