They stayed like that for a long ti, tangled together in the quiet room as the sun rose higher.

For a few brief monts, the threat of the Empire and the mysterious boy felt far away.

They found comfort in each other’s warmth, trying to hold onto this peaceful feeling before the inevitable storm of the eting with Luoye and the intruder arrived.

Xing Luoguang didn’t waste any ti. After leaving his room, he went straight to find his brother. He found Xing Luoye in the command center, staring at digital maps of the desert with a dark, brooding expression.

"Brother," Luoguang began, his voice firm but filled with a hint of pleading.

"I have spoken with Yue Yue. She was heartbroken that we doubted her. She has no way to contact the Empire, and she is willing to do anything to prove her innocence."

Xing Luoye didn’t even turn around. "Of course she said that. What did you expect? A confession?"

"She wants to et the boy," Luoguang continued, stepping closer.

"She wants to see him face-to-face to show us that she has no connection to him. She wants to clear her na properly. Please, let her do this."

Xing Luoye finally turned around, his eyes cold and sharp.

He looked at his brother as if he were looking at a stranger. He couldn’t believe that Luoguang...the warrior who was usually so calm and calculated was being moved so easily by a female’s tears.

To Luoye, his brother looked like a fool who was being manipulated by his own heart.

"You are begging for this?" Xing Luoye asked, his voice dripping with disbelief. "For her?"

"I believe her, Luoye," Xing Luoguang said stubbornly. "And I want you to see the truth as well."

Xing Luoye was about to refuse instantly. He thought the entire situation was absurd.

Why would they bring her directly to the intruder? It felt like walking into a trap.

But then, an idea clicked in his mind.

If they allowed them to et, he could watch them. If they were truly in cahoots, they wouldn’t be able to hide their recognition forever.

It was the perfect way to test if Yue Yue was a brilliant actress or a genuine victim. If she was dirty, this eting would expose her once and for all.

His expression shifted from anger to a chilling, stiff calm.

"Fine," Luoye said, nodding slowly. "Let her prepare. I will make the arrangents for the eting in the interrogation block."

Xing Luoguang felt a massive wave of relief. "Thank you, Brother. You won’t regret this."

"We shall see," Xing Luoye replied shortly, turning back to his maps.

As Luoguang hurried away to tell Yue Yue the news, Luoye’s eyes narrowed. He wasn’t doing this out of kindness.

He was doing this to catch a spy. He imdiately signaled his guards to prepare the most secure room and to double the surveillance.

He wanted to see exactly what happened when the girl with the purple hair looked into the eyes of the boy who shared her face.

Xing Luoguang agreed to the arrangent.

Although he trusted Yue Yue, a small part of him also wanted to see her reaction with his own eyes when she t him.

He went to fetch her, finding her nervous but determined. She was ready to prove that she was not a spy and that she would never bring harm to the city.

They walked together toward the interrogation block. The air grew colder as they descended into the high-security area. Finally, they reached a heavy tallic door.

Xing Luoguang stopped and looked at her. "You go inside," he said quietly. "I will wait here."

Yue Yue looked at him with a bewildered expression. "Why are you not coming with ?"

Xing Luoguang shook his head. "It is better if you go alone. You can see him for yourself."

Yue Yue nodded, her heart pounding against her ribs. She took a deep breath and stepped through the door.

As she entered, she was imdiately stunned.

The room was mostly empty. There were no guards or any sign of Xing Luoye.

She felt a sharp sting of hurt...were they so sure she was a traitor that they didn’t even care if this intruder attacked her? Or were they just watching from behind a glass she couldn’t see?

In the center of the room, a young boy sat at a cold tal table. His head was leaning down, his face completely obscured by long, ssy locks of hair.

Yue Yue stepped closer, her footsteps echoing in the silence. As she got nearer, she froze.

Even from the distance, she could see his hair. It was the exact sa shade of pastel purple as hers. It was almost eighty to ninety percent identical. Anyone looking at them would think they belonged to the sa family.

The boy seed to sense her presence. He slowly lifted his head, his hair falling away from his face.

Both of them froze instantly.

Yue Yue felt the world tilt. She almost stumbled backward in pure shock. It was like looking into a mirror, but at a male version of herself.

They had the sa gemstone-blue eyes, the sa shape of the nose, and the sa delicate features. They looked like twins.

The boy’s face was covered in bruises and cuts from Xing Luoye’s interrogation, but the mont his eyes landed on her, the mocking look he had held all night vanished.

A small, genuine smile touched his bloody lips.

"Sister," he whispered softly.

Yue Yue stood there, her mouth hanging open, completely speechless. Her mind was a whirlwind of confusion.

The original owner had been an orphan her whole life. She had never known a brother. But looking at this boy’s face, she couldn’t deny the truth staring back at her.

Behind the hidden observation glass, Xing Luoguang and Xing Luoye watched in total silence, their faces grim as they witnessed the undeniable connection between the two.

Yue Yue was struck with a wave of pure shock. Her head spun as she took several steps back, her eyes wide with terror.

"I am not your sister!" she scread, her voice trembling. "I don’t even know you!"

She felt a cold realization wash over her.

No wonder Xing Luoguang had been so torn by doubt. Looking at this boy’s face was like looking into a mirror. They were almost identical. Anyone with eyes would say they were family.

If they both were relatives, how could she ever clear her na? Even if she jumped into the Yellow River, she wouldn’t be able to wash away the suspicion.
