"No! Bro! Slim-thick!"

"You have to like slim-thick girls! Why would you prefer breasts over ass?"

"It’s my preference! Why the hell would I sleep on my babe’s big ass when she has large breasts?"

"Bro! You really are insane. Listen to John! Ass is better than breasts!"

"Nahhhh! I prefer my lady with large pillows!" Kraven yelled playfully to his two friends, John and Riley.

Riley simply groaned and shook his head, stuffing both hands into his pockets.

While John hissed, "We can’t help fools, can we?"

Riley shook his head in agreent.

A long silence followed the end of the conversation.

Only the three of them were present, walking leisurely back toward the barracks.

It was already dark.

With curfew fast approaching, most students had returned to their dormitories, leaving the carnival grounds unusually quiet.

The bright lights still shone in the distance, but the laughter, music, and endless chatter had faded into little more than distant echoes.

The mont they stopped talking, the silence seed to swallow everything around them.

And as strange as it sounded, listening to the darkness felt oddly comforting.

The silence continued for quite a while until Kraven finally spoke.

"I love working for Edmund. It’s suddenly like everything is free."

His simple words imdiately sparked excitent in the hearts of the other boys.

"Yeah, I literally emptied another student’s credit account earlier this morning and didn’t have to lift a finger! Hahahaha!"

John laughed loudly.

Confidently.

And...

"Irritating."

The three boys suddenly froze.

That voice was different.

It wasn’t one of theirs.

It was deep.

Thick.

Distorted.

And it ca from directly behind them.

Each of them slowly turned around toward the source of the voice.

"Fuck!"

Kraven and Riley instinctively stumbled backward.

For a brief mont, genuine fear crossed their faces.

However, after taking a better look, they steadied themselves and stared more confidently at the figure standing before them.

Riley brushed himself off.

"What’s that supposed to be? Mama’s Halloween costu?"

He laughed at his own joke.

However...

His rude remark was t by nothing except a pair of dark, shadowy eyes staring back at him with ruthless intent.

Riley’s skin crawled.

John, anwhile, maintained a straight face as he studied the figure before them.

No.

The thing before them.

A being wearing a completely black wooden mask.

Its surface was rough, weathered, and scarred, as though it had survived countless battles.

Only two narrow eyeholes existed for sight.

From either side protruded a pair of bent bull-like horns.

Apart from the mask, the individual appeared human enough.

Dressed entirely in ordinary clothing.

Yet...

The mont John looked directly into those eyes, every instinct in his body scread at him to run.

As though the creature standing before him...

Wasn’t human.

He gritted his teeth and forced himself to remain tough.

"Get the fuck out of here before we lose it!"

The masked man didn’t move.

Didn’t react.

He simply stood there staring.

"I said move!" John yelled again.

Finally, the masked figure shifted.

Finn raised one hand toward his face as though inspecting sothing, then released a long sigh.

"Everyone thinks they’re the main character of their own story."

His distorted voice echoed through the night.

"Tonight, I’m sure you’ll think differently."

The mont the words left his mouth, he exploded forward.

John’s eyes widened.

The speed was absurd.

He hastily thrust out his hand.

Around his arm, spirals of wooden shards began materializing from thin air.

Three of them.

Each roughly the size of his forearm.

Their dagger-like tips glead as they ford, ready to launch forward and tear Finn apart.

However...

The attack took too long.

Finn arrived before it could finish forming.

His fist crashed into John’s face with devastating force.

CRACK!

The sound echoed through the empty path.

John’s body lifted entirely off the ground before being launched backward like a ragdoll.

He crashed onto his back several ters away.

Motionless.

Knocked unconscious instantly.

"What the hell?!"

Riley blinked several tis in disbelief.

"What the hell did you do to—"

Before he could finish speaking, Finn was already upon him.

Another murderous punch shot toward Riley’s jaw.

Unlike John, who relied more on brute force and intimidation, Riley was different.

He was skilled.

With practiced precision, he sidestepped the punch, allowing it to barely graze his cheek.

"You bastard!"

Riley slamd the base of his palm into Finn’s shoulder.

The impact redirected Finn’s montum and sent him stumbling toward Kraven, who had already prepared his attack.

Several glowing purple orbs floated around Kraven’s body.

As Finn staggered into range, Kraven attacked imdiately.

The glowing spheres shot forward.

One slamd directly into Finn’s stomach.

The other narrowly missed as Finn jerked his body aside.

He quickly retreated several steps afterward, escaping what he assud was their attack range.

’They’re more skillful than I thought.’

Finn grabbed his stomach where the orb had struck.

Then he frowned.

It felt strange.

Surreal.

From the attack...

He felt absolutely nothing.

As though the orb had been an illusion from the beginning.

But Finn doubted that.

Why would it be?

He let out a groan, his stomach suddenly twisting at the thought.

Then—

"Hahahahahaha!"

Kraven burst into laughter.

Finn raised his head.

The expressions on the boys’ faces had completely changed.

There was no fear.

No panic.

Only excitent and confidence.

"You fool."

Riley brushed the strands of hair from his face.

"Consider yourself lucky you knocked out John. Otherwise, you’d really be dead."

Finn raised an eyebrow.

Then suddenly—

His entire body convulsed.

A sharp pain erupted inside his stomach.

He bent forward violently and coughed several tis.

Sothing was wrong.

Very wrong.

Kraven grinned as he watched Finn hunch over.

His breathing beca loud and distorted behind the wooden mask.

"That’s the effect of my ability."

Kraven pointed toward Finn.

"The orbs are like miniature portals. In a few seconds, they’ll swallow a section of your stomach and bring it out to ."

Finn clenched his teeth.

Despite the pain, he managed to force out a single word.

"Murder?"

Riley imdiately burst into laughter, slapping his knee.

He found Finn’s response genuinely amusing.

"Well, just say you attacked us. Wearing a mask that almost resembles a Corrupted."

He shrugged.

"Your death would simply be classified as self-defense."

Silence followed.

The two boys watched as Finn’s body trembled under the effects of Kraven’s magic.

And then—

WHOOSH!

The horrid blade Admonis materialized within Finn’s grasp.

Then...

He laughed.

"Hahahahaha!"

The sound echoed unnaturally through the mask.

"I didn’t an ."

Finn slowly straightened himself.

"Murder ? No..."

A guttural sigh escaped him.

One that sounded almost like a beast’s growl.

"I ant you."

The instant those words left his mouth, he vanished.

His speed doubled.

Perhaps even more.

He crossed the distance separating them in less than a second.

Kraven’s eyes widened.

Too late.

Finn raised the unforgiving blade of Admonis high into the air.

Then brought it down.

The sword carved rcilessly across Kraven’s chest.

A deep crimson line exploded open.

Kraven scread.

The pain was unbearable.

Blood sprayed into the air.

His magic imdiately dispersed.

He collapsed to the ground monts later, unconscious from the shock and agony.

At the sa ti, Finn felt relief flood through his body.

The gnawing pain inside his stomach vanished.

Thanks to Admonis’ Blood Sucker ability, the internal damage was rapidly repaired within seconds.

Finn slowly turned his gaze toward Riley.

The boy stood frozen.

His legs were pressed tightly together.

His trousers were visibly wet.

Tears filled his eyes.

He was terrified.

Finn tilted his head slightly.

"Slim-thick girls, right?"

Riley said nothing.

"You don’t fit that bill either."

Then Finn lunged.

His fist slamd directly into Riley’s face.

CRACK!

Riley collapsed instantly.

Blood poured from his broken nose as he hit the ground.

The fight was over.

Every mber of the group had been defeated.

This wasn’t enough to repay what they had done to Doram.

Not even close.

But it was sothing.

At the very least, Doram would wake up knowing that karma had arrived early for so of his attackers.

Finn closed his eyes for a mont and released a long, cold breath.

’If they had fought together properly, it would’ve been harder to win this the way I did... but.’

His gaze drifted across the unconscious bodies scattered across the ground.

A small smile ford beneath the wooden mask.

"It’s rather nice not being on the receiving end for once in a while."
