At the table, there was a prolonged awkward silence. The leaders were quite energetic with introducing the mbers of their families at first and I did my part by nodding and greeting each one of them politely. Afterwards, I proceeded to eating since that was what we were supposed to do, isn’t it?

It looked like the people around the table would want to talk more but since I started to eat, they had no choice but to eat as well. They looked stressed for so reason. I think they are now hoping that I won’t leave imdiately after I am done with my al.

Well, I thought that we will just quietly have a al. Everything was quite peaceful until the eldest son of the Erdene household suddenly spoke to introduce himself. You can say that one brave soul starts everything else.

While I was quietly sipping on my warm soup, I heard soone cough to get attention and then spoke while directly addressing , "Greetings, Lady Envoy. My na is Stefan and I am the eldest son of the Erdene household. I am already 19. It is a pleasure to finally et you." He had a proud smirk on his face as if it was my honor that he even made an effort to talk to .

I lifted my gaze from the soup towards the person that spoke and simply nodded my head once then resud with having my soup. The mont was definitely awkward simply because the normal reaction would be to ask more questions about the person that just introduced their self or perhaps formally introducing one’s self in return but since it’s they are dealing with, none of that happened.

Though I clearly have shown that I am uninterested in this little matchmaking event they were trying to do here, the other sons of the three families introduced themselves the sa way the first one did. I gave the sa reaction to all of them since I want to be fair, of course.

As for the daughters, they also introduced themselves since all the sons are done. Honestly, I did not bother rembering their nas since most of them gave an attitude during that short exchange. It is to be expected given how won are valued too much in families in this world. I did not mind if they do not want to introduce themselves properly much less talk to afterwards since we aren’t even acquaintances anyways.

The peace was broken once more when a particular bitchy daughter gave a snide remark. It was very low, much more like a murmur but the problem was my hearing was ultra sensitive. I clearly heard her say, "You show no interest with my brother but you go around fucking dirty slaves you buy from so street."

The one that spoke was the eldest and only daughter of the Erdene household. I am not assuming that their nasty personality must really be hereditary. I can only pray for the future of the Erdene region and the rest of Kolyer if these children are the ones that will manage it in the future.

I lifted my head and addressed her directly, "Eldest lady of the Erdene household, who I spend my money on, who I like or hate and especially who I fuck is none of your business. If you feel envious about having soone to sleep with at night, go buy a man to fuck as well. Oh, not that your money can cover up your stinky personality. It is good you have money since you will need it to convince people to like you. My eyes were cold and my face emotionless during the whole ti I was speaking. I stopped looking at the irritating bitch as I smiled sweetly at her parents and everyone else on the table. I continued eating as if nothing happened while the woman I just fought turned red in embarrassnt then walked out of the room. As if I give a damn about her little tantrum...

The al continued quietly except with the occasional discussions between , the three leaders while the rest of their families that chose to stay through all the awkwardness just ate their als. The leaders and I started talking randomly about the current construction projects happening in their areas.

They gave more recent updates and also asked for any suggestions or solutions for issues they have discovered recently. I patiently answered their questions one by one. I also smiled to whoever smiled at , though they were all quite timidly doing it. I did not bother trying to have better relationships with the rest of these people since I do not think we will have any further interactions in the future once I leave Kolyer.

After the al, I imdiately stood up and excused myself from the room. I haven’t even stepped out when the leader of Oriol had already started blaming the leader of Erdene for not controlling his obnoxious children and ruining the other children’s chances chances to talk with the royal envoy a bit more. Eventually, the comnts beca more personal, calling each other’s children ugly, useless, unattractive and stupid. The mothers eventually joined the fray.

As for the Ferreira household, the leader simply signaled his family mbers to follow out of the room and not join the commotion. The two fighting parties did not even notice as the Ferreira caught up to and walked out of the eting venue. I thanked them for the delicious al and I gave my well wishes on the completion of the construction projects in his region as soon as possible.

As I turned around, I simply said in passing that so of my businesses are now accepting custors in the open area and that I will greatly appreciate it if they at least visit and look around. They all readily agreed and they looked happy that I personally invited them to my area. I told them that I will also introduce them to my new husband who will be managing the place when they drop by.
