Chapter 1542: Chapter 1319: Wouldn’t It Be Such a Coincidence!_3

At one ti, Zhongjing’s greatest business legend Mou Yutian was, in today’s Bai Xiaosheng’s eyes, really not worth ntioning.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled and, boosted by the slight influence of alcohol, did not feign modesty, “I won’t hide from you; in the past two years, if you talk about achievents, there have been quite a few.”

On the surface, Bai Xiaosheng’s words seed lacking modesty, yet Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying knew that this “quite a few,” these three words, if heard by those at the Greater China Region Headquarters, would certainly cause them to faint.

In the past two years, Bai Xiaosheng had truly been a teor streaking across the sky, every step to today’s status accompanied by countless gazes and shocks.

However, Bai Xiaosheng’s glorious achievents were overshadowed by major news in the dia; outsiders were simply unaware.

“Tell quickly, I’m listening!” Ji Mingyang said with keen interest.

Bai Xiaosheng opened his mouth to speak, but then a mobile phone ringtone rang out, causing everyone to look over involuntarily.

Zhang ng took out her phone, glanced at it, and imdiately apologized to everyone.

“I’ll take it outside; you all continue chatting.” Zhang ng smiled at Ji Mingyang and Bai Xiaosheng as she stood up and walked out.

After Zhang ng left, under Ji Mingyang’s urging, Bai Xiaosheng humbly recounted his promotion journey.

Just the title of “New-type Affairs Officer” intrigued Ji Mingyang, prompting Bai Xiaosheng to explain a few words, not to ntion the promotion to Senior Affairs Officer and Greater China Region President.

Bai Xiaosheng tried to downplay his brilliance, but just minutes into his explanation, the door swung open and Zhang ng returned, interrupting before Bai Xiaosheng got to the real important part.

On her return, Zhang ng’s face showed a touch of solemnity, indicating sothing had happened.

Bai Xiaosheng glanced over and was montarily stunned, as he naturally noticed Zhang ng’s undisguised mood.

What’s happened?

Bai Xiaosheng paused his narration.

Ji Mingyang also sensed sothing wrong and turned his head to look.

“Mr. Ji!” Zhang ng seed hesitant in the presence of Bai Xiaosheng.

“What’s the matter?” Ji Mingyang asked gravely.

After so consideration, perhaps feeling Bai Xiaosheng and the others were not outsiders and the matter wasn’t overly confidential, Zhang ng continued, “I just received news; circumstances have changed. Our originally planned investnt promotion conference at the end of the month—the six key companies claim they cannot attend. We had only invited ten; suddenly, more than half can’t make it!”

As Zhang ng spoke, her brow couldn’t help but furrow.

Earlier, when chatting with Mr. Ji and Bai Xiaosheng, this matter ca up, and he furrowed his brow. Previously, several companies had indicated potential issues but had promised to attend as much as possible. They didn’t expect all not to co suddenly!

They even sent the ssage collectively!

This unexpected situation shocked him.

Upon hearing the news, Bai Xiaosheng also showed so surprise on his face.

Zhongjing’s developnt is so good, and the investnt promotion conference was facilitated by the governnt. Those companies should be eager to attend!

With so many not coming, what’s the reason?

“Six major companies, all unable to attend?!” Even Ji Mingyang found it hard to believe, gasping, “If it were one or two, it wouldn’t be an issue. Why so many? This ti, we extended invitations widely; they agreed so well previously, why are they collectively reneging now!”

Zhang ng’s face was slightly bitter, “I’ve got people communicating with them, asking for the reason. This ti, even the lower-ranked invited companies have three unable to attend, leaving us short of ten major companies!”

With the conference about to happen, this is overwhelmingly troubleso.

Ji Mingyang pondered silently, his gaze heavy.

Bai Xiaosheng and the two others couldn’t help but tense up.

“Please don’t worry, I’ll have external staff inquire promptly and will soon know the reason!” Zhang ng paused, then continued, “Actually, there’s another matter.”

What else?

Bai Xiaosheng, Ji Mingyang, and the others looked at Zhang ng.

There was no happiness on Zhang ng’s face, aning whatever it was, it couldn’t be good news.

As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours. Could all these troubles be piling up and just on the day Bai Xiaosheng and the others paid a visit?

Zhang ng had already started speaking, continuing, “Regarding the relocation of key companies, we initially considered negotiating for a suitable unfinished building site with the developers. But just now, news ca saying that unfinished building project had been bought by soone else. The city governnt had originally planned to cooperate with the other party, but now it seems there might be further obstacles. The new buyer seems to value that piece of land highly, reportedly closing the deal within three days for full cash paynt!”

Ji Mingyang listened in amazent.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying couldn’t help but exchange glances at this point, their eyes full of incredulity.

No way, such coincidence…

After Zhang ng finished speaking, her phone vibrated repeatedly with incoming ssages, not rely one.

Zhang ng hastily checked the ssages; after reading, she looked up at Ji Mingyang shocked, “Previously unnoticed, but many of the companies we invited are either subsidiaries or investors from Zhenbei Group. Just now, responses ca saying those companies are currently undergoing rgers and restructuring, so none can attend.”

As soon as Zhang ng finished speaking, Ji Mingyang was quite stunned as well.

Those companies aren’t just from one province, spanning across Tiannan to sea and north, all undergoing reforms?

Ji Mingyang was shocked, as was Bai Xiaosheng beside him.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were even more astonished, once again exchanging glances.

No way such a coincidence!
