anwhile, on the other side of the city...

The mont the stream closed, the tiny apartnt beca quiet again.

The apartnt wasn’t large.

It only had a single bedroom and a small living area.

To save money, Daisy had converted part of the living room into her streaming space. A desk, a ring light, and a few decorations were squeezed into the corner, making the place look much more professional than it actually was.

Just as she was about to clean up for the night, a frantic knock suddenly sounded from outside.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

"Daisy!"

The voice sounded panicked.

Daisy’s expression changed imdiately.

"Debbie?"

She hurried to the door and pulled it open.

The mont the door opened, a woman stumbled inside.

It was her older sister, Debbie.

Before Daisy could react, Debbie collapsed onto the floor.

Tears stread down her face.

Her makeup was ruined.

Her eyes were swollen red.

"Debbie!"

Daisy imdiately rushed forward.

"What happened?"

"Why are you crying?"

Debbie couldn’t even speak properly.

She simply sat there and cried.

Seeing her sister in such a state made Daisy panic.

She quickly poured a glass of water and helped her sit on the couch.

Only after several minutes did Debbie gradually calm down.

With trembling hands, she wiped away her tears.

"I..."

"I got fired."

Daisy froze.

"What?"

Debbie forced a bitter smile.

"I got fired."

The words felt like a heavy hamr smashing into the room.

Debbie worked at a law firm.

Ever since graduating, she had been the family’s pillar of support.

After their mother was diagnosed with cancer and their father abandoned them for another woman, Debbie had practically carried the entire family on her shoulders.

dical bills.

Rent.

Daily expenses.

Everything depended on her.

Now she had lost her job.

Daisy felt her heart sink.

"Why?"

Debbie lowered her head.

Her fingers clenched tightly.

"The partner recruited a new female lawyer."

"He wanted to sleep with him."

"I refused."

"And today he found an excuse to fire ."

Daisy felt a surge of anger.

This wasn’t the first ti Debbie had complained about the situation at her firm.

For months she had endured harassnt.

For months she had tolerated humiliation.

Only because they desperately needed the salary.

Their mother’s operation couldn’t wait forever.

The hospital was already asking for deposits.

Without money, there would be no surgery.

Without surgery...

Neither sister dared think about the consequences.

Debbie suddenly laughed bitterly.

"I’m so tired."

"So tired..."

For a mont, Daisy felt as though her sister had lost all hope.

The woman sitting before her looked completely exhausted.

As if she had been carrying the weight of the entire world alone.

After a long silence, Daisy suddenly rembered sothing.

Her eyes widened.

"Wait."

"I have good news."

Debbie looked up weakly.

"What good news?"

Without answering imdiately, Daisy ran to the kitchen.

A few monts later, she returned carrying the instant noodles she had saved for dinner.

"Eat first."

"You haven’t eaten, have you?"

Debbie nodded absentmindedly.

The truth was that she hadn’t eaten since morning.

She was too worried.

Too stressed.

Too exhausted.

She silently opened the noodles and took a few bites.

Only then did Daisy excitedly explain everything.

How she t Lucas in Call of Duty.

How they randomly ended up in the sa team.

How he carried everyone to victory.

How she jokingly told him to visit her stream.

And how she jokingly demanded gifts.

Debbie listened quietly.

At first, she wasn’t particularly interested.

Then Daisy ntioned the amount.

"Over a million dollars."

Pfft!

Debbie imdiately spat noodles everywhere.

"What?!"

She stared at Daisy as if she had gone insane.

Daisy nodded seriously.

"He really sent it."

"He sent over a million."

Debbie looked completely unconvinced.

"Are you sure?"

Without saying another word, Daisy opened her creator account.

Then she handed over the phone.

The mont Debbie saw the balance displayed on the screen, her breathing stopped.

$500,000.

Her hands began trembling.

For soone struggling to gather money for surgery, this amount felt unreal.

It was enough.

More than enough to convince the hospital to begin preparing for their mother’s operation.

For a brief mont, hope returned to her eyes.

Then another thought suddenly appeared.

Debbie frowned.

"No man gives away this much money for nothing."

"He must want sothing."

Daisy blinked.

Then shook her head.

"He didn’t."

"What?"

"He literally left after gifting."

Debbie was stunned.

"No requests?"

"No conditions?"

"No private ssages?"

Daisy shook her head again.

"He just said goodnight and logged off."

The sisters looked at each other.

Neither knew what to think.

After a long silence, Debbie finally spoke.

"What if..."

"What if we ask him for help?"

Daisy bit her lip.

The thought had already crossed her mind.

If they could borrow five hundred thousand dollars, their mother’s operation would be completely secured.

They could slowly repay him afterward.

The problem was...

How do you ask soone you’ve only t online?

For the next two hours, the sisters sat together drafting ssages.

Deleting them.

Rewriting them.

Deleting them again.

Nothing sounded right.

Eventually, they settled on a simple invitation.

A lunch eting.

Then they would explain everything in person.

After sending the ssage, both sisters stared nervously at the screen.

Waiting.

Every notification sound made them grab the phone instantly.

Only to discover it wasn’t Lucas.

Again.

And again.

Eventually exhaustion won.

Soti after midnight, both sisters fell asleep on the couch.

The phone remained between them.

Its screen still glowing softly.

The next morning, sunlight stread through the hotel suite windows.

Lucas slowly opened his eyes and reached for his phone on the bedside table.

The first thing he noticed was a ssage from Daisy.

A smile appeared on his face.

After reading the ssage, he casually replied with a simple confirmation before putting the phone aside and heading into the bathroom to get ready.

anwhile, nearly two hours later, Daisy suddenly jumped up from her bed.

"Ah!"

She grabbed her phone in panic.

Only then did she notice Lucas had replied long ago.

Her face instantly turned red.

She had fallen asleep while waiting for his response the previous night and completely missed his ssage.

"What do I do? What if he’s angry?"

Daisy bit her lip nervously before quickly typing an apology.

She sent him the restaurant address and explained that she had only just seen the ssage.

After sending it, she let out a long breath.

Hopefully he wouldn’t mind.

Not long afterward, Daisy and her older sister Debbie arrived at the restaurant.

It was a popular place near the city center with both indoor and outdoor seating.

The weather was pleasant, so they chose a table outside.

The two sisters sat there repeatedly discussing what they would say when Lucas arrived.

Debbie looked much more nervous than Daisy.

After all, they were about to ask soone they barely knew for help.

Even though Lucas had already shown incredible generosity, neither of them wanted to appear greedy or shaless.

"Let’s go over it one more ti," Debbie said quietly.

Daisy nodded seriously.

The sisters continued rehearsing their words while occasionally glancing toward the street.

Back at Fingal Hotel, Lucas had just finished changing clothes when the suite door suddenly opened.

Ivy walked in.

Lucas looked up instinctively.

She seed to have rushed over imdiately after returning to the city.

Her hair was slightly ssy, and her breathing was still uneven.

For a mont, neither of them spoke.

Then Ivy crossed her arms and looked at him with obvious dissatisfaction.

"So this is how you welco after I’ve been gone for two days?"

Lucas laughed.

"Bad timing."

"I’ve got sowhere to be."

Ivy’s beautiful eyes widened.

"You have plans?"

Lucas nodded.

"A lunch eting."

Ivy imdiately beca suspicious.

"A lunch eting?"

"With who?"

Lucas simply smiled.

"Business."

Seeing his expression, Ivy knew he was deliberately avoiding the question.

She couldn’t help feeling annoyed.

She had rushed back to see him first, yet he was already preparing to leave.

Lucas stood up and walked toward the door.

Before leaving, he looked back and said with a grin,

"Wait for ."

"I’ll be back later."

Ivy rolled her eyes.

"Who says I’m waiting for you?"

Lucas laughed and waved before disappearing through the door.

Several minutes later, a taxi stopped outside the restaurant.

Lucas stepped out and adjusted his shirt.

The restaurant wasn’t far from the hotel.

As he entered the outdoor dining area, his eyes imdiately landed on a familiar figure.

Daisy.

She was sitting near the railing.

Today she wasn’t wearing her streaming headset or sitting behind a cara.

Instead, she wore a simple sumr dress that highlighted her youthful charm.

Beside her sat another woman.

Lucas paused slightly.

The girl looked sowhat similar to Daisy.

They shared the sa delicate features.

However, compared to Daisy’s playful and energetic appearance, the older girl possessed a mature elegance.

Her long dark hair rested over her shoulders, and her fair complexion stood out under the afternoon sunlight.

The two sisters were attractive in completely different ways.

At that mont, Daisy noticed him.

Her eyes widened instantly.

For a brief second, she simply stared.

She hadn’t expected Lucas to be this handso in person.

The confident and relaxed young man walking toward them looked completely different from what she had imagined.

"Hey, Daisy."

Lucas smiled and waved.

Only then did Daisy snap back to reality.

"H-Hi!"

She quickly stood up.

Her voice even stuttered slightly from nervousness.

"Please... sit down."

Lucas pulled out a chair and sat opposite the two sisters.

After taking a glance at the untouched drinks on the table, he imdiately understood sothing.

"You’ve been waiting a while, haven’t you?"

Daisy and Debbie exchanged looks.

Before Daisy could speak, Debbie hurriedly shook her head.

"No."

"It’s actually our fault."

"We arrived too early."

Lucas blinked genuine confusion appeared on his face.

"Our fault?"

He looked at the nervous sisters and couldn’t help becoming curious.

Whatever they wanted to talk about today...
