Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?! Chapter 449 - Moving Out

After hearing my offer, about 7 more families with about 6 to 10 mbers, despite the glares that the self-proclaid leader and his people were sending to them, hurriedly packed up their belongings and make shift tents. The most noticeable thing about these families were how similar in dynamic they were with Finn and Ryan’s family. The matriarch is old or there was none at all. The rest of the mbers were mostly n and young children. There was no younger matriarch to keep the household together.

After seeing , Finn and Ryan go over the other settlent, the boys, Tim and Cid followed and started helping the other families on carrying their belongings towards our settlent. It seems that these families have a good relationship with Tim and Cid’s. I conjured three dium-sized carts with weight reduction spells on them(similar to those that malls use to deliver furniture) to make the move easier. I had these custom-made at the sa place I got my wagon from.

As for the self-proclaid lady leader, I kept my eyes on her. If she dares to hurt anybody that wishes to leave or make ny threatening move, I am really going to smack her and everybody with her to death. I still invited the others to bring their bowls for a al and have their health check-ups even if they don’t want to move out.

The others who opted not to move out hurriedly went back to their hos and started looking for cups, bowls, jars, pots or whatever they can use to carry the porridge and the vegetables instead. The children ca running out first and started falling in line to save a spot for their other family mbers.

I secretly gave instructions to Finn and Ryan to ensure that the line stays organized and nobody tries to get food again unless everybody has been fed once. Tim volunteered and said that he had a good mory so nobody will cheat under his watch. I chuckled at his confidence and agreed to give him this task.

I don’t know if it was pride or if they are trying to convince whoever it was, showing the face of a magnanimous leader but nobody from that woman’s family lined up for the al or even the check-up even after a few hours have passed. They only watched on as the others fed themselves until they were full, receive check-ups and be prescribed dicine.

Once all the ones that wanted to move have left, I went back to my little kitchen and started serving food. The people looked for their own places and did not mind eating while seated on the ground. Everyone had smiles on their faces, finally eating sothing that was warm, filling and healthy not unlike the scraps they get back in the settlent.

While waiting for everybody to finish, I went to my make shift clinic and started arranging my stuff. I also sent a ssage back to the Larkspur territory that I might be sending so refugees from the north since my in-laws need citizens and working people to start the farms and other tasks. It would be good to send them a heads up just in case because most likely, I will be sending more than 7 people with how things are going.

I had to wait for another half an hour before the people started falling in line inside the clinic. Larry, Lisa, Ryan and little Liz volunteered to tidy up the kitchen and dining area. Finn, Tim and Cid decided to follow to the clinic to help out, seeing that there is already a long line of patients.

Almost everyone in the settlent ca in for the check up except of course their self-proclaid leader and her clan. I guess they don’t like . The feeling is mutual, anyways so I don’t really care about their opinions.

To further confirm the bullying in the settlent, none of the refugees that were going back to the settlent accepted the rations I was providing. They said that if it is possible, they will just eat their als in my settlent from now on. They did not say it outright but most likely, they were afraid that the so-called leader will confiscate all of the rations and none of their family mbers will get a taste of any of it.

I looked back at the other settlent and realized that maybe that is where they got their confidence of not falling in line to get food. They were thinking that these people will get rations after getting a check up since I announced it and all those rations will eventually fall into their hands. Too bad for them, the people they have been bullying aren’t that stupid.

After the check-up everybody that chose to stay at the settlent ca back happy and full but they did not carry anything besides their clean and empty bowls. As for the other 7 families that are new settlers in my area, I gave all of them their respective tents. It is not like I used too many materials to create these things. It is just that I don’t want to offend people by giving them too many freebies as if I am giving alms to them.

Good-natured people are usually uncomfortable when you give them too many benefits with nothing in return. They may not have money but they will surely try to repay through other ways like doing chores or other types of labor.

The al I provided was late breakfast and right after all the other families have settled down in their respective tents, we started preparing for lunch this ti. Since we have been having stew and porridge, this ti, I decided to have more variety. I decided to serve stead rice, grilled beef, grilled fish, buttered vegetables (corn, carrots, peas and potatoes) and fresh fruits. Since I have more helpers, I added more stove tops, grills as well as pots so the job can be divided to everyone.

Everyone in my little settlent hurriedly assigned themselves sothing to do. Even the young children joined in, wanting to help and return sothing for the yummy food they received. Though life has been hard for several months, just these few days returned the smiles on their faces.
