Xuan’s eyes widened, but before he could, a giant purple crescent slash appeared in front of them.

"But I do have so parting words," Elder Chun added, his smile twisting. "When the gates to the other worlds open, this world will be overrun by..."

He trailed off, his eyes blurring.

Xuan’s brows twitched as he crouched down and tapped him on the cheek.

But no matter how much he tried shaking the old man awake, he was gone.
