Michael had not expected that Kate was going to ask for his opinion on this matter. This was sothing that he had thought that she was going to make a decision on her own. But now, she was actually involving him.
Susan was also completely shocked by Kate’s decision to involve Michael in this. From the way that she was speaking, it seed that as long as Michael said that she should go, she would. But if he said otherwise, she would not.
Thinking about this, she looked at Michael, trying to see what was so special about him. Previously, Kate had already inford her about the abilities that Michael had.
But she found it hard to believe that soone, of the sa age as themselves, was that capable. Being able to use guns and fight was not a problem. But to be so proficient in both of them, that was just too crazy.
No matter how much she thought about it, she just thought that maybe Michael had told her about this. Then, Kate imdiately believed him. In any case, it could be just an exaggeration that Michael was using in order to impress Kate.
Michael gazed at Kate, who was looking at him. In her eyes, he could see that there was trust. She trusted him to make a choice for her.
Michael had not expected her to trust him this much, despite the few interactions between them. But still, since she trusted him, he decided that he would help her.
By joining NEXUS, considering Kate’s character, it was inevitable that she would join the combat branch. So, in the future, she would be involved in several fights.
Thus, Michael thought, he had to send soone over to help her. As for who, he would make arrangents. It was quite easy for him to be able to know where Richard was. So, he would just have to find a way of sending a bio human to join NEXUS.
Good thing, every ti that he bought a bio human, the system would help in generating the background of that bio human. Hence, there was no problem even if Richard did so background check on the bio human.
As long as a bio human was next to Kate, at least, her safety would be much more improved. It might be difficult to be able to completely guarantee the safety, but at least, she would not be in detrintal danger all the ti.
’System, is there a possibility of generating a bio human, who directly obtains a position within NEXUS, especially the position of being the team leader of the Delta team?’ Michael suddenly thought of sothing before he asked.
If he could do it this way, then that would be better. It would at least save him a lot of ti. Additionally, with the bio human being in charge of the team, at least they would have an easy ti looking after Kate.
[It is impossible to directly fit a bio human into that position. After all, currently, the position is not vacant, and is occupied by soone else.]
Michael was slightly disappointed when he heard the system’s response. Though, he had kind of expected such an outco.
’Then, while generating the bio human’s background, can you make it so that the bio human has a clean background, one that can attract the attention of Richard, so that he can have the bio human join them?’ Michael asked.
For the other bio humans that he had bought so far, not even one of them did he decide on the setting of their background. But this ti, he hoped that the system would allow him to be able to determine the background.
[That is feasible. But, in order to make sure that this occurs, the bio human will not appear in front of you. But when you et, the bio human will recognize you as the master.]
With the system’s response, Michael felt relieved. But, he did not imdiately make a purchase. Instead, he looked at Kate who was still looking at him, waiting for his response.
"This is sothing concerning your future. So, I think that you should make this decision on your own. But whatever decision it is that you make, I will support you." Michael said.
Kate felt her heart skip a beat for a mont. Then, there was this feeling that rose in her heart. This feeling of being trusted, being supported no matter the choice made, it was sothing that she had only experienced during the ti that her father was alive, and currently from her mother.
If not for the fact that her mother could not change the decisions of the family, she would have undoubtedly refused to have Kate engaged to soone she did not like. But unfortunately, she did not have that ability.
Now, here was soone else who showed that he cared about her. And, as she felt her heartbeat suddenly accelerating, a faint blush appeared on her face.
And as she gazed at Michael’s eyes that were looking back at her, she felt the honesty and sincerity in them. He ant what he said.
So, she nodded. But then, she thought about another problem.
"About the recruitnt. If this is a special organization, and is kept as a secret, how am I supposed to explain to my mother about it? After all, if I suddenly disappear, my mother will be worried.
But at the sa ti, I cannot tell her about this. Otherwise, she will not believe , unless I show her the information on this organization. Additionally, my grandpa is also going to be worried about my whereabouts."
Hearing Kate’s worries, Michael shook his head as he said, "You don’t need to worry about that. Since they are associated with the governnt, they have their own ans.
For instance, in your case, they can just make it so that you are transferred sowhere else. That way, it would not be much of a problem, right?"
Kate realized that this was true. So, part of her worries was dispelled. But, there was another issue.
Just today, she had confessed to Michael. And, Michael claid that they should get to know each other better, before making a decision on whether to get together or not.
But suddenly, she was given an offer that was very tempting. So, should she go, or should she stay with Michael, so that they could see how the relationship between the two of them would developed?
If she left, the interaction between the two of them would be kind of limited. And, that would be quite problematic.
"Then, is there a chance for us? If I go, it is clear that I will be gone for years. So, what will happen then?" Kate asked in a worried voice.
Susan, who had been silent all this while, looked at Kate as though she was looking at a ghost. This was the sa Kate that she knew?
Why was she acting like this? This was completely unlike her. Was it true that after one fell in love, they could actually change?
And, from the looks of it, Kate had actually fallen for Michael. If this opportunity was real, and she could join a secret organization, the family would definitely not put much pressure on her about the engagent.
And since that was the case, she did not need to push things forward with Michael. But now, she was actually worried about the two of them being separated?
Michael on the other hand was not much surprised. After all, he already knew that Kate had feelings for him. So, he had already anticipated that sothing like this might happen.
"Why are you acting as though You cannot contact other people while being in this organization? It is not as though by joining this organization, you will be restricted.
You can co to visit ho occasionally, as long as you are free. And, you can contact your family from ti to ti, which is sothing that is allowed, but not during missions.
The main thing that you should pay attention to is the fact that you cannot reveal any information regarding to the organization and to soone else. This is sothing that you will sign about during the ti that you will be joining." Michael gave a reminder.
It was only then that Kate relaxed. Since this was how it was going to work, then there really wasn’t that much of a problem.
"If that is the case, then I have to make preparations. This ti, I will train hard. This way, I will make sothing of myself, then, we can get married in a few years, right?" Kate said as a slight smile appeared on her face.
Both Michael and Susan were left dumbfounded by Kate’s words. She was already thinking about getting married, when they had not even began dating?
Susan just held her head, feeling a slight headache as she felt that her friend had changed. She was not sure if this person standing in front of her, was the sa person that she knew from childhood.
"Alright, don’t focus too much on that. Instead, you should be thinking about the hardship that you will be enduring during the training. Their training regin is not forgiving." Michael gave a reminder.
"That is sothing that I will be worried about when I get there. But for now, what about going out for shopping? I have only ever gone shopping twice, and all those tis, I was with Susan." Kate suggested.
"Hey, what do you an? Are you trying to imply that I’m not good enough to go shopping with you? Is this a situation where once you get a boyfriend, you forget about your sister?" Susan exclaid from the side.
