After sending the ssage, Rory deleted Paros from her contacts and shut off her light-brain.
She took out the piece of black crystal Paros had given her earlier from her space ring and handed it to Vincent.
"This is sothing Paros gave before. Help return it to him," she said calmly.
"Tell him that I still owe him one soothing session. When he needs it, he can co find directly."
She truly didn’t want to see Paros again. The man had actually wanted her to cook when he asked her to dine with him.
Even Jasper and Vincent couldn’t bear to let her lift a finger—yet he had the nerve.
She was no longer the penniless nobody she used to be. Now she had star credits, backing, and family.
Vincent glanced at the black crystal, then smiled and nodded. "All right. I’ll have soone return it to him shortly."
With Paros’s matter settled, Rory smiled at Vincent, too. "I’ll go soothe Jasper now. Call if you need anything."

Upstairs, Jasper lay on the bed in Rory’s room. His upper body was bare, and his snake tail swayed lazily across the mattress.
The mont Rory entered, he quickly pulled the blanket over himself.
"Hey, why aren’t you asleep yet?" Rory asked softly. She walked over, sat beside him, and kissed him lightly on the lips.
"I couldn’t sleep without you," he replied. His purple snake tail slipped out from under the blanket and wrapped around her waist.
"Rory... I don’t have Nix’s background, nor Yuel’s intelligence, and I’m nowhere near as powerful as Prince Vincent. Will you... dislike because of that?"
So the little snake was feeling inferior after being compared to Vincent. Rory imdiately hugged him.
"Of course not. If you’re putting it that way, then I’m the most useless one in this family. Should you dislike , too?"
"Never," Jasper said instantly, shaking his head. "You are my life now. I would never dislike you."
Rory looped her arms around his neck and looked at him seriously. "Jasper, they have their strengths, and you have yours. I don’t like you because you’re powerful. I like you because you’re you. You’re my life—and I’m yours."
Jasper held her tightly. "Thank you, Rory. You’re amazing."
She placed a finger between his brows, and her spiritual power flowed gently into his ntal sea.
Compared to the last soothing session, his ntal state was far more stable this ti.
That allowed Rory to finally relax a little.
After soothing him, she drank a vial of blood-restoring potion and lay down beside him. She found a comfortable position in his arms, gently stroking his snake tail, and closed her eyes.
One more dose of blood-restoring potion today, and she would be almost fully recovered.
She planned to recuperate for another two days—then give Jasper her blood once more.
If her blood could help Vincent advance smoothly to Rank Eleven, then it should be able to help Jasper reach Rank Ten as well.

anwhile...
Paros stared at Rory’s last ssage for a long ti.
Hadn’t she agreed earlier to have a al together? Why had she suddenly refused?
He thought it over repeatedly, but couldn’t figure out why. Then, he sent her another ssage.
Paros:Is sothing urgent going on? Do you need my help?
The mont he sent it, a system notification appeared.
System:The recipient is not on your contact list. ssage cannot be delivered.
Paros’s eyes darkened with confusion.
Ethan Gabriel, seeing Paros fall silent, couldn’t help asking, "Lord Paros, what did Female Master Rory say? Did she agree to visit the waters?"
Paros frowned deeply. "She deleted ."
"...What?" It took Ethan a mont to react. When he did, the centuries-old dragon nearly jumped in shock.
"Lord Paros, what did you just say?! Female Master deleted you? Your Female Master deleted you?!"
What in the world had his lord done? How had he managed to offend such a mild-tempered female?
"Lord Paros, what did you say to her? How did you make her delete you?" Ethan asked, trembling.
Paros wanted to know that himself. "I didn’t say anything. I just said I wanted to treat her to a al."
He opened his light-brain and showed Ethan the chat history.
Ethan stared at it for a while. He didn’t dare shout—but he clenched his teeth and asked,
"Lord Paros... if you were treating Female Master Rory to a al, why did you ask her to cook?"
Paros replied matter-of-factly. "Because the food she cooks is delicious. It tastes better than anything served in the top-tier restaurants."
Ethan: "..."
Oh. Oh wow.
He suddenly didn’t want to talk anymore.
In fact, he almost wanted to laugh.
Served him right. Absolutely deserved.
"What’s wrong with that?" Paros asked, confused, seeing Ethan’s furious expression.
Ethan took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to explode. "Lord Paros, females are noble. I may not have a Female Master, but I have never heard of a male daring to ask a female to cook for him."
Paros frowned. "But back in Veridan, she cooked for all the ti—and she seed happy doing it."
The more he spoke, the more confused he beca. Back then, Rory had clearly been happy.
Why was she so angry this ti? Females were truly impossible to understand.
Ethan’s brows knitted together. "Lord Paros, when you first went to Veridan to see Female Master Rory, and she cooked for you—what did she say at the ti?"
Was it possible she had only been polite on their first eting, and his lord had taken it seriously?
Paros recalled the situation and explained it.
In the past, he would never have shared such things with subordinates. But now, he genuinely didn’t understand—and the discomfort in his heart was growing.
"I gave her star coins, and she happily agreed to cook. Could it be... she refused to cook because I didn’t give her star coins this ti? Then why did she transfer credits back to just now?"
And after that—she deleted him. Without even an explanation.
Ethan felt like the sky was falling. "Lord Paros... since you already dissolved the bond with Female Rory, and your ntal state has stabilized... Why are you still contacting her at all?"
And asking her to cook? Did she owe him sothing?
"Lord Paros, maybe you should try living like —single. Sure, being single ans no Female Master to dote on you, no soft and sweet female to hold while sleeping, no one to soothe your ntal storms... But other than that, it’s actually quite nice. No one controls you—it’s easy and free!"
Ethan said that, but he knew that Paros deserved to be deleted from Rory’s contact list. And she was even polite enough not to curse him.
"What are you implying?" Paros asked unhappily, glaring down at him. "Am I really in the wrong?"
If Ethan weren’t his elder, he would have turned and left on the spot.
"Lord Paros, you’re so capable—why can’t you spare a little more thought for your Female Master? You said Female Master Rory happily accepted your star coins and cooked for you. But did you ever consider why she was happy to accept those coins back then?"
Paros pressed his lips together. "...Because she was short on star coins at the ti."
Ethan sighed heavily. "You see? You can figure it out the mont you think about it. So why didn’t you think about it then? You were the first matched partner to seek her out—you had every advantage. Why couldn’t you put even a little more thought into your Female Master back then?"
