Vogue’s plan was simple, kill as many radiants as possible to evolve. The numbers ga was simple: more kills ant stronger evolution, and stronger evolution ant better chances of survival.

He knew the other players were also trying their best to evolve first. The competition was cutthroat, everyone racing to reach that first threshold of power.

As the person who evolves first would possess the strength of a New Moon Stellar Knight with the power to easily kill those that were still just in the Evolved realm.

But there were people like Vogue who didn’t want a normal evolution and wished for a higher tier of transformation. If one could get the Ultimate Tier of evolution, it was rumored that their strength at the New Moon realm could rival even Upper Rank Stellar Knights.

He rembered he didn’t have a weapon yet. Vogue then walked deeper into the store, stepping over corpses and broken glass, and saw a sporting goods section.

Behind a cracked display case were machetes of various sizes and qualities. He picked up twenty of the most premium and strongest-looking machetes, testing their weight and balance before storing them happily in a backpack he’d grabbed. He couldn’t put them in his inventory space as it contained just ten slots, and he’d already filled several with food and supplies.

Stepping back outside through the ruined storefront, Vogue was imdiately assaulted by the full scope of the chaos consuming New York City.

There was pandemonium everywhere.

"HONK!" Hoooooooonk!"

Vehicles were honking at each other in gridlocked traffic. The drivers behind the wheels were either dead at the wheel or transford into radiants themselves.

"KA-BOOOM!"

Trucks collided with the backs of stopped cars, causing massive explosions that sent fireballs mushrooming into the darkening sky. tal twisted and screeched, gas tanks ruptured and ignited, turning entire blocks into infernos.

There were sounds of explosions and screams everywhere as radiants leapt at fleeing people like lions pouncing on gazelles.

"H-help!"

"Soone call the police!"

"My kid, where’s my kid!?"

Worse were the Sun-Fiends that road the skies, the horrifying Three-Legged Pigeons that were ordinary pigeons.

New York is typically ho to over one million pigeons living throughout the five boroughs, and thousands of various pets such as dogs, rabbits, horses, and various other animals. And when those creatures weren’t able to survive the Omnibus Test, they transford into Sun-Fiends.

Pigeons transford into Three-Legged Pigeons, avian creatures over half a ter long with an extra leg growing from their chest and golden eyes.

They dove with the speed of bullets as they pierced through the skulls of humans running about, their sharpened third leg punching through bone like a nail through wood. Then they would suck out the brains in one swift motion before taking flight again to find their next victim.

The sa thing happened with the dogs.

These dogs had transford into a horrifying creature of several subspecies known as the Blight Mastiffs.

These creatures were over a ter tall with muscular bodies and massive jaws that could chop half a human whole.

The mother transford, they imdiately leapt to their owners and consud their forr owners with relish while their previous owners scread and begged to any god to assist.

Radiants and Sun-Fiends alike randomly jumped at the crowds, driven by insatiable hunger and carnage.

"Ta!" "Ta!" "Ta!" "Ta!"

People who carried guns were randomly firing at the radiants, but to Vogue’s, they might as well be shooting at the crowds of innocent people running in fear and panic.

Bullets hit more humans than it did Radiants or Sun-Fiends.

Vogue shook his head at the futility and continued moving through the panicked crowd when suddenly his body jerked violently as soone shot at him.

Vogue was stunned and stared through the crowd but in the next second, a full magazine was dumped right onto him.

Holes appeared all over Vogue’s body like a sieve, blood spraying from his body.

Twenty to twenty bullet holes punctured his skin in the span of three seconds.

The shooter was actually on the roof of a Starbucks at the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 163rd Street.

The shooter ignored him after that and reloaded before unloading another magazine into the fleeing crowd below with a twisted smile on his face.

At this point; the man wasn’t just killing radiants but was killing his fellow humans too and it didn’t matter to this psychopath in the slightest bit.

Vogue harrumphed as the bullets were expelled from his body, pushed out by regenerating tissue. The holes closed up, skin sealing over fresh pink flesh. In a second, he was completely healed, though his clothes were now riddled with bullet holes.

Instantly, he bent his knees and leapt upward with explosive force, crossing over twenty ters in a single bound. His feet touched down on the Starbucks roof with a soft thud as he landed just ten ters from the shooter.

The man seed to have noticed sothing. He imdiately rolled to the side like a military man and aid his rifle at Vogue’s center mass, finger already squeezing the trigger.

"Tu! Tu! Tu! Tu! Tu! Tu!"

The bullets tore through Vogue’s chest and abdon, ripping apart his internal organs with each impact. His liver burst, kidneys ruptured, stomach exploded, but Vogue walked calmly forward as if he was strolling down the street.

The man’s eyes widened in horror when he saw this shat was happening.

before him. Without hesitation, he adjusted his aim and shot directly at Vogue’s head.

"Ding! Ding! Ding!"

The bullets sparked off Vogue’s face like they’d struck solid steel, creating small flashes of light but not even leaving a mark. His skin had hardened, the natural protection of his dragon physique making his face as durable as armor plating.

The man then aid specifically at Vogue’s eyes, going for the one spot that might still be vulnerable.

Vogue closed his eyes just before the bullet collided with his eye ball.

"Ding!"

The bullet ricocheted off his eyelid with a tallic ’ding’ sound as the bullet fell to the ground, completely flattened from the impact.
