lanie shook her head imdiately, "That shouldn’t be the case. If it were true, would you still have the mind to drink coffee here? Even call over?"
lanie only knew Caroline had arranged for her best friend to carry out an extrely important task, and once successful, there would surely be a great reward.
As for what the task entailed, lanie didn’t know and dared not ask, because even if she did, Ye Liena wouldn’t say.
However, from what Ye Liena implied, this task might give her the opportunity to redeem herself, perhaps even turn misfortune into blessing, possibly advancing further in her career.
lanie was naturally pleased.
