Upon hearing the shout, Michael stopped. He was not the only one who stopped, as everyone suddenly froze, while gazing towards the source of the voice.
For so of those that had not visited this shooting range before, or had visited it but not frequently, they were not that familiar with Max. Therefore, when they heard his voice, they looked over, to confirm who was speaking.
And when they looked over, they could not help but feel their bodies trembling slightly, when they realized that there was a gun in Max’s hand.
At this mont, the gun was pointed towards Michael, obviously, the words were ant for him. This made Jack and the others much more relieved, though they wondered, what would happen next?
Jack had not expected such a turn around of the situation. Initially, he thought that they were at an advantage, as his people were ard, while Alex and the others did not have any weapon on them.
Additionally, Jack and the others had already prepared before coming over, while Alex and the others were caught off guard.
And when Michael, this unexpected factor, spoke up, Jack understood that Michael’s background wasn’t simple. But, he never expected that Michael was this skilled.
To be able to take down on such a large number of people, even if they were not professional fighters, at least, so of them could fight. Additionally, with an advantage of having weapons, they should be able to deal quite so damage on Michael.
Unexpectedly, Michael had already dealt with 7 people, and he was completely unhard. This implied that his skill level was extrely high, not sothing that so spoiled rich kids could compare to.
No, with Max intervening, Jack finally felt relieved. He was not sure how he was supposed to handle this situation that was spiraling out of control.
The task that he was given was quite simple, to beat up everyone around Alex. The entire group had to be beaten to a pulp, even if they had to be sent to the ICU, there was no problem with that.
But looking at those that were currently wailing on the ground, it was clear that they would be the ones to be sent to the hospital instead.
Now, with Max taking action, Jack felt much more relieved, as if a huge burden had just been relieved from his shoulders. But even then, he was scared, hoping for Max to be able to handle Michael as soon as possible.
As long as Michael was dealt with, the rest could be left to him, and he would be able to complete the task that he was assigned.
Just as he was thinking about this, Max gazed at Michael with a complicated expression on his face. At this mont, he felt much more reluctant to go against Michael.
During his first visit here, Michael had demonstrated incredible marksmanship skills. This was sothing that Max already knew about, as it was impossible to be able to hide it, especially considering that there were caras in the shooting lanes.
Max had watched the video where Michael demonstrated his skills, and he was thoroughly impressed. That level of skill, it was unheard of from soone of Michael’s age.
The skills that Michael demonstrated, added to the fact that he was the owner of Sky Technologies, inford Max that Michael’s background wasn’t simple.
But now, with the combat skills that Michael had just demonstrated, it made Max feel even more terrified. Just what kind of monster was Michael? And what kind of background was capable of giving birth to such a monster?
The more that he thought about this, the more reluctant he was to intervene. But right now, what could he do? He was already considered to have gone against Michael.
At least, at the mont, there was Ethan behind them, who also had an incredible background. As long as Ethan was involved, the possibility of him being targeted by Michael would be quite low.
But even then, he understood one thing, as long as he did not make things worse, he could escape this situation. If he did not shoot, and allowed Michael to leave, at least, he would not be held accountable by Michael’s background.
As for Ethan blaming him, what could he have done? In any case, it was not as if he was going to shoot Michael, right? If he did, Max believed that even Ethan might not be able to protect him.
To soone like Ethan, Max, Jack and the others were just pawns that could be abandoned or sacrificed after they had completed their task.
Facing the muzzle of the pistol that was pointed towards him, Michael was very calm. At the mont, with his abilities, it was impossible for Max to be able to do anything to him.
Yes, there was quite a distance between them, about 10 ters or so, but it was a distance but Michael could easily cover. This implied, Max would only be able to shoot one or two tis, before Michael got to him.
With Michael’s current reflexes, he was capable of reacting even before the trigger was pulled. Therefore, he was not afraid of the bullets. Anyway, it was not as if he was going to compete against the bullets in terms of speed.
Seeing that Michael was gazing at him, Max felt his heart trembling slightly. Still, he managed to steel his nerves as he said in a firm voice, "Michael, I understand that your background is big. And today, you were caught in the aftermath of sothing that should not involve you.
Since that is the case, why don’t you leave? As long as you leave, and forget about Alex and the others, nobody is going to make things hard for you."
"Max, are you crazy? You are seriously going all out just because of these bastards? I never thought of you going so low, to serve soone!" Imdiately after Max spoke, Alex erupted on the other side.
Alex and Max were friends. While the friendship between the two of them wasn’t as good as that of Raymond and the others, but even then, they were in a pretty good relationship.
Alex understood Max quite well, and this guy was very proud. So, seeing him doing this, especially targeting him, Alex felt completely puzzled, with his understanding of Max completely overturned.
Max did not bother to respond to Alex’s outburst, as he just gazed at Michael, waiting for his response. He was afraid that if he failed to pay attention, Michael might suddenly attack him.
The skills and speed that Michael had demonstrated were almost inhuman. Therefore, Max dared not to be reckless, especially because he was pointing a gun at Michael.
Michael did not respond, his stance clear. He was obviously not going to abandon Alex and the others. If he really was the target, then he would be the one who would have implicated Alex and the others.
And since that was the case, it would be much better to handle this problem by himself, instead of allowing Alex and the others to be hard.
Seeing Michael’s expression, Max’s expression shifted. He imdiately understood, Michael had no intention of leaving. This left him both sad and frustrated.
He was sad because, he was the one that was supposed to stand with Alex and the others in a situation like this. At least, Alex had helped him out on many occasions, and he really owed him quite a number of favors.
But now, he was the one that was leading the charge against Michael, which made him feel extrely guilty. But considering the situation, what could he even do?
After all, his actions and decisions would not just affect his own life, but the life of his family as well. At the mont, there really was nothing that he could do to help Alex and his group.
As for the frustration, it was from Michael’s attitude. If Michael left, it would make things much more simple to handle. At least, he would just have to make sure that Alex and the others did not suffer severe injuries.
But with Michael insisting on staying here, things would get much more complicated. And if he really was forced to shoot Michael, then, things would definitely blow out of proportion.
While he was still deep in thought about this, Jack suddenly spoke up, after his confidence had returned.
He sneered at Michael and said, "What an idiot! You have just been given away out, yet you don’t want to take it? Do you think that just because you are good at fighting, you can fight against a bullet?
If you think that you can dodge the bullet, then continue standing there. Otherwise, scram and get out of here."
Just like Max, he did not want to complicate things with Michael. Without understanding Michael’s background, it was much better to have things stay as they currently were.
Otherwise, if it ended up being a situation where Michael was fighting to the death, things would be much more complicated than he could handle. Of course, he believed that Ethan would definitely not go all out in order to protect him, just because he was the one who had instructed them to co and cause trouble for Alex and the others.
So, if they could avoid Michael, that would be much better. This was exactly why he was willing to give Michael yet another chance to leave.
But just as all of them were puzzled and confused about what Michael intended to do, Alex and the others, despite feeling tense, they felt a little more confident in Michael.
This was not the first ti that Michael had been threatened with a gun. Back then at the KTV, he had faced a situation where he was shot at, but he was still able to deal with the situation.
No, they were wondering, would he continue with dealing with this group, or would he abandon them? Though, they really hoped that he would not abandon them, but they still felt that he should leave, not to be implicated because of their own conflicts.
Just as everyone was silent, having their own thoughts, Michael’s words left everyone completely stunned.
"Do you know that you are currently committing several cris, including trespassing?" Michael asked, his brows raised.
