Paula woke up the next day with the picture of the terrifying nightmare lingering deep in her heart, causing fear, confusion, and uncertainty.

The only good thing about it was the fact that she fought back with the forces she built. Real ch forces she’d never seen in her entire life... Or literally since she beca a chanic Specialist.

However, she was still glad to have seen humanity fight back against the enemies... The only factor that could cause a controversy was the fact that he never knew how to make those chs she created in the dream.

"What if this actually happens?"

"What if they co with exactly the sa force she experienced in the nightmare?"

"What if humanity didn’t have the right fightback force to counter them?"

Paula’s heart clenched.

It was at this point that she figured she must have to to tell Jayden about everything.

It was exactly 11 AM at that ti, and when she attempted to go to his room, Harper approached her with a look of unease on her face.

They were both clearly en route to Jayden’s room.

"Hey," Paula greeted.

"Hey, Paul... Ummm, are you gonna et him?" Harper asked.

"Um, yeah. But since you are coming as well, I’m actually going to let you go first," Paula said as she tried to retreat.

"No... No way. Co on," Harper stopped her at once. "You are actually ahead of . Why would you want to step back for ?"

Paula gave a slight smile and shrugged.

"I just think you’ve got sothing more important to do with him. You know, we need the defence more than anything right now," shs said.

"Oh co on... Not when the devil is already caught. You know what? Let’s just go in together, I’m sure our courses are equally important," Harper said as he held Paula’s hand and led her in.

They all knew the code through Jayden’s door, so it was quite easy to go in.

But when they finally stepped in...

No one was seen.

Harper and Paula searched around from room to room, but saw no trace of Jayden inside, and it was shocking because they had never seen him outside today.

What could be the case at this point?

It was after almost losing it, that Harper finally found a white sheet on the table, with a few words written on it.

She grabbed and read.

"The Independent Society are needed."

That was hell of a clear sow to explain in his whereabout at that point, but Harper heart raced at once.

Not because he left without making anyone aware, but because she understood the the risk of his mission he had just embarked on.

The Independent Society, having known that Nortasia was part of the Alliance, would stop at nothing to bring him down the mont he steps his foot in any of their countries.

Harper knew that, and she couldn’t hold herself when she rushed out of the building and headed to the base.

"Tell Charlotte to keep an eye on . Any signs of danger cos, she alerts ."

"I’m going after our love."

Harper told Paula.

"Got it," Paula said before walking her way.

The road to Nestonia was quiet, too quiet for Jayden’s liking. He had left Nortasia without his escorts, without Harper or Camilia, without anyone.

The decision had been his, and his alone. He knew the dangers... Walking straight into the land of an alleged enemy. But there were things only he could do, things he couldn’t entrust to anyone else.

Nestonia wasn’t just another nation. It was the iron spine of the Independent Society, the coalition that stood against the Alliance for years. They were proud, hardened by war, and led by Nolan, a man who never bent his knee to anyone. If Jayden wanted the world to stand together, he had to start here.

The border gates were massive, black steel stretched across a valley. Soldiers lined the towers, rifles in hand.

As soon as Jayden stepped within their sights, alarms rang out.

"Identify yourself!" a voice barked from the walls.

Jayden didn’t flinch, as he raised both hands slowly, and his voice rang clear.

"I am Jayden Cole. President of Nortasia."

For a mont, silence enveloped the entire place, and the next thing that ca with it was... Chaos.

Dozens of rifles swiveled, all pointed at him. The soldiers shouted, so loading their weapons, others rushing down the walls. Within minutes, he was surrounded, a ring of cold barrels pressing against him from every side.

"The President of Nortasia dares show his face here?" one soldier spat. "Does he think Nestonia welcos Alliance dogs?"

Jayden’s jaw tightened, but he said nothing. He let them bind his hands and shove him forward.

That was not a problem at all, as far as he was progressing to his destination.

They marched him through the capital. The streets of Nestonia were different from Nortasia’s. Old stone buildings mixed with steel fortifications, flags of deep red draped across every corner.

The people stared as Jayden passed, so whispering, others bellowing in distaste. He bore it all in silence, his eyes fixed ahead.

He found it a sha for this people not to acknowledge him for bringing down their long ti enemy President Liam, but he didn’t take it as a grudge anyway.

He knew that this people would have a bigger reason to acknowledge him one day.

Finally, the presidential palace gates opened. He was dragged inside, through grand halls lined with banners and soldiers, until at last he was thrown to his knees before a tall man seated on a throne of black stones.

President Nolan.

Crazy.

Nolan was broad-shouldered, his hair streaked with gray, his eyes sharp as blades. His voice was low, carrying the weight of authority.

"So... the President of Nortasia walks willingly into the lion’s den."

Jayden raised his head. "I ca here by choice."

"Choice?" Nolan leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "Tell , Alliance man, why are you here? To bargain? To beg? Or perhaps you’ve co to spy?"

Jayden t his gaze without fear.

"I’m not here as a man of the Alliance. I’m here as a man of the world. There is no Alliance anymore. It’s over."

Laughter erupted in the hall.

Nolan’s ministers sneered, soldiers smirked. The sound echoed like mockery bouncing off the walls.

"No Alliance?" Nolan said, shaking his head. "That’s rich, coming from the President of a nation that would have fought under its banner. Nortasia would have bled with them, and would have killed with them. And now you stand here, in my palace, telling we are all one and equal?"

Jayden’s voice grew firr. "Yes. That’s exactly what I’m saying. And point of correction, we wouldn’t have done all those things. We joined the Alliance for a reason."

"The ti for division is over. You think the Independent Society won the war against the Alliance. You think the world is safer now. But you’re wrong."

The hall quieted slightly. His words, though unwelco, carried weight.

"There’s a threat coming. Bigger than any of us."

"The Sovereign Protocols."

So of Nolan’s advisors exchanged looks, as others scoffed. Nolan himself only narrowed his eyes.

"The Sovereign Protocols? A ghost story. Old weapons from another age. You expect to believe Nortasia’s president has walked all this way just to tell bedti tales?"

Jayden shook his head with a long sigh.

"They are not tales, but the truth. I haven’t seen them, but I know what they can do. If we stay divided, if we cling to old grudges and lines drawn in sand, then we’re finished. Not just Nortasia. Not just Nestonia. All of us."

For a mont, silence ensued.

Jayden’s words hung heavy in the air. He could see a flicker in so faces... Doubt, maybe even fear. But then the laughter returned, sharper this ti, tinged with scorn.

Nolan stood, his broad fra towering.

"Enough. You co into my house, speaking of unity, speaking of threats that don’t exist. You think Nestonia needs Nortasia? You think we need you? No. We stand on our own. We always have."

Jayden had to try once more. "Listen to ..."

But Nolan cut him off, his voice thundering.

"No, you listen, Jayden Cole. Nortasia may have turned its back on the Alliance, but its hands are still stained. You are no friend of Nestonia. You are not welco here."

He stepped down from the throne, stopping just inches from Jayden. His eyes bore into him, cold and final.

"Don’t you ever step your feet in Nestonia again. Or else, Nortasia will lose a president."

The soldiers yanked Jayden to his feet, dragging him out of the hall. He didn’t struggle. He didn’t speak. But as the doors slamd shut behind him, he clenched his fists tight.

The world didn’t know it yet, but it was standing at the edge of sothing far worse than war.

And whether Nolan wanted to believe it or not, Jayden knew the truth.

And he wasn’t about to give up.

Not at this point.
