Miss Lisa suggested a plan to Milo; the idea was for him to play the hero rescuing the damsel in distress, a cliche trick, to capture Lin Weiwei’s heart.
"Will this, will this work?" Milo was a bit surprised upon hearing this, and couldn’t help but look at Lisa and ask.
"Heroic rescue," he had used it before, but that was many years ago and used to deceive naive young girls. Nowadays, at this age, won are pursued with money and romance. Would that tactic still work against an experienced professional beauty?
Lisa seed to notice Milo’s concern and smiled gently before saying, "Mr. Milo, don’t worry. No matter the age, every woman has the heart of a little girl; it’s just not shown on the surface. Lisa smiled but didn’t rush to answer. Instead, she swirled the wine in her glass, observing the amber liquid, allowing Milo to beco more anxious before leisurely stating, "Mr. Milo, do you read novels?"
Novels?
Milo looked at Lisa, bewildered, unsure of what she ant by her digression.
