In a side room of the Prefecture Governnt Office.
Song Wu sat deeply, Song Ying frowned, yet was sowhat uneasy, "Third Brother, do you think this will work?"
Song Wu’s expression did not change, "Father’s instructions are never wrong."
"That’s true, but this is the Prefecture Governnt Office, after all."
Song Ying remained worried, "If things really get out of hand..."
The words were not finished when footsteps were heard, and a group of people entered the room — a Governnt Officer dressed in official clothing and two constables.
"Thank you for your hard work, two heroes!"
The Governnt Officer ca forward, and the two brothers quickly greeted him.
Upon eting, the Governnt Officer got straight to the point, "I am the Archivist of the Criminal Division. We have already examined the bodies and heads you delivered, and they are indeed remnants of the Five Immortals Gang."
After speaking, he gestured for the two constables behind him to step forward and removed the red silk cloth from the trays they held, revealing ten bars of Yuanbao, "This is a reward from the Magistrate — two hundred taels of silver. Please accept it, two heroes!"
"Silver?"
"Two hundred taels!"
The two brothers exchanged glances, both frowning deeply.
However, the Governnt Officer was unfazed, simply smiling at them, "Aren’t you going to accept the reward?"

Imdiately, a dozen Governnt Officials rushed into the room. Song Wu was undeterred, letting go of the Governnt Officer and fighting them. Song Ying, having no choice, joined in.
Though the brothers were united, two fists could not match many hands. Under the siege of several Governnt Officials, the two brothers quickly fell into a disadvantage and were eventually pressed to the ground.
"You scoundrel!"
Seeing the two captured, the Governnt Officer with the black eye angrily stepped forward, slapping Song Wu hard across the face, "You refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit. Causing trouble in the Prefecture Governnt Office, do you really think you’re soone of importance? Take them away, lock them up in jail, and let them know their true weight!"
"Yes!"
The Governnt Officials responded, imdiately escorting the two to prison.
And so it went...

In the cell, the two were shoved inside. Though not entirely covered in wounds, under the Governnt Officer’s orders, they received quite a beating. Especially Song Wu, with his eyes blackened and swollen, looking much like a panda.
"Hiss, these bastards, really went hard!"
Song Wu touched his eye, a sharp pain imdiately surged, causing him to inhale sharply through clenched teeth.
"What made you punch him in the face, be grateful you weren’t killed!"
Song Ying, not faring much better, sat bruised beside him, "What a ss."
"Relax."
Song Wu remained unconcerned, "Didn’t Father say? He would co to rescue us, and they’d take us out the way they brought us in."
"I hope so."
Song Ying sighed bitterly, filled with helplessness.
Fighting within the Prefecture Governnt Office — for two without official positions, it was sheer audacity, a path leading to death.
Yet they had to do it, for it was Shen Hex’s instruction.
Make a big fuss!
As to why, Shen Hex hadn’t said, only assuring them it would end without danger.
Thus, the brothers behaved as they did.
Now they had fought, caused trouble, and it was up to their father to intervene and rescue them unscathed.
Otherwise, attacking Governnt Officials in the Prefecture Governnt Office could be a serious charge that might very well cost them their heads.
And so it went...
"Hurry, hurry, hurry!"
Early the next morning, footsteps sounded, a group hurried to the prison, led by the Governnt Officer with the black eye.
He led several Governnt Officials, hurriedly opening the cell door, and seeing Song Wu and Song Ying covered in bruises, imdiately stepped forward to support them, "Two heroes, yesterday was my folly. Please, heroes, do not hold it against . The Magistrate has inquired about the matter. Please co with ."
"This..."
Just waking up, Song Wu and Song Ying found the Governnt Officer’s complete change in attitude a bit bewildering.
