1210: Chapter 1180: Let Them Know How Formidable We Are!
At noon, Han Hefei hosted a feast for the prominent Spanish businessman Rohas and his party, with Bai Xiaosheng accompanying throughout the event.
During the al, whenever Han Hefei and Rohas wanted to talk or say sothing, it had to go through Bai Xiaosheng.
No one really knew how Bai Xiaosheng translated their words, whether he added sothing extra or asked so additional questions.
However, both parties enjoyed the conversation imnsely, with Rohas being more considerate than usual, and Han Hefei similarly very pleased with the conversation.
The lunch lasted until past two in the afternoon, at which point the guests and hosts left the hotel with satisfaction.
The hotel served good food, drinks, and conversation.
anwhile, at Shenhe Group, Chu Wei, Lin Weiwei, and Lei Ying, who were left “forgotten”, were starving.
Chu Wei was eagerly waiting, hoping soone would co and take him to lunch, but no one showed up even by two o’clock.
Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were also growing impatient.
The three had actually stepped out of the reception room to ask around, and everyone they encountered was polite.
However, they all suggested it would be best for them to just go back and wait, as it would look bad if the managent called for them and they were not available.
If not for these comnts, Chu Wei would have left to eat and co back afterwards.
But being advised so, he didn’t dare to leave.
Now, with the assistant position secured by soone nad Lin Sheng, the three of them likely had different assignnts, “so better than others,” and if he went out to eat during such a critical mont and managent asked about position preferences in his absence—
That would be a huge disadvantage for him!
Besides, Yu Shuangyu said before leaving that he would arrange for their al.
Chu Wei presud Assistant Yu wouldn’t stand them up.
So, they waited a bit more!
After all, skipping one al wouldn’t kill them.
Having made up his mind, Chu Wei toughed it out.
Skipping a al might not be a big deal for others, but for soone like Chu Wei, who had an exceptional digestive system, it wasn’t so simple.
He had a big appetite and got hungry easily, possibly due to what’s known as a “hungry constitution.”
Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying didn’t leave either, thinking Yu Shuangyu would have sothing planned, so it was better to wait.
Moreover, they didn’t have to endure hunger—
“I have two Snickers bars here, one for you and one for , to tide us over.”
Around one o’clock, Lin Weiwei took out two Snickers bars from her small bag and handed one to Lei Ying.
Lei Ying smiled imdiately.
This stuff was good at staving off hunger.
Chu Wei, feeling dizzy from hunger, watched them chewing on peanut caral chocolate, couldn’t help but swallow his saliva and approached the young lady, shalessly asking, “Do you have any more?
Give one too!”
“Sorry, I only have two,” Lin Weiwei said nonchalantly while chewing deliciously.
She had been irritated by him for half the day; even if she had more, she wouldn’t have given him any.
Feeding him so he’d have the energy to be more annoying?
Lin Weiwei was not that foolish.
Disgruntled, Chu Wei left to get a cup of water from the dispenser and gulped it down to alleviate his hunger.
After waiting another hour, a listless Chu Wei, lying on his desk, heard so rustles, looked up bewilderingly and saw Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying eating cookies!
“Where did you get that food from!” Chu Wei exclaid.
“From my bag,” responded Lin Weiwei as if it were the most obvious thing.
Chu Wei was speechless.
This terrible woman, clearly having food, kept it hidden.
And why didn’t she share any with him?
“Give so!” Chu Wei swallowed his saliva.
“Sorry, I only had two packets, mine are all finished,” Lin Weiwei said, tossing the empty packet into the bin.
Chu Wei looked at Lei Ying, hoping to get a piece from him.
Lei Ying’s gaze was cold as he deliberately chewed on the cookies slowly.
Watching Lei Ying’s fierce and blank stare, Chu Wei had no choice but to look away.
Checking the ti, Chu Wei couldn’t stand it anymore; he stood up and walked out.
Not eating for a long ti made his hungry constitution even more unbearable.
“I can’t take it anymore!
It’s already two o’clock; I need to eat, I have to go eat!” Chu Wei muttered as he walked.
Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying exchanged a surprised look.
Who knew Chu Wei could get this hungry?
Just as Chu Wei opened the door to leave the reception room, soone happened to be entering.
They looked at each other, montarily taken aback.
“Assistant Yu, you finally ca!” Chu Wei’s expression was a mix of sorrow and joy.
Yu Shuangyu looked at this middle-aged peer in surprise, thinking, why such a reaction to seeing .
“You three haven’t had lunch yet, right?
That’s my oversight.
I got busy with so work from the leadership and forgot about it.
I haven’t eaten either, so let’s go together,” Yu Shuangyu said with a cordial smile.
Hearing about food, Chu Wei felt like he heard the sound of heaven’s lody but still expressed his surprise, “You haven’t eaten either?!”
“Yes, the only qualified person to accompany was Lin Sheng, and even I, as the chief assistant, had to wait outside,” Yu Shuangyu stated indifferently.
Seemingly unconcerned.
“How could you, as the chief assistant, not be present at the table!” Chu Wei seed quite surprised.
Yu Shuangyu just smiled, casually saying “all for work,” and then led the trio straight to the Shenhe Group cafeteria.
With him leading, they could still get food even if the cafeteria was closed.
Actually, letting these three go hungry wasn’t an oversight by Yu Shuangyu, but a deliberate act.
No one had lunch so they all shared the hardship, and him personally taking them for a al was sharing comfort.
Sharing both sweet and bitter experiences could make them feel closer to him.
