Michael did not react to Onyx’s notification of soone coming to visit him. Instead, he just continued holding Kate in his embrace, until she was finally calm.
Initially, Kate was feeling quite overwheld. After all, she had just dealt with soone who had caused her so much trouble.
It was because this person had killed her father, that she had not experienced at the sa childhood as other children. Ever since she was young, she had to endure harsh training, while other kids enjoyed life.
With her background and the support of the Morgan family, she would have definitely had gotten a better childhood, if not for the death of her father.
Therefore, the hatred that she held towards this guy, it was trendous. When she got the chance to take revenge, she could not hold back at all.

Kate was left montary speechless, as a blush crept to her face. Indeed, she had asked Lina to stay behind for a bit, before she ca to surprise Michael.
At that ti, she was thinking, she would once again bring up the issue regarding her relationship with Michael. She therefore did not want Lina to be there, otherwise, she would feel kind of awkward.
Unexpectedly, after the two of them had confird their relationship, they ended up chatting for several hours. Then, the issue about Bob was brought up, and they went to the basent, where she dealt with him.
All this while, she had really forgotten about Lina, and the fact that she had told her that she would go looking for her.
It was just that she found it unexpected that Lina would be here, looking for her. But then, she thought, maybe she had asked Adrian to bring her here?
Just as she was still thinking about this, Michael pulled her, and the two of them sat on a couch in the living room.

Lina nodded, before she went ahead and sat on another couch, sitting directly in front of Kate, separated by the coffee table.
At this mont, as she looked at the stunned gaze on Kate’s face, Lina chuckled slightly, finding this amusing. It was quite rare to be able to find such an expression on Kate’s face.
"How cute," she could not help but remark.
It was only after Lina had said those words that finally, Kate ca back to her senses. She looked at Lina, before looking back at Michael, totally confused.
Seeing her confusion, Michael explained, "Her relationship with , it is just like that of a superior and a subordinate. She works for , but the type of address that she uses, it is almost the sa as during the ancient tis.
Anyway, she is soone that I had arranged to protect you. I wasn’t very sure about NEXUS, which was why I had to make so arrangents for soone to be with you, in case your life was in danger."
With Michael’s revelation, so many things finally began making sense to Kate. It was just that, she wondered, just when did Michael start making the arrangent?
Clearly, from what she understood, Richard Theodore, the very sa person who had extended an invitation for her to join NEXUS, was moving around, randomly looking for possible candidates to join the organization.
But of course, before making a decision on inviting soone, they would be completely investigated. Once their background was clear, they would be allowed to join the training camp.

That implied that Richard must have set his eyes on Lina for quite a while now, before making an invitation for her to join the organization. Or there was another possibility, that Richard already knew about her, and followed Michael’s arrangent, of allowing Lina to be beside her.
As for the friendship between the two of them, Kate understood that this was not sothing that had been forced. Instead, it seed kind of natural, as Lina had never forced the two of them to converse or anything of the sort.
Additionally, as she thought about this, Kate realized that the strength that Lina had been demonstrating, it all made sense. Maybe from the start, she was already a mutant?
And talking about mutants, maybe, the serum that she had been injected with, had already been pre-arranged? If Michael could have Richard, the commander of Nexus go with his plan, then it should not be a problem for him to be able to arrange for a certain type of serum to be injected into her body, right?
