Seeing Jas suddenly hold his head as if he was in pain, Oliver was stunned. He could not understand what was going on.

But within just a few seconds, he began looking around, as if he was looking for an enemy, while closing in on Jas.

If it had been before he beca a mutant, sothing like this, he could have thought of it as a sudden headache, maybe because Jas had not slept for quite a while, or he had drunk too much.

But ever since he beca a mutant, and understood that there were different types of superpowers out there, he could not be complacent.

No matter how ordinary a situation was, he was careful to make sure that it really was. He would never be ignorant, ignoring so ordinary looking dangers, only to end up suffering.

This kind of cautiousness, it was sothing that he had developed after being an assassin for quite a while now. After all, before he gained the abilities that he currently had, so of the thods that he used were just like that.

"Hey, what’s going on? Is it an attack?" Oliver, upon getting closer to Jas, he asked in a low voice.

Unfortunately, Jas did not seem to hear him, as he just continuously held his head in pain. He was grunting continuously, while trying to stop himself from screaming.

His previous shout had already attracted the attention of the other people around them, but most of them just looked over for a second before they ignored them.

Jas had already understood what was going on, and he was shocked. He had not expected that what Michael had told him back then was actually true.

Because he understood that this was a big issue, he did not want to involve others in this matter. Otherwise, if things got out of hand, who could tell, maybe he would end up dying?

He rembered what Michael had said clearly, which was, if he insisted on betrayal, he might end up dying. Just the thought of dying after surviving an incident where his life was on the line, it made Jas tremble all over.

As for Oliver’s inquiry, it was not that Jas had not heard him. He had heard him clearly, but every ti that he tried to explain, the pain that he was feeling intensified.

The pain was not just coming from the head, but the other parts of his body as well. It was just that the pain from the head was the most intense of all.

Seemingly, the mont that he decided to reveal the information regarding Michael, the mont that he thought about revealing it, he would feel the pain.

Previously, on many occasions, he had already thought of betraying Michael in many ways. But from the looks of it, it seed that only when he actually began doing it would he be punished.

As he understood this, he decided not to think about Michael at all. He tried as much as possible to shift his thoughts to sothing else, just to forget about him.

And this thod actually worked. It was just that, it was almost an entire minute later that the pain that he was feeling finally subsided.

As he deeply exhaled, he looked at Oliver who was looking back at him with concern in his eyes. It was also at this point that Jas suddenly realized that his entire body was soaked in sweat.

He took a handkerchief from his pocket, before wiping away the sweat on his face, while ignoring the other parts.

"What’s going on? Is it an attack? Should we leave this place right now?" Seeing Jas looking at him, Oliver quickly asked.

He was the kind of person disliked trouble. Even though he was an assassin, during the ti that he was on a mission, he would only make a move when he was sure.

On several occasions, before he beca a mutant, he had abandoned several missions, because he felt that the possibility of successfully completing the task was extrely low.

This was why, any task that he took, and took action, he had 99% completion rate. As for those that he was not sure about, he would go back to report in advance, before the tiline given ended.

This would then allow other assassins of the organization to take the task if they thought that they could complete it, or were tempted by the bounty.

This habit of his, it had not changed despite him being a mutant. Even though the dangers that they faced as mutants was not that high, especially when dealing with ordinary people, he was still cautious.

And now, not understanding what had happened to Jas, he thought that they should leave here first. Even though Jas seed to have recovered, and it does not look like he had suffered any kind of injury, Oliver was not willing to take any chances.

"Don’t worry, everything is okay. It was just a small problem that I had not taken care of before." Jas on the other hand simply waved his hand as he responded.

At the sa ti, he thought to himself, how would Michael contact him? Previously, when he left the villa, Michael had told him that if he was contacted, and instructed to do sothing, he should do as he was instructed.

At that ti, he thought that this was just a prank that was being played by Michael on him. But now, after experiencing that pain, he understood, everything was real.

Therefore, he did not want to explain anything to Oliver, afraid that by saying anything, he would experience the pain again.

At the sa ti, he was confused, wondering, how would Michael contact him? It was not as if they had exchanged contact information.

Or, was it possible that Michael had another thod of locating him? Could it be related to that injection?

And as he thought about the injection that he had received, he wondered, what was Michael’s origin? For him to be able to access such a thod of controlling people, why was it that he has never heard of it?

Or was it possible that the organization was hiding so information from them? Just the thought of this sent shivers running down his spine.

If the organization had also used the sa thod as the one that Michael had used on him, what would happen then?

If Michael wanted him to reveal the information related to the organization, would he not just end up dying? After all, he could know ignore any order from Michael, and neither good reveal the secrets from the organization.

At this point, he felt quite regretful, but vengeful at the sa ti. If not for that old man posting the mission, and him, thinking that it was an easy task, accepting the mission, all of this would never have happened.

But now that everything has already happened, he would have to start making preparations. He would have to know if the organization had as thods or not.

Only then would he be able to understand what he was supposed to do next.

Just as he was still imrsed in his thoughts, Oliver shook him as he asked, "Hey, what are you daydreaming about? Are you sure that there is no problem?"

"Yeah, there is no problem. Anyway, let’s go, let’s go back to the organization. I’m already tired of staying here anyway." Jas shook his head as he said while standing.

"Huh? Then, what about the mission? Are you going to abandon it, or do you want my assistance to complete it?" Oliver asked, confused.

"Don’t ntion it. In fact, I still need to look for that old guy, so that he can pay for the losses that I have suffered." Jas responded with gritted teeth.

Oliver on the other hand was left confused as he asked, "What loss are you talking about? You ran away, but it does not look like you suffered any injury or sothing like that, right?"

"Don’t worry about it." Jas had no any intention of clarifying it.

In his mind, he thought, Oliver could not understand what he had lost. After all, freedom was sothing that he had lost this ti.

While the death shadow organization could command him to do things, they did not have absolute control over him. But now, with Michael, things had changed.

If he went against what Michael wanted, would he experience that pain again? And if he continued refusing, would he end up dying? Just the thought of this made his anger intensify.

So, under the confused gaze of Oliver, Jas stord out of the bar, intending to go back to the organization first.

He had two reasons for going back. The first one was because he thought, he had to make sure that the organization knew that he had decided to abandon the task.

Secondly, he thought, maybe there was a possibility that Michael might not be able to reach him as long as he was at the headquarters of the organization.

And even if he ca, as long as Jas did not appear in front of him, what would Michael do? And, if he actually dared to visit the headquarters of the death shadow organization, it would be akin to seeking death.

The organization did not have just him and Oliver as mutants. There was quite a number of them, and Jas was not sure if he even knew all of them.

Completely ignoring Oliver’s inquiries, he got inside a taxi, and Oliver swiftly followed, before the taxi drove off into the distance.
