As for being lonely at the top, I guess you will have to be lonely for the rest of your life.

Michael was just about to get into the car when suddenly, Alex stopped him.
"Your schedule, when are you free? You should co and hang out with us more often. We can take you to places that you have never been or will never be during your duration of stay in this city. What do you think?" Alex asked.
"No worries. I will inform you when my schedule is free, then I’ll join you guys. But for now, I really need to go." Michael responded.
Since he had already raced and won easily, Michael did not find any other reason to continue being here. In any case, he had already ford an acquaintance with Alex and the others.
In the future, in case there was sothing that he needed there assistance with, he might be able to ask them for help.
Additionally, he thought, instead of continuing being here and chattering about so useless topics, it would be better for him to go back first. After all, he had to try out and see if he could advance the cyber security skills to the expert level.
"Alright. Next ti we hang out together, I will take you to find so girls. You might be interested in them, in case you don’t have a girlfriend, and none of those present here caught your eye.
This city of ours, it has quite a number of top-notch beauties. I’m pretty sure that one or two of them will be able to et your tastes." Alex chuckled as he said.
Michael was just about to respond when suddenly, Raymond walked over.
"What nonsense are you spouting, Alex? Have you forgotten that you are already engaged to soone? If you continue like this, I doubt that you will be able to fulfill the engagent." Raymond stated with a grumpy expression on his face.
It was clear, he was unhappy about the results. Previously, he thought, even if he could not beat Michael, he should be able to beat Alex.
He had been training for quite a while, believing that his skills had improved. Who would have thought that Alex had improved his skills as well?
And just as Alex had said at the start, he had ended up finishing in the third place. Just by looking at the gazes that he was receiving from those around, he felt quite uncomfortable.
It was just that there was nothing that he could do about it, unless he actually defeated Alex. As for defeating Michael, he did not even think about that.
Now, finding that there was sothing that he could talk about to criticize Alex, he imdiately seized the chance.
By using this thod, maybe he might be able to prevent Alex from being too arrogant. Otherwise, this guy might end up being smug in front of him for the entire of the following week.
"What engagent? I never agreed to that. My old man was the one that was involved in arranging the engagent. It is not as though I cannot get a good girl by myself.

It seed that he was quite displeased by this matter. But, from the looks of it, he was helpless, and could not change anything about it.
Michael, upon hearing the exchange between the two, he seed to understand. This was just the kind of life that youngsters from those top families had to go through.
They would end up being forced into marrying soone that they did not like. All of this was just because of the dignity, and benefits of the family.
Who in the family cared about others’ happiness? Most of the adults within the families were either married off or married soone that they did not initially like.
Since that was the case, they did not feel anything much when making arrangents for the younger generation.
"Alex, you better grow up. You should know, this is sothing that you are bound to go through.
You were born into a wealthy family, and have been experiencing a luxurious life from birth. Now, it is ti for you to pay for all that you have been given during the past years.
You can say, it is kind of a transaction. The family provides for you, but when you grow up, you have to look for a way of strengthening the family. That’s just how things work out." Dalton, who had also just arrived, responded to Alex’s words.
"Of course, I know. Otherwise, do you think that I would only be talking about this here? If I had the ability, I would have already canceled the engagent.

In order to tell if Michael was younger than them or not, they did not really need to ask him for his age. Instead, just by looking at Michael, one could easily tell that he was still in his teenage years.
After all, Michael had turned 18 just a few months ago. And despite all the hardships that he had undergone ever since he lost his parents, that did not make him look older.
"? I’m just an ordinary person, with a few skills. Nothing much, really." Michael responded casually.
He was after all just an ordinary person, with a system. Of course, he could not ntion the system to others, so, he said skills.
"Skills? It seems that you are quite skilled in sothing else?" Alex caught on sothing and quickly asked.
"You will find out about that next ti. But for now, I really have to go." Michael shook his head as he responded.
He got into the car, preparing to depart. But, Alex once again stopped him.

It was only then that Michael rembered that there was the $51,000 that he had taken out before participating in the competition.
The number of people that had participated in this race was 14. Each one of them had given $51,000.
The $1,000 was registration, which in actual sense, was being used to pay for renting out the Motorsports Park.
To rent out the Summit Motorsports Park for a day, they needed to pay $20,000. With 14 of them, that was only $14,000.
For the $6,000, it was usually covered by those watching in the spectator stands.
As for the $50,000, it was all pooled together. All the money was given to the winner. There were no second place or third place prizes.
With a total of 14 people, that was an extra $700,000 that had been earned.
It was at this point that Michael realized, if he participated in events like this, he might be able to make so quick bucks.
But of course, he understood, these events were quite limited. And, for him to be able to win such a huge amount of money, it required the involvent of these youngsters from the wealthy families.

It seems, next ti, if he was competing against soone, he would have to hold back slightly. That way, he might be able to earn more benefits, rather than gaining benefits a single ti.

In the next mont, he drove the car away, without giving Alex and the others a chance of saying anything.
Watching as the car disappeared from the Motorsports Park, Alex simply shook his head with a faint smile on his face.
"Alex, do you perhaps know sothing about that kid? It seems like he is not from here, and more than that, he might possibly be from the central province." Raymond suddenly asked, causing the smile on Alex’s face to vanish.
