Michael nodded, as he also stood up.
"Thanks for the al, Adrian." Kate said to Adrian, who was busy with sothing on the laptop, sitting on the couch.
"You are welco." Adrian responded politely, before he went back to what he was doing.
Kate’s gaze lingered on Adrian for a mont, before she headed towards the exit of the villa. Michael followed behind her, and as soon as they got out, he noticed that Kate had stopped.
With slightly raised brows, he was about to ask her what was the problem when she spoke first.
"Why is it that ever since I ca here, I have never seen Adrian eating? Or, does he have his own schedule of eating his als?" Kate asked in a slightly confused tone.
During the first eting between her and Adrian, Michael had introduced him as Adrian Santos. That implied that there was a relationship between them.
But, sothing that she could not understand was how differential Adrian was towards Michael.
From what she currently knew about Michael, she did not believe that he was the kind who would mistreat those close to him. That was especially considering that Adrian was ’related’ to him.
It was just that, she found it to be confusing that she had never seen Adrian eating. The butler at ho, she had seen him many tis when he was taking his als. But for Adrian, not even once, no matter the ti that she ca to visit Michael.
Upon hearing Kate’s question, Michael was not surprised. He had already anticipated sothing like this.
Usually, it was true that Adrian really never ate. Despite him being the one who prepared all the als, he never really ate at all.
It was not that Adrian could not eat. It was just that, there was no need. After all, Adrian was a bio human, and had his own source of energy.
The bio humans all used the zero-point energy cell, which provided enough energy to be able to completely sustain them.
But it was not impossible for them to be able to eat and drink. After all, the capabilities of the bio human were just like those of humans.
It was just that, as soon as the food or drink was taken, it would be completely broken down to the molecular level, rendering them inert.
Due to the fact that there was no need to eat, Adrian did not eat. The only ti that he would eat was during the interaction with other people, so that he would not stand out.
"He usually eats. It is just that, Adrian has a very strict routine. Breakfast’s very early, lunch is mostly skipped, and dinner is just a light snack, nothing like the rest of us." Michael responded with an excuse that he had already thought of.
At the sa ti, he thought, instead of creating excuses, in the future, it would be better if he could just make sure that such loopholes did not exist.
And to stop with dealing with such things, it would be better for Adrian to eat as well. That way, Michael would not have to face so questions like the one that Kate just asked.
Thinking about this, Michael decided that he would inform Adrian about it. This should apply to Damian and the other bio humans as well.
"Oh. I get it." Kate responded as she nodded.
Just by looking at Adrian, she could tell that he looked to be soone who usually managed his ti. Not even once had she ever found him idle.
Additionally, the way that he carried himself did not show that he was ordinary. Instead, everything showed that he was extraordinary.
This was sothing that usually puzzled her about Michael’s background. To be able to send soone like this to help Michael out, just how formidable was his background?
The two of them did not talk much, as they headed for the garage that was located to the left of the villa.
Approaching the entrance of the garage, Michael used his card to open it.
The mont the garage door slid open, Kate stopped mid-step.
Her gaze landed in the nearly empty garage. This garage could actually accommodate a total of four cars. But right now, there was only one car inside.
But that was not what caught Kate’s attention. Instead, she was looking at the motorcycle parked inside, and for a brief second, she simply stared.
The bike was massive, and undeniably luxurious. It looked less like sothing ant for weaving through narrow streets and more like a machine built to cross entire countries without stopping.
Her eyes slowly moved from the broad front fairing, to the wide seat, then to the side storage compartnts. Finally, she turned to look at Michael.
There was a puzzled looked in her eyes as she asked, "This..." she paused as she slowly pointed at the motorcycle, "...is your motorbike?"
Michael nodded calmly. "Yes." At the sa ti, he looked at her with slight confusion in his eyes, before he looked at the Honda Gold Wing.
Just by judging from Kate’s expression, it seed that sothing was off. Was it possible that she was just shocked by this type of bike?
After all, this motorbike cost 0.3 SP in the system store, which was obviously $30,000. This price, it was not cheap, especially considering that it was a motorbike.
But, considering that Kate ca from a big family with a net worth in billions, why would she be shocked by sothing priced in tens of thousands of dollars?
Kate blinked once, then took a step closer to inspect the bike, as if hoping it would sohow shrink if she looked long enough. When it didn’t, she let out a small breath and glanced back at him.
"You said a motorbike...," she said, her tone oddly restrained. After a pause, she continued "...not a luxury touring machine that looks like it belongs to a middle-aged man going on a cross-country vacation."
"Huh?" Michael was dumbfounded by Kate’s words. For a mont, he was lost, before he suddenly looked at the motorbike.
As he looked at it, he finally began understanding why Kate had reacted the way that she did.
At this mont, he felt slightly embarrassed, but lucky for him, due to possessing the human insight skill, he was able to easily control his facial expression.
Previously, when he told Kate that he had a motorbike, he had just quickly found what he thought to be suitable. He wanted sothing that was luxurious to ride around, and could accommodate two people.
Obviously, he did not want to buy sothing very ordinary. Instead, it had to be sothing that was way more comfortable to sit on.
And from the description, he had seen that this seed to be the most luxurious motorbike that he could find, at least within the short ti that he had spent in the system store.
That was why he quickly made the purchase, without focusing much on the details of the appearance of the motorbike.
"You don’t like it? If not, I can have Lucas bring us another one. But that will take so ti." Michael responded.
He obviously wasn’t going to explain anything about the motorbike. As for Lucas bringing another bike over, that was obviously a plan of his own.
If Lucas had to buy another motorbike, the process would take quite a long ti. Instead, Michael was planning to just casually buy another motorbike from the system store, before having it delivered outside the community.
Then, Lucas could bring it over, but that would still take so ti. After all, Lucas was still within the villa, in his room. He was busy with making arrangents for the expansion of the restaurant chain.
"Lucas? Who is that? I have never t him before." Kate asked curiously.
It was only then that Michael rembered that Kate had never actually t with Lucas. During the ti that she ca to the apartnt, Lucas was living inside another apartnt in the sa building.
And this was also the first ti that she ca to the villa. And at the mont, Lucas was inside another room, and thus, the two of them had not t.
"Oh, I forgot about that. But anyway, he is just like Adrian, here to assist as well. Currently, he is in his room upstairs." Michael replied.
"I guess that he is busy. So, there is no need to disturb him. Anyway, since the ’motorbike’ is here, we can just use it." Kate shook her head as she said.
Since Kate had agreed, Michael took out the keys that had been placed into his pocket by the system during the purchase. As for the docunts regarding the purchase of the motorbike, they were in his room.
Michael swung his leg over the Honda Gold Wing and started the engine, the deep rumble filling the open garage.
Even though Kate was the one that was going to show him around, Michael was the one that was going to ride the motorbike. After all, it would feel kind of awkward to him if he sat behind Kate while she rode the bike.
Kate had no objections to this, as she quickly climbed behind Michael, her hands gripping the seat. Once she settled, Michael gave the throttle a gentle twist, and the bike surged smoothly from the garage apron onto the driveway, before it sped towards the exit of the community.
