The auction was held in the Financial District, one of the most expensive areas in the capital. Surrounded by skyscrapers, luxury hotels, and corporate headquarters, the district was known as the center of wealth and power.

The helicopter landed on top of a trademark building within the capital. Michael and the two ladies alighted, with the two ladies looking at Michael with admiration in their eyes.

Kate was handling the situation much better as compared to Carol. After all, she understood that there was a possibility that Michael possessed an ability that allowed him to be able to learn things at a fast speed.

Therefore, despite the fact that it was surprising to her that Michael knew how to fly a helicopter, she felt that it was understandable.

At least, she believed, if she had the ability of learning this fast, he would definitely be able to fly a helicopter, while possessing other skills as well.

Still, she was wondering just how overpowered that ability was. After all, since their first eting to now, it was only just a few months.

What kind of ability was this overpowered, to allow a person to be able to learn so many skills, and master them to the highest level, within such a short ti?

No matter how she thought about this, it definitely did not relate to the information that was revealed to them by Peter at the training camp. Nonetheless, she thought, there was a possibility that the information that was revealed to them was just partial.

Carol on the other hand was looking at Michael as if she was looking at an alien. During the entire journey, she had been staring at him, and even after they arrived, she was still staring.

At this mont, she felt as though her brain had short-circuited. No matter how much she thought about it, she just could not understand how this was possible.

It was already shocking to her when she realized how skilled Michael was when it ca to music. His skills were beyond anyone that she knew before eting him.

At least, from her perspective, Michael’s skill level when it ca to music was among the experts, those that had spent years horning their skills.

According to her, she thought that Michael was a genius. That was why, despite his young age, he possessed such incredible skills and knowledge.

But now, she felt her entire world being overturned. Being a pilot was sothing that required years of training.

From the way that Michael had been flying the helicopter, it was clear that this was not his first ti. Definitely, he had experience flying helicopters.

But from her knowledge, Michael was definitely a teenager. So, how co he was this skilled? Could it be possible that he was allowed to train how to fly helicopters while he was very young?

Just what kind of background would allow soone to start training such an advanced skill at a very young age?

This, it was sothing that she could only think of being possible, maybe in those short dramas or fantasy novels.

Michael did not care about the gazes that he was receiving from the two ladies. Instead, he led the way from the top of the building. He already knew the location of the auction, so, he headed straight there.

The auction house occupied the top three floors of the Imperial Trade Tower, a hundred-story skyscraper standing among the few tallest buildings in the city.

The auction itself was held on the ninety-eighth floor, while the upper floors contained private lounges, eting rooms, and offices reserved for important guests.

Of course, it was impossible to directly access the auction house from the rooftop. Instead, they would need to take an elevator that would take them directly to the ground floor.

It would be from there that they would once again take another elevator, that would take them back up. This was a security asure that was put in place, as for the reason, Michael was not sure.

But maybe, it was just to make sure that whoever went to the top floors, was monitored. After all, if the auction house dealt with very important items, then, it would not be much of a surprise if so people would attempt to get their hands on them.

Inside the elevator, it was not just Michael and the two ladies. Instead, they were joined by three other n, who were all dressed in elegant suits.

None of the six people spoke to the other, as they all kept to themselves inside the elevator. Probably, none of the three knew each other, and Michael’s group did not bother to talk to them either.

It did not take long, before two of them left the elevator along the way. Only one of them went with them to the 98th floor, where the auction house was located.

As they approached the 98th floor, this man, with a bald head and a clean-shaven chin, seed surprised. He had not anticipated that these two would actually be heading towards the 98th floor.

While there was no prohibition that nobody would go to the 98th floor, most of the people that ca to this building understood that the 98th floor was regulated.

Only those with permission could access that floor. It was no wonder that at tis, so people would take the elevator there, only for them to be turned away.

The man could not help but cast a glance at the three, sizing them up. But upon realizing that Michael and Kate seed to be in their teenage years, with Carol seeming to be a little older, he imdiately lost interest in them.

Instead, a flicker of disdain appeared in his eyes, as he completely ignored them. He thought, he would just wait to watch a show the mont that they got to the 98th floor.

Beep! 98th floor!

With the notification, the elevator stopped, and the doors opened. The mont that the doors opened, soft golden lights illuminated the entrance of the elevator.

And in front of them, there was an open space, where there was a security checkpoint.

The stranger to Michael and the two ladies was the first to step out of the elevator. Michael’s group followed behind him.

Michael had of course noticed that this guy was looking at them with a strange gaze. And from the information that he possessed, he assud that this guy had so doubts about their presence here.

Regardless, Michael did not pay much attention to what this guy thought about. It was the sa with the two ladies, who, just from the gaze they received from the man before he walked out of the elevator, understood what he implied.

For the two of them, Kate understood that Michael’s background wasn’t simple. That was due to the fact that he could access the information related to mutants.

As for Carol, it was mainly because the mont that she revealed to Michael about the existence of the auction house, Michael told her that he could acquire another access card. So, she was not bothered by the fact that soone doubted them.

The three ignored the guy who was standing on the side, and approached the security checkpoint.

The process was mostly automated. Several scanning gates stood before the entrance, each equipped with card readers and facial recognition systems.

Michael first placed the access card that he had acquired from the system store, the VVIP card, against a scanner. Even though he did not like attention, this ti, he understood that he had to use this card.

It was mainly because he wanted to gain access to the best items that could be found within the auction house. And the only way of doing that was by having the highest access of the auction.

After all, usually, the auction started with ’ordinary’ items, before moving to more complex and secretive items and information.

The system imdiately verified the card’s authenticity and displayed the holder’s information on a nearby screen. At the sa ti, caras scanned his face to confirm his identity.

"Welco, honored guest!!" There was an automated voice that rang out the mont that the verification was completed.

The mont that voice sounded, shock appeared on the face of the man who was waiting for a show. As for the security guards who were on standby, they imdiately beca respectful while looking at Michael.

"Let’s go." Michael said as he turned to look at the two ladies. And just like that, they went through the checkpoint without anyone stopping them.

Ordinary access cards allowed only the registered holder to enter. If another person attempted to enter using the sa card, the system would reject the request imdiately.

VIP access cards allowed the holder to bring one additional guest. Once the card was scanned, the system automatically recorded both individuals before granting entry.

VVIP access cards had no limit on accompanying guests. As long as the card holder was present, everyone entering with them would be allowed through after passing the security scan.

Although the system was automated, uniford security personnel were stationed throughout the checkpoint. Their role was to handle disputes, monitor suspicious activity, and respond to ergencies.

After passing security, Michael and the two ladies entered a spacious reception hall. Staff mbers guided them toward their designated sections according to their access level.

Because of the status of the VVIP card that Michael was carrying, they were treated very respectfully. This was sothing that left Carol, who understood a bit about the auction house much more surprised.

And at that, quite a number of questions appeared in her mind, about Michael’s background.
