It hasn’t even been two hours yet since the party started and my koala of a husband is already dangling on my body and wouldn’t let go. I excused myself to get him to bed first, promising that I will be back for the rest of the festivities.
The pope has been signaling with his eyes since the start of the party that he wants to tell sothing. I don’t know if it is a good or a bad thing that Clarence got drunk since I do not exactly know what the pope has to say. I sure know though that Clarence does not like other people taking my attention away whenever he is with .
I quickly made way to my quarters and kissed the guy on his forehead to make him sleep. I placed a barrier around my room just to be sure he is safe. I do not want anybody sneaking inside and taking advantage of my very drunk new husband, not that I am saying that there is soone like that in this place.
I quickly exited the room and went back to the wedding hall. Upon seeing enter the main door, the pope quickly guided back outside and asked to follow him. By the path we are taking, I am sure that we are going to the back of the temple where Darth lives and where the pharmacy hut is located. Did sothing happen to Darth after I placed him under their care?
and the pope walked in silence for several minutes. He walked slower since he is a little bit advanced in age so I simply matched his pace.
He finally talked a few minutes before we reach Darth’s hut. He said that there was a mysterious symbol that appeared on Darth’s body after his fever spiked up again. It happened about half an hour after I left his hut to go back to my quarters to rest.
I furrowed my brows and asked if they do not have dicine for fevers. The pope said that they do and they gave him so but the fever isn’t breaking even if he has taken the dicine a couple of tis already so they had to ask for help even though it was supposed to be my honeymoon.
As we reached the hut, I can hear people speaking over each other as if brainstorming on what to do next. It must be the pharmacy hut guys squeezing their brains for a solution.
I did not even knock on the door and just went straight inside. Upon seeing , the three guys hurriedly stood up and approached . They all spoke at the sa ti, panic obvious in their voice since they have ran out of ideas in helping Darth out.
I simply looked towards Darth’s direction. He is still unconscious but this ti his face is red due to the high grade fever. He is breathing heavily even in his sleep and his body seed to be shivering a bit too. Looking at him, I imdiately knew that if he is left to stay in that state, he may have worse complications being a normal human and all.
I approached the bed and placed the back of my hand on his forehead. A soft whine ca from Darth’s mouth as my hand is most likely cool against his fiery skin. I closed my eyes and checked if his soul is wandering in that dark place again. I only made a quick look and confird that it wasn’t.
I placed my hand on top of his chest and started channeling so of my mana on to his body to regulate his body temperature. At the sa ti, I asked the three pharmacy guys the location of the mysterious mark they saw and when they realized its existence.
They started telling that they saw it when they were changing Darth’s clothes after wiping his whole body with cool water to lower his temperature after I left earlier. They said that it was right on top of his womb but it was dim and he did not look like he was in pain so they just let it be.
Without removing the hand on his chest, I effortlessly lifted Darth’s shirt up to his chest then pulled down his trousers just a bit before his privates leak out of his clothes. My moves shocked everyone in the room as they all gasped loudly. I chuckled and said that they must have forgotten that I am a doctor too so it was nothing personal.
Just like they said, on top of his womb was a symbol I am very much familiar with. It was the symbol that appear on n who were taken in as a "vessel" by a mystique. I did not know that one can appear even if you did not beco intimate with the person.
I imdiately traced it with the tip of my index finger and the mont my finger made contact with it, Darth squird. A breathy and seductive groan even echoed from his throat. Forgetting that there were other people inside the room, I continued tracing the lines of the mark, resulting to Darth’s body squirming and making even more lewd sounds.
As I was checking on it, I already sent a telepathic ssage to my mother to share senses with to check on the symbol. I gave a brief explanation as well on everything that happened between and Darth before we got to this point. My mother quickly responded and I felt her connection strengthening as she looked into the symbol through my eyes.
After a few seconds, she clicked her tongue and scolded , "How could you be so careless? You said you went into his subconscious mind and had contact with his soul in the version of him as a child?"
I responded with a simple "Hmm" to confirm. She sighed and responded, "There are two types of symbols for vessels. The first one is just for breed- Umm. You know what I an. The second one is a more intimate and deeper one which is that of soul partners. The second one goes way beyond just having children and being done with it. As for this guy, it must have sothing to do with his ancestors making a vow about every mber of their bloodline being loyal servants of our family for eternity, to be precise, anyone from your great grand aunt’s bloodline. I don’t know how your aunt scamd them into doing this one-sided vow though."
