Chapter 1789: Chapter 1421: The “Taobao” Adventure for Two
Bai Xiaosheng and the rest hung out with Dong Tianxiu and Chen Feiyu, drinking and playing cards until midnight. Being young and like-minded, they naturally hit it off.
Finally, everyone grew too tired, and so they called it a night, each returning to their rooms to rest.
No words were exchanged throughout the night.
The next day, Bai Xiaosheng was woken up by the sound of knocking. After getting up, he noticed Lei Ying was no longer in the room, which didn’t co as a surprise to him.
Lei Ying had a habit of waking up early to exercise, which Bai Xiaosheng was aware of. Regardless of the season, rain, or snow, or even the ti of sunrise, Lei Ying would adjust his schedule and head out to exercise at dawn, without ever taking a break.
Actually, Bai Xiaosheng was a diligent person too. If it hadn’t been for a bit of drinking the night before, he wouldn’t have woken up this late.
Of course, there was also a bit of jet lag affecting him, though not much.
When Bai Xiaosheng and the others returned from Europe, they booked their tickets accounting for local ti here.
On the flight back, they slept whenever tired, treating it as adjusting to the ti difference. Plus, being young, their bodies could handle it. Upon arrival in their ho country, they ate and slept according to local ti without feeling discomfort.
After all, during their busy visits to Europe, they would switch day and night, sleep when tired, work when energized, as they had done before.
At this mont, Bai Xiaosheng got up to open the door.
As soon as the door opened, he saw Dong Tianxiu standing there grinning, with a plastic bag in one hand and a deep-fried dough stick in the other, biting into it with relish.
“Hungry? I brought you breakfast,” Dong Tianxiu waved the bag in his hand while chewing, “There’s a breakfast stall right across the hotel, fresh fried dough sticks and hot soybean pudding, slls amazing!”
“Co in!” Bai Xiaosheng smiled.
Bai Xiaosheng slled the aroma too and instantly felt hungry. He reached out for the bag from Dong Tianxiu, let him in, and glanced into the bag with curiosity, “You only got two portions? Just for you and ? There’s another person in my room. The two ladies next door haven’t eaten either.”
Bai Xiaosheng did not hold back with Dong Tianxiu, speaking as if to an old friend.
Even though they had only interacted for a day, which might seem short to others for knowing soone, it was enough for Bai Xiaosheng by his perception and feeling.
Bai Xiaosheng truly felt that Dong Tianxiu was soone worth befriending.
Though Dong Tianxiu could be quite annoying and unreliable at tis, he would be the first to stand up and never flee when anyone around needed help, regardless of whether they were acquaintances.
Such a rare quality!
Additionally, during card gas yesterday while listening to economic news, Dong Tianxiu’s views and judgnts were surprisingly accurate, sotis rivaling those of seasoned entrepreneurs. This might be due to his innate talent or sothing learned, but ability is ability, worthy of admiration.
With such reliable character and aptitude, it would be a pity not to consider him a friend.
Upon hearing Bai Xiaosheng speak to him so casually, Dong Tianxiu felt at ease and chuckled, “I t Lei Ying outside the door. I told him I brought breakfast for you, which assured him enough to go on with his workout. And the two ladies aren’t as you think, they went out early.”
Bai Xiaosheng placed the breakfast on the table and went to freshen up, surprised by Dong Tianxiu’s revelation, he poked his head out from the bathroom, “They went out early?”
Although the flight was at 2 PM and there was plenty of ti, going out so early, were they shopping?
“Yesterday, Chen Feiyu and I heard from the hotel staff that there’s a large shopping mall nearby, showcasing brand new clothing and bags in the morning event, which intrigued her. I think she took Lin Weiwei to check it out,” Dong Tianxiu shook his head, “Ah, won, regardless of education levels or personality differences, ‘bag’ cures all, ‘clothing’ love at first sight, are eternal truths in their life!”
Bai Xiaosheng paused in silence within the bathroom, his voice eventually ca out eerily.
“Tianxiu, how were the apples yesterday…”

Bai Xiaosheng shared his breakfast with Dong Tianxiu, and under Dong Tianxiu’s enthusiastic urging, Bai Xiaosheng ended up accompanying him outside.
Although it seed odd for two grown n to go shopping, Dong Tianxiu ntioned that Chen Feiyu had instructed him not to wander off, to avoid any incidents.
“Chen Feiyu said that there might be accomplices of yesterday’s group nearby, she told to keep a low profile,” Dong Tianxiu complained, “Listen to that, treating like a fool. Yesterday’s news said seven were nabbed. I think she’s just avoiding her post and worrying that I might cause trouble, fearing responsibility, she’s just scaring !”
“Since you understand that well, why drag along? Why not go out by yourself,” Bai Xiaosheng chuckled, “I’d rather catch up on so sleep than spending ti like this.”
Dong Tianxiu shook his head vigorously, “No way, if I go out alone and she finds out, I’ll sure get a scolding. Although she was arranged as a bodyguard by my sister, apart from protecting , she’s actually in charge. Although I could complain to my sister to deal with her…but who doesn’t cherish the cherished ones!”
For the first ti, Bai Xiaosheng heard soone describe ‘being chicken’ so elegantly.
“So you’re using as an excuse, like a temporary bodyguard.” Bai Xiaosheng glanced at him.
“Let’s not put it that way, we’re friends, hahaha, I’ll treat you to so street food,” Dong Tianxiu patted Bai Xiaosheng’s arm and laughed awkwardly.
