The fifth day after the Bai Xiaosheng incident, at three in the afternoon, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying returned, weary and rushed into Wen Yan’s office.
Each of them was responsible for their own share of the work, involving several enterprises across different cities and even different states. They had barely slept for two days and nights, running around frantically and driving Wen Yan’s people just as hard. Originally, the people under Wen Yan were workaholics too, but over the past two days, about a dozen of them had complained to Ruan Yu and Huang.
After Wen Yan found out, he instructed his subordinates to report on Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying’s actions and thods, one by one.
This morning, Wen Yan received the report and spent the entire morning reviewing it.
Ruan Yu heard Wen Yan exclaim sincerely, "These two people, I’d be willing to trade twenty of my best and brightest for them!"
An evaluation that high, even for his own subordinates, had never been seen before.
Afterward, Wen Yan handed the report to her and Huang, insisting they should diligently read, ponder, and learn from it.
Now, with Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying’s return, bringing things that were originally supposed to take another three to five days, Ruan Yu was truly astonished.
For Bai Xiaosheng, those two indeed risked their lives.

The comrcial alliance that Bai Xiaosheng had painstakingly ford was once again on shaky ground.
Imdiate action was necessary; otherwise, it would indeed be too late.
In Lin Weiwei’s view, the only way to end all this now was for Caroline to back off.
Lei Ying, his eyes bloodshot, also stared at Wen Yan, expecting him to act imdiately.
At this mont, Wen Yan examined the items they brought, nodding approvingly.
"Mr. Wen Yan, say sothing! If you delay, it really will be too late!" Lin Weiwei urged impatiently.
Wen Yan finally looked up, smiling at Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, "Who said I would use these things to threaten Caroline into sparing Bai Xiaosheng?"
This stunned Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

So what were their frantic efforts, their 48 hours of sleepless work for?
"Mr. Wen Yan, what do you an by this!" Lin Weiwei’s voice rose sharply with excitent, "If not for saving Mr. Bai, then what was the point of us doing all this!"
Lei Ying also glared at Wen Yan, his jaw tensed and fists clenched.
"Don’t shout at Mr. Wen Yan!" Ruan Yu also scolded.
Wen Yan gestured for Ruan Yu to stop, smiling at the two, "Do not lose faith in . Think, even if I used this evidence to threaten Caroline, wouldn’t that just guide her to destroy the evidence? Even if she agreed, she could co up with excuses to delay a few more days, and your Mr. Bai would be finished."
The color drained from Lin Weiwei’s face at this revelation.
Lei Ying’s eyes briefly froze as well.

But they never expected such a result.
Lin Weiwei staggered back two steps, her face pale, muttering, "How could it co to this... How could it be! So now, what way is there? Is there anyone... who can save my Xiaosheng!"
Despair showed in Lin Weiwei’s eyes.
Beside her, Ruan Yu suddenly felt a bit of sympathy for her.
"There is." Wen Yan smiled gently, "There is soone who can save Bai Xiaosheng."
This surprised Lin Weiwei, Lei Ying, and even Ruan Yu, who all looked at Wen Yan in astonishnt.
"Who is it?!" Lin Weiwei asked urgently, a glimr of hope igniting in her eyes.
Lei Ying also breathed a little faster, watching Wen Yan.
"It’s Bai Xiaosheng himself," Wen Yan laughed. "Give Bai Xiaosheng a call, tell him my preparations here are almost complete! Now, it’s his turn to stir things up!"
His words were truly astonishing.
However, it was clear to everyone that Wen Yan wasn’t joking; he was serious.
With slightly trembling hands, Lin Weiwei dialed Bai Xiaosheng. Previously, she had restrained herself from contacting him, afraid of not knowing what to say, afraid of not being able to help, afraid of a bad outco.
Now, she had to make this call herself.
Wen Yan, Ruan Yu, and Lei Ying all understood how she felt at that mont and agreed she should be the one to make the call.
When the call connected, and she heard Bai Xiaosheng’s voice, Lin Weiwei almost felt a bit dizzy.
"It’s , Weiwei," Lin Weiwei forcefully controlled her emotions. "We’re with Mr. Wen Yan. Yes, we’re back. Mr. Wen Yan says his preparations are complete!"
After speaking, Lin Weiwei nervously awaited Bai Xiaosheng’s response.
A second felt as long as a century.
"Thank you for your hard work, Weiwei," Bai Xiaosheng responded, his voice carrying a hint of laughter. "Pass on my thanks to Lei Ying and Wen Yan for ."
