The mont his blade slashed at the worm’s body was the mont it started a ripple that went long for a few feet.
Theo could see his blade could still not tear the skin even with so much force by himself and the gravity.
His teeth gritted and he placed as much strength as he had in his arms and hands.
Soon, his body stopped falling for a mont. Everyone could tell Theo was applying so much force that his body could be kept in the sa upward position easily.
Blood started to pour along the skin where the blade was slashing at and soon enough, Theo had used too much strength, that his wrist felt like it was going to pop out of the socket soon enough.
He knew the limitations of his own body and it made him stop applying so much force.
The mont he did that, Theo could feel the pain creeping inside his wrist. When all that force that he was applying was gone, it felt like he had torn so muscles around the wrist.
He ca down on the ground and kept his sword inside the hilt again with shivering and paining hands before starting to shake them relentlessly.
"Are you okay?" Clara ca closer and tried to take a hold of his hands only for him to move her away with a gentle push.
"Just give a mont," he spoke with a normal face, yet Clara could tell that he was in a lot of pain.
"That’s what you get for pushing yourself so much!" Clara spoke in a cold and loud voice, making Theo feel like he was not in the right mind to listen to all this right now.
"When your beasts can do so much damage without your help, why are you pushing yourself so hard?" She asked again in an angry tone, only for a vein to pop on his head.
"Do you not realize this simple thing? It’s because I am working hard too!" He spoke in a roar too before trying to shake his hands again, only to realize they were doing nothing.
Clara was shocked to see Theo lashing out this much. It was the first ti he had been this harsh on her.
"I I am sorry," she spoke, only for Theo to feel guilty, but he didn’t say anything and closed his eyes to control himself.
’Why is the pain making lash out so much? I have experienced worse than this by now,’ Theo asked himself but did not understand.
While the pain was still a little too unbearable, Theo could feel that pain more in his heart than his wrists.
His eyes instinctively went toward the worm’s body, specifically the spot where he had made that slash.
His eyes flickered for a mont before he decided to calm himself as much as he could.
The slash had not as much damage as he had expected. The sheer amount of strength he had used, Theo had already thought in his mind that the results could be good.
His jump was good too.
’Then why? I know the blade is good enough to slash this thing.’
When he opened his eyes, Theo saw a big burly guy standing right at the worm’s body right now.
Theo could not tell how the baron had been so silent in coming to the camp, or that his focus was so much on the pain that he had stopped scanning around.
The baron moved his face away from the worm and then glanced at Theo before shaking his head in disappointnt.
He moved forward and moved his hand forward only to grab Theo by the wrist that was hurting the most and pulling it up.
"KUGHHH!"
Theo winced in pain when his hand was pulled. It was as if all the pain returned again, yet he could do nothing to get his hand back. The baron’s grip was not tight, but he still could not get out.
"Is this what I have been teaching you, boy?" The baron asked in a pissed off tone.
Clara wanted to chi in, yet this ti, Elias kept a hand on her mouth even before she could say anything she and Theo may regret later.
"I could tell you were going to use the blade’s edge to tear through that skin, but why did you change your plan midway? What made you change it, boy?" The baron asked with his voice deep and a big emphasis on the word boy.
Before Theo could even say anything, his grip tightened, making him want to shriek in pain, but he refrained.
"Have you gone arrogant? Even though you have reached nowhere? Do you think you have reached anywhere?" The baron asked with his face getting close.
Theo could see it in the guy’s eyes. He was totally pissed off and there was no baroness to control him at the mont.
"You realize how badly you have injured your wrists right now? Just because of a dumb decision you made mid air. You think just because you saw do it, you can do it too?" He asked, making Theo shake his head with eye contact.
He could tell he ssed up real bad this ti.
The baron quickly loosened the grip on his wrist and stepped back.
"Go on. I want to see you hold your sword right now," he spoke with a deep tone.
Theo did not take a single mont to think and went for his sword right away.
When he gripped the sword while it was still in the hilt, he could already feel that sothing was wrong, yet he did not let it show on his face.
The baron just kept looking at him as if already knowing what would happen.
Theo pulled it out of the scabbard very slowly.
And one could tell he was not doing it by using the wrist, but by having his hand in a weird spot where his elbow was doing the pulling, not the wrist.
The baron just hmphed in annoyance.
Theo kept pulling it up no matter how much pain he was feeling. His eyes kept twitching as if the pain was too much and anyone with the right mind could tell.
"Just taking out the sword has beco such a task, son. Do you realize what is wrong here?" The baron said while his voice started having a little bit of concern with scorn.
"I do," Theo spoke while biting his lips.
"Clearly I can’t trust you when you pulled sothing this dumb just because you wanted to try sothing or whatever. I can’t believe you, Theo," the baron spoke again and then took his left hand in his and inspected it slowly.
"You have done your wrists dirty, Theo. So much force like a barbarian. Such a sha."
The more the baron spoke, the more it felt like Theo had arrows jabbing at his heart.
"You want to see sheer strength that you were trying to pull?" The baron asked before moving his gaze to the side.
Theo looked there and found the ape standing there looking at them all.
But sothing was different. Theo could see a small sword in its hands. And his mind diverted to the thought that it was not the sword that was small, but the ape’s hands and arms were just huge compared to it.
"Here, you dumb ape! Try it again!" The baron roared at the ape, making its eyes go crazy and for it to shout again.
Elias beca a little wary. He understood the situation a little bit, but he also knew sothing more.
"The ape is too riled up right now. Please, my lord, don’t provoke it," Elias spoke with concern while his brain scread that he could not talk to the baron this way.
"Hmph. Just look at what it does, attendant," the baron spoke in pride, looking at it move with both its hands and legs while sprinting toward them.
The sword hit the ground so many tis, making them also realize that at the end of the day, it was a beast that was using it.
Theo saw the crazy look in its eyes when it went and hit the sword with the sa angle he had used.
And when the sword hit the worm’s body, everyone went silent except the baron, who couldn’t stop giggling.
"Hahahahaha! Now this is what you call a battle ape!" He spoke while bursting out in laughter.
The worm’s body split at the halfway point and Theo could see just how clean this attack was.
More than anyone, it was Elias that was the most shocked.
The ape looked at the results and then looked at the sword with a newfound light in its eyes. It was as if it had just gained enlightennt.
"Are you telling my beast has more talent in swordsmanship than ?" Elias couldn’t help but speak, only for all of them to stop for a mont and then start laughing.
It seed they now had a swordsman monkey in their ranks now.
