Chapter 1385: Chapter 1261: How Is It Them!_2

After all, William and Wei Xueyuan could be considered close friends; if Wei Xueyuan were to take charge of the Wei Family, it would be imnsely beneficial for him in vying for status within the William Family!

“I am her cousin. If I honk the horn and overtake her, so what? She must show respect to her elder brother!” Wei Xueyuan sneered at William’s “concern,” saying, “Do you think my brothers truly acknowledge her? They just don’t dare to express it. But I do! I, Wei Xueyuan, must fight! Even if—yes, even if—I lose, I will make Wei Xuelian afraid of ! Even if she, Wei Xuelian, really becos the head of the Wei Family in the future, I must be the person she fears the most!”

Hearing these words, William gave him a thumbs-up, his eyes filled with admiration.

Of course, William’s praise was ultimately rooted in his own interests.

Wei Xueyuan’s car passed through the checkpoints all along the way, drawing steadily closer to the villa complex’s entrance.

All cars would only pause briefly at the main entrance, allowing their guests to disembark, and were then directed on a route to the parking area.

Those who had alighted earlier were greeting each other warmly.

As mbers of elite circles, most of them were already acquainted.

Among them, the Wei Family offspring were especially surrounded by admirers, chatting and laughing rrily.

The mont Wei Xueyuan and William got out of the car, all eyes turned toward them.

“Brother Xueyuan!”

“Xueyuan, you’re here!”

The Wei Family juniors were the first to approach and greet them. After all, Wei Xueyuan commanded both seniority in age and an imposing presence in their daily lives.

With the Wei Family juniors leading the way, other guests also flocked over, each eager to exchange greetings with Wei Xueyuan.

In no ti, a lively crowd had ford around him.

William stood nearby, smiling as he observed.

“No wonder Wei Xueyuan is so full of pride… In the family, he holds such enormous influence, yet he has to sit back and watch as a younger sister vies for the position of family head. Honestly, anyone in his position would find it hard to accept!”

Wei Xueyuan, smiling as he spoke to those gathered around him, suddenly caught sight of a car pulling up nearby. A young man stepped out, sporting a fashionable haircut and outfit. After exiting, he even paused to adjust his hairstyle.

Upon spotting the crowd surrounding Wei Xueyuan, his eyes instantly lit up, and he strode briskly forward.

“Brother Xueyuan!”

From outside the circle, he raised his hand and called out aloud.

At the sight of him, the previously surrounded Wei Xueyuan’s expression brightened visibly. Smiling, he stepped through the crowd to greet him, “Xuexuan, you’re back!”

Wei Xuexuan, just a few days older than Wei Xuelian, was the one among the younger generation whom Wei Xueyuan regarded with the most admiration!

The reasons for this weren’t too complicated.

From childhood to adulthood, Wei Xuexuan had always been Wei Xueyuan’s steadfast follower.

Of course, that was only part of the story.

Wei Xuexuan was the son of Uncle, and though Uncle wasn’t the family head, he controlled a significant portion of the family’s business dealings and had substantial influence!

Most importantly, Uncle had always opposed heavily grooming Wei Xuelian for the position of future family head!

Thus, Wei Xueyuan held this younger cousin of his in great esteem.

Wei Xueyuan pushed through the throng and smiled as he stood beside Wei Xuexuan, sizing him up before complinting, “You’re looking better than ever! I hear you’ve been managing businesses in Europe since graduating, and doing quite well at that? Excellent—our family’s future will be even stronger with you in the picture!”

This complint from Wei Xueyuan carried imnse weight.

After all, Wei Xuexuan had only graduated last year, earning dual doctorates in economics and managent from a top-tier university—an achievent few could rival!

Receiving such praise, Wei Xuexuan bead with pride and eagerly linked arms with Wei Xueyuan. “Brother, co inside. Let tell you all about what I’ve been up to!”

With that, Wei Xueyuan, Wei Xuexuan, the other Wei Family juniors, and the gathered guests all began moving en masse toward the grand hall.

Halfway there, Wei Xueyuan casually glanced back and remarked, “I think I just saw Xuelian’s car.”

“No need to wait for her. We’ll see her soon enough anyway,” Wei Xuexuan replied dismissively, completely indifferent to Wei Xuelian’s arrival.

This attitude of his hadn’t changed a bit over the years!

Wei Xueyuan’s smile took on a cryptic edge.

Wei Xuexuan, too, was far from convinced of Wei Xuelian’s qualifications!

To put things in perspective, Wei Xuexuan was arguably the most highly educated mber of the Wei Family, yet only soone like Wei Xueyuan could keep him in check.

Truth be told, the Wei Family mbers of the “Xue” generation included many capable individuals, though the truly exceptional ones tended to keep a low profile. They had already arrived quietly and chosen not to make an appearance in such public settings. With them out of sight, the spotlight naturally fell on Wei Xueyuan and Wei Xuexuan.

“When Xuelian enters later, no matter how much she’s been grood as the future family head, she’ll still have to co and greet in front of everyone!”

At this thought, Wei Xueyuan tightened his hold on Wei Xuexuan’s arm and ca to a stop in the middle of the hall.

As for the other guests, Wei Xueyuan dismissed them with a wave, allowing them to relax and make themselves comfortable. After all, this grand hall was designed precisely for their leisure.

William also made a tactful exit, leaving the two brothers space for their conversation.

They were now standing in a spacious hall with a soaring ceiling over ten ters high, creating an imposing visual effect.

Though the decor wasn’t ostentatiously lavish, it exuded an understated elegance and refinent that surpassed re opulence.

Seating areas, a fully stocked bar, and other anities lined the surroundings, while the Wei Family’s in-house musical ensemble filled the space with soft, lodious tunes.

The ambiance was utterly indulgent.

Strikingly attractive servants and attendants wove through the crowd, offering an array of wines crafted at the Wei Family’s private estates.

These wines, regardless of vintage or quality, far surpassed the so-called fine labels found on the market.

Wei Xueyuan accepted a glass of champagne from a waiter’s tray, smiling placidly as he listened to his cousin Wei Xuexuan boast about his achievents over the past year. He nodded slightly, his face marked with approval.

Yet despite his calm deanor, Wei Xueyuan’s thoughts remained fixated on the entrance.

He was waiting for Wei Xuelian to arrive, waiting for her to co and pay her respects to him in front of everyone.
