As of the mont, Luna is already several hours away from the northern military camp. She has brought out her wagon from her special storage ring together with her two lively horses. She excitedly rubbed the ring that she has worked hard on for countless months.
It was a masterpiece she made after tons of research and experintation. It was a storage ring that can keep live beings and not only that, it has healing and strengthening enchantnt as well which ans beings placed inside can grow strong and heal up. It was an extrely useful item for war or plague stricken areas as it was like a mobile containnt area and a hospital in one.
She has been riding her carriage now for more than an hour and she is about to reach the foot of the mountain where Kolyer was located. She was retracing her steps and going back to the places she passed through on her way to the north.
After reaching the foot of the mountain, she teleported herself and the whole wagon (horses included) to a parking space she assigned to herself in the middle area. It was next to the inn where Damian and his two younger brothers are managing and living in.
The middle area of Kolyer has beca more prosperous and lively compared to the last ti I left his place which was about three weeks ago. The overall vibe felt sowhat happier and lighter. There was a noticeable increase in the number of workers, rchants and visitors from the outside too.
I parked the wagon on the side and tied the horses to their sheds. I fed the two gluttonous animals too as they have start to act grumpy when not fed on ti. I can’t complain though since they might have copied that from accompanying for quite so ti now.
I walked at a leisurely pace towards the inn. As I entered, the lobby looked clean and well-lighted but surprisingly, there was no one at the reception. Damian suddenly popped out from behind the counter with his head down, reading from a page of what seems to be a log book. He shouted towards the back area to most likely his brothers, barking out their tasks for the evening.
I spoke in a soft tone and asked, "Do you still have an empty room for the night? I plan to stay for about two to three days before moving on to my next stop. How much would that cost ?"
I saw Damian’s whole body flinch as he abruptly stopped what he was doing. His head slowly moved as his face looked up towards the direction of my voice. When he saw it was , his face flushed and tears started to fall from his eyes. He jumped over the counter and gave a tight hug. I tapped the guy’s back to comfort him.
He must have thought that it will take a much longer ti before he gets to et again. He looked like he drowned himself in work as he managed every single business in the middle area so he wouldn’t think about my absence too much. He sniffed and shouted, "You two brats, your sister-in-law is here!"
Two pairs of hurried footsteps ca from behind the counter as two little round dots zood out. Before I could greet them, I felt two pairs of arms hug my waist from each side. The whole reunion suddenly beca a group hug session as I felt my clothes at the shoulder and waist areas get wet with the trio’s tears.
Damian murmured, "Did you just say you need a room to stay for the next two to three days? You’re staying in our room! I designed it for our use. The bed’s big and you have a place to put your stuff in-"
His sentence was cut when I stole a kiss from his lips that he returned almost instantly. I had to cut the kiss after a few seconds with a playful nibble since we have two pairs of curious eyes watching us. I then whispered to Damian, "Is that an indirect invitation for to sleep with you?"
I smiled at the guy whose face started to flush red. I then heard the two, Darren and Daryl giggling. They started teasing their brother too.
Daryl sighed and addressed Darren, "Brother, I think we will have more work to do for the next couple of days because soone will most likely be too tired and will end up sleeping for a longer ti in the morning."
Darren sighed, "Well, that’s just how it is when you have a love sick brother. I do want to have a niece or nephew anyway so sacrifices have to be made. Babies just don’t pop out without that kind of work."
I laughed loudly at the two brothers acting out their little play as if their own older brother could not hear everything. Damian could not even muster a retort as he simpy covered his face in embarassnt. I chuckled again at the fact that he is still so easy to fluster with just a few words. He is still so adorably shy.
First things first though, I went to the cellar of the inn and deposited tons of cooking ingredients and food for our little diner in the inn. Well, it is also the food allowance for the trio who looked like they gained a little more at in their bones during the weeks that I was away.
While completing the transfer of the items from my storage to the cellar, Damian suddenly asked, "I thought that you would stay in the northern military camp for about three weeks or so. It has only been about two weeks, right? Did you encounter any problems?"
I chuckled dryly and answered in a nonchalant tone, "I finished the volunteer work hours required by the acade early since there was just so much work to do there per day. I end up working more hours per day than it was required. As for problems, yeah, sure, you could say that." Damian looked at with a tilted head and furrowed brows.
I sighed and eventually added, "You can definitely call it a problem when a general of the army is chasing you for a betrothal. The said general even called for his parents as back up and told them to visit the camp to obviously et and talk to . I escaped the whole thing and the first thing I thought of is going here but no worries, I left a note that my mission in the camp had been accomplished."
