I tried not to laugh at Rosia's adorable reaction and to ease her worries, I ca clean about eting her son in the middle of the trading area in his "little girl (Lily) form". I also admitted about going to different important places in the territory before eventually eting the diaguised Nastur. The couple looked stunned and embarrassed about their sons antics which proves my theory that LILY did those unnecessary things and as he pleases, with or without his parents' permission.
After a few minutes, I already felt the presence of LILY approaching the area I am in. I gave a quick heads up to the royal couple that I will go and hide from their son who will be arriving in a bit. I said I want to hear what he has to say about .
As expected, after a few minutes, Nastur ca in and greeted his parents respectfully as if he was sobody who can do no wrong. He then proceeded in introducing the nothingness behind him as as diligently as he can. His parents was surprised at first but I saw their anger bubbling little by little but they chose not to say anything and waited for him to finish his lengthy introduction.
After his lengthy monologue, he paused abit and when he did not hear sprak even after more than a minute, he finally looked at the area behind him. That was when he realized that nobody was standing behind him. He looked back at his parents with widened eyes as if asking them what happened and if they saw .
His mother shook her head, rolled her eyes at her stupid son, turned around briskly and walked back inside their house in a matter of a few seconds. It clearly show how irritated age was at that mont.
Peony clicked his tongue and ordered his son to go inside the house and prepare so refreshnts with the help of the servants instead. After Nastur has gone in with a confused face, I went out of my hiding place and approached King Peony again who is now apologizing for his son's behavior. He invited in to talk while having afternoon refreshnts.
I nodded my head as my response to his invitation and told him that I did not take any offense on whatever his son did. I walked in through the door following Peony to a beautiful living room lit by natural light coming out from floor to ceiling windows.
The inside of the house looked at least thrice as big as what it looked like on the outside. It gave the sa feeling as Laerad's little hut in the New World Tree realm. I looked around and smiled at how beautiful the house was built and decorated.
I sat comfortably on one of the soft chairs and Peony sat on the seat right across from where I was. He looked nervous compared to how relaxed I was. He couldn't help but ask, "You said you were sent by Eieneos, correct?" I nodded once and responded with a "Hmm."
He visibly looked paler compared to when he greeted at the door. He carefully asked, "May I know the reason for your sudden visit, Ms. Luna?" I kept my eyes looking around his house but still replied, "There is sothing that you have been keeping with you all this ti. The owner wants it back so he sent here."
His face that looked pale a while ago is now filled with fear. He nervously bowed to and respectfully asked to be excused. As he was about to leave, he said, "I will be calling all the representatives of the managing families to discuss this. I do not have the authority to hand over the item even if it is in my possession. Kindly excuse as I arrange this urgent eting. My son will be back soon with the servants to bring the refreshnts. He will keep you company while I am away."
Peony hurriedly left the living room. He actually ran towards the stairs then went up to his own quarters. I heard him shouting and calling for Rosia. He said sothing else but it seems that he entered an area with a sound barrier since I was not able to hear the rest of what he was saying.
After a few minutes, the servants ca with so tea and sweet bread. I saw Nastur standing and leaning by one of the beams near the base of the stairs, watching my every move. I slled the tea and the bread just to be sure that they were not poisoned without considering the feelings of the person who prepared them and was watching as of the mont.
Once I have confird that it wasn't poisoned, I drank a small sip of the tea and made a tiny bite on one of the sweet breads. After having a little taste of both, I placed the teacup and the piece of bread back down then did not eat or drink more than that. I saw Nastur's eyes show irritation in my peripheral vision then he walked towards and slumped on one of the seats near loudly.
I conjured one of my notebooks and a quill pen and started taking notes of the ingredients I tasted from the tea and the sweet bread. I also started taking notes of my observations of things and places I saw in Zanahavre for my personal use.
The disrespectful guy peeked into what I was doing and he looked shocked as the letters I have written disappeared imdiately after I wrote them. He could not read anything I have written at all so he eventually stopped peeking at what I was doing.
He sat back down clumsily on his seat and continued staring at rudely. After a few minutes, a few n who looked the sa age as Nastur ca in, one after the other and hurried upstairs in the sa direction that Peony went.
I gave them each a look for a few seconds which was returned by them looking at then my dress with a stunned expression. As for , I ignored them after looking at them briefly then simply continued writing on my notebook. When a total of four n have passed by, Nastur stood up and hurried up the stairs as well without saying anything to . It was rude to leave a guest by themselves but I couldn't care less since I think I just brought them a huge problem.
Since I am alone, I ended up thinking of writing letters for my husbands. I first started writing a letter for Ioannis to check on him and the twins. I then wrote letters for Kayden, Dimitri and Lark. After finishing all letters and reviewing a few of my business docunts, as if on cue, Peony ca down in a hurry and then led to another place where he said they do all their important etings.
I followed Peony and along the way, Rosia joined us towards the eting hall. When I arrived, there were already several people inside. Peony sat at the head of the table. Rosia sat to his right while Nastur stood right behind his mother. A few other females sat down and then the four young n I saw hurrying inside Peony's house a while ago also stood behind the seated won.
Based on my quick observation, these won should be the mothers of these young n since they look similar but what I don't understand is why they are in this eting hall. I have a gut feeling but it is better to know about it from the people involved themselves. I sat at the seat right across Peony, crossed my legs and waited for him to speak and introduce the others.
Peony introduced them as the current heirs to the governing households in Zanahavre and at the sa ti, his wives. Those behind them are his children with each of the won present. I didn't pay attention to their nas and what they do since my focus was on how weird the family dynamics are in this place. It's the typical harem but since it is the male that gives birth, I can only say that Peony is amazing. He gave birth to 5 children and have to handle these 5 strong-looking won too.
As for , I spent my ti looking around the room and admiring the multitude of hair colors available in this place. I think children inherit the color of their mother's hair and then gets a few streaks of color from their father. If you look at these five n, they look quite similar in age. Oh, must be the flower field thing that resulted in them being born right after the other, I suppose. I think I need to study more on how each race gives birth to their children so I won't be surprised like this again.
After his introduction, I just smiled and nodded my head at each of the won inside the eting hall. I did not pay attention to their children since none of the four greeted at the start while the last one pretended to be soone else. After half an hour more of nonsense talks, elderly n and won started arriving at the hall and started lining behind each of the seated won.
Once everybody that was supposed to be here is present, Peony started talking, "Ms. Luna here is an envoy from Eieneos. She ca to take sothing that we were keeping that belongs to the the guardian of the old world tree realm."
One of the elders imdiately beca defensive and shouted, "What makes you think that just because you asked for it, we will give it to you? We have been safekeeping it for almost half a millenia. It keeps the amount of mana here in the sanctuary enough for us to live. Do you want to kill us all?!"
