"I just thought that it would not be a bad idea for to co early. That way, in case you have any plans of going to the capital hours before the auction, I can accompany you.
Even though I don’t usually stay at the capital, I have visited it several tis so, I’m a little familiar with so places.
Maybe I can be of assistance, just in case the place is that I know, you don’t know about them." Carol responded with a smile.
Listening to that reasoning, Michael could only shake his head at that. Regardless, he allowed her into the villa.
And as she entered, Michael wondered what she was carrying, considering that she was carrying two shopping bags. Probably, they were from the city that the company that he was signed with was located, as Michael could not recognize those logos.
After getting inside, Michael went ahead and prepared so food for her. It only took a few minutes, and he served a few dishes for Carol.
Carol on the other hand, upon seeing the dishes on the table, she was excited. The mont that the food was served, she dived in, ravenously eating the food.
What she had not told Michael was the fact that, she ca this early because she wanted to enjoy these dishes.
The level of the dishes prepared within Michael’s villa, were what she could not find anywhere else. Even in those high level restaurants, she had decided to pay a visit to one of them. And the end result was the fact that the food there, as compared to Michael’s, was subpar.
It was not often that she got the chances to enjoy this food. So, when an opportunity presented itself, she had to seize it.
After all, apart from her tight schedule, there was also the fact that she could not just co to visit Michael whenever she wanted. Hence, with the issue of the auction presenting the chance, she had to arrive on ti.
Michael did not say anything as he just went back to the living room, leaving Carol to eat at the dining table.
It took quite a few minutes before Carol was done with the food. After that, she joined Michael in the living room.
But, the living room ended up being silent for quite a while, as Michael said nothing, just browsing on his phone. As for Carol, she was hesitating, as if she wanted to say sothing, but she was not sure if she should say or not.
Michael seed to notice this when he glanced at her, so, he decided to break the silence.
"Did you return the card that you were given before?" Michael asked, his tone nonchalant.
"Ah? Yes, I did. Imdiately after I left here, I found him, and gave it back to him." Carol responded, despite the slight surprise at Michael’s question.
"Well then, since that is the case, why don’t you go around the city for a while, and wait until the ti to leave arrives? I will call you, before the departure." Michael nodded before he suggested.
He thought, there was no need for Carol to continue staying within the house, idle all the ti. It was making things a little awkward, with neither of them speaking.
In actual sense, despite helping her a few tis, Michael was not really familiar with Carol. She had visited him on a few occasions, but they did not chat that much.
Additionally, anyti that they talked about anything, it was mainly related to music. She would ask a few questions, and Michael would give her so pointers on what she could improve or change.
Carol, upon hearing Michael’s words, felt a little disappointed. But even then, she thought that what he had said made sense. Maybe he had so plans?
Because of that, she nodded as she stood up and said, "Okay, I’m going out. I will be back in the afternoon, I’m not sure if that is within the schedule of your departure?"
"I’m planning on leaving around 3:00 p.m. So, as long as you co back before that ti, there should be no problem at all." Michael responded.
"Sure, I will make sure to watch the ti." Carol responded before she left, leaving behind the two shopping bags that she had co with.
After she left, Michael did not do anything else other than watching so funny clips, passing ti while waiting for Kate to co over from training.
He did not have to wait for long, as about an hour later, Kate arrived. Because the villa’s internal facilities were all completely demolished and replaced with the training chamber, there was no bathroom where Kate could take a shower.
So, as she ca over, still dressed in her training outfit, there were little beads of sweat on her forehead, with a few strands of her hair clinging to her face.
As Michael looked at her, he had to admit that Kate was such a beauty. It was no wonder that he had stared at her for quite a while during their first eting.
"What? Do I look beautiful that I have completely enchanted you?" Kate, upon noticing Michael’s gaze lingering on her, asked as she posed in front of him, as if she was at a fashion show.
But looking at her, Michael could tell that she was not familiar with this, as her moves for a little awkward. But even then, it still enhanced her beauty.
"Definitely. With the way that I am enchanted by you, I’m wondering, do you perhaps have so kind of enchanting magic?" Michael questioned back after an admission.
"Nah, I don’t have any type of enchanting magic. But I believe that my beauty and personality are enough to be able to make you infatuated with ." Kate responded proudly.
After that, the two chatted for a little while longer, before Kate went upstairs to freshen up. And a few minutes later, she ca back, having already changed into a new pair of clothes.
Kate’s blonde hair was gathered into a loose low ponytail, with a few soft strands escaping to fra her face. Her brown eyes stood out against her fair complexion.
She wore a fitted cream knit top paired with high-waisted dark trousers that accentuated her tall, slender fra. A lightweight cardigan rested over her shoulders, while simple flats completed her look.
She descended the stairs, before she went ahead and sat next Michael. Then, she lay down, her head resting on Michael’s thighs.
Recently, she had gotten much more bolder, and comfortable around Michael. This was why she was much more carefree around him.
Since Michael had already inford her before, that they would be going to the capital, Kate knew that they would not go out for a stroll today.
Hence, with Michael continuously ruffling her hair, the two began talking. Initially, they talked about themselves, before they began talking about so random things.
Michael realized that he found joy in so idle talk with Kate, which made his recently boring life to beco much brighter.
The two of them continuously chatted, without paying much attention to the ti. It was only when the doorbell rang that they finally ca back to their senses.
"Let get the door." Kate said as she stood up, before heading towards the door.
As she opened it, she looked at the lady outside, with slightly raised brows. She did not seem to know this person. Probably, she was Michael’s guest.
So, she did not question her, and instead, just welcod her into the villa.
On the other hand, Carol was left dumbfounded when she was welcod by another woman. She had thought that Michael would be the one opening the door.
But now, seeing this lady, who seed to be almost of the sa age as Michael, she was slightly confused.
Despite the many questions that appeared in her mind, she did not ask, as she smiled politely at Kate, before getting into the villa.
Kate close the door, before following behind her. And as Carol was sitting on a couch that was opposite from where Michael was, she was stunned by what happened next.
She saw Kate walk over to the couch where Michael was lounging sideways, both legs drawn up onto the cushions and his back resting against the armrest.
Without hesitation, Kate sat in front of him and leaned back. Michael imdiately slipped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer until her back rested comfortably against his chest.
"This..." Carol was not sure about what to say.
Even though she had not t with Michael for a long ti, and not frequently, she knew that he did not seem to have any girl around him.
So, how co that today, he had soone? And looking at the way they were, it was as if this was sothing very natural to them?
When Carol suddenly spoke, Michael realized that he had not introduced the two ladies. So, he said, "Carol, this is my girlfriend, Kate. Kate, this is a friend, Carol. She will be accompanying us to the capital for the auction."
The mont that Michael made the introduction, Carol’s heart sank a little. She felt a little bitter inside, but it did not last long, as she quickly composed herself.
She smiled at Kate, who was already smiling at her, and the two ladies nodded at each other in acknowledgnt.
"Okay, we should go and prepare. It is already almost ti, so, I will go upstairs and take a shower first. You two can chat with each other and get to know each other first." Michael said as he moved Kate slightly, before he stood up.
