Unbeknownst to Theo, his tutoring started the very next day. The tutor was not a very special person, just a small noble family's second child tasked with giving Theo all the knowledge.

More than half of the stuff was already known by Theo, and only after that was he able to gather so new information.

"This is a small booklet of affinities that I am giving you. I want you to morize all of these as these are the most basic concepts you need to understand," the man said. He had curly blonde hair and wore very scholarly clothes.

Theo nodded. He already had better books to help him with affinities, but he still found this one easier to carry than the others in the Royal Academy.

The man opened the book and started explaining.

"The most basic affinities are related to the elents. There are six main ones identified so far," he pointed out, starting to count on his fingers as he explained to Theo. "Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, and Darkness. We only ca to know of them after the benevolent artifact gave us the ability to see them," the man explained with a polite smile.

"And within these main elental affinities, there are many sub-elents present, but we only need to learn about the most common ones," he stated and paused for a mont before continuing.

"In the main elent Fire, the sub-elents are Lava, Ash, and Explosion. These are the most common elents you will encounter. Beyond them, everything falls into the rare category, which we will not delve into at our current level." He stopped, and Theo nodded for him to continue. He knew these things already.

"In Water, there is Ice, Mist, and Tidal. In Earth, we have tal, Crystal, and Sand. In Air, we find Lightning, Storm, and Sound. For Light, there are Solar, Illusion, and Holy. And for the last one, Darkness, there are Void, Nightmare, and Corruption," the man stated slowly.

Theo was already annoyed, but the tutor continued. "The Darkness elent is the only one that is frowned upon, and when soone gains any affinity related to it, they are kept under strict observation for most of their lives," he noted, which finally piqued Theo's interest.

"How so? Is there sothing bad about it?" Theo asked.

"Well, the Darkness elent isn't inherently bad, but its use can easily be twisted. Due to your age, I can't expand on the topic, although I can tell you about Void affinity," the man explained, and Theo listened intently. The man was surprised, as this was the first ti Theo showed so interest in the lesson.

"The Void affinity, at a certain level of prowess, can even nullify any energy attack, no matter how strong the attack is. Void affinity tars are prominent fighters against the Outer Devils, yet they are kept under strict restrictions when it cos to our own people."

"So they can't overpower others, right?" Theo interjected, and the man nodded.

"Moving on, there is the Nature elent, which has Poison, Floral, and Beastial sub-elents. Then there's Spirit, which has Soul and Phantom. And for this lesson, lastly, we have Arcane, which has Runic and Chaos elents under it."

"Keep this in mind: there have been no known beasts that possess the specific Arcane affinity. As a result, people with this affinity often beco scholars in affinity research and other academic fields."

The man stated another fact that Theo didn't know, and he smiled and nodded with appreciation.

"There are countless other affinities, but due to their rarity, they are taught only if you choose to pursue knowledge about them. Additionally, you can only learn about them in the academy. The young master's affinity is even beyond rare or legendary—it is unique," the man said with sparkling eyes.

Theo sipped his tea and chuckled. "Yes, I have a lot of work to do."

The man nodded profusely. "I have seen many people despair after gaining a unique affinity, but you're among the few who have such a positive approach toward it. I respect that, young master," the man said with a proud gaze, and Theo nodded without additional comnt.

Theo could tell that the tutor had a talk with his mother, he already knew most about him and his affinity.

"Now, the last thing about affinities is that they aren't only elental affinities; there are others as well in our history. I'll only talk about two that are more commonly seen," he pointed out and opened one of the last pages.

"There is Physical affinity, which has Martial and Fortification under it. And Psychic, which has only one common sub-elent: Telekinesis," the man explained and continued. "Physical affinities revolve around strength, endurance, and direct physical prowess, while Psychic revolves around ntal prowess."

Theo listened intently. This was information Clara hadn't told him—or, more accurately, things Theo hadn't asked her because he had no idea they existed.

'It was good to take this tuition.'

"Now onto the other basics, young master." The man took Theo's attention again. "You can only ta one beast at level 0, and it all depends on whether the beast wants to be tad by you or not. Beasts have personalities of their own, just like every living being."

"The common thods are to feed them regularly and then start the contracting process. The beast will recognize that you'll provide for it consistently and may accept the taming process."

"Other thods can be more brutal—beating the beast until it's at its last breath and forcing the contract at its weakest. The success rate is high for both thods," he stated.

Theo frowned. "Why would soone choose a brutal thod to ta a beast? Doesn't that make the bond unstable?" he asked.

The tutor paused, then nodded. "It does. That's why it's considered a last resort by most tars."

Theo didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Those were both unique yet common ways to ta beasts.

"It also depends on the quality and grade of the beast. The higher the grade, the tougher it is to ta them. For example, you can't go taming the Green Wyvern when you are far weaker than it. It will never accept the contract, even after being beaten to death."
