Now reading: Chapter 8 - 08: Yue Yue does not know how to wear a shirt from Interstellar Beast World: Winning the Villain's Heart with Cubs, a Fantasy novel by VioletMelody99.

Han Soi cleared his throat the mont he stepped inside the room, trying his best to hide the warmth creeping up his face.

He held the folded shirt carefully in his hands. It was the only thing he had managed to find inside his spatial storage. He didn’t have any female clothing stored, and why would he? He had never brought any female ho before.

And giving her his pants was absolutely impossible. Looking at her small, fragile fra, she could probably fit her entire body inside one pant leg.

So... the shirt it was.

Yue Yue stared at him warily, as if he was a beast approaching with fangs bared instead of a shirt.

Han Soi paused. Her expression was so guarded that his lips twitched helplessly. She looked terrified of him now... but she had slept beside him earlier so peacefully that she even snored a little.

He had definitely heard those soft, faint breaths that sounded like a tiny kitten purring.

There wasn’t even a trace of fear in her when she slept.

But now?

Her whole body was wrapped like a dumpling with wide and cautious eyes, watching him like he might attack at any mont.

Han Soi felt sothing stir in his chest...it was probably amusent; it was his first ti dealing with a female, and such a cute one...that even her little cute glare was making him react in a different way.

He kept his movents gentle as he extended the shirt toward her.

"...This is all I have," he said quietly. "It should cover you better than a sheet."

Yue Yue blinked at him once and twice with her large eyes.

For a second, she looked honestly stunned that he had actually brought clothing. Her grip on the sheet loosened just slightly. She hesitated, then finally stretched out one small hand from her fabric cocoon and accepted the shirt.

"...Thank you," she whispered.

Her voice was so small it sounded like a mosquito sighing. Han Soi almost didn’t hear it. But he did. And his chest tightened strangely again.

She clutched the shirt tightly, thinking, "What if he snatches it back?"

And then...Grrrrrrr...

A loud stomach growl echoed through the silent room.

Yue Yue froze.

Han Soi blinked.

She turned red in one second.

Her eyes widened in horror as she looked everywhere except at him. She wanted to die. She wanted the system to kill her right now.

"I...I just..." she stamred.

But Han Soi interrupted her gently.

"You should get dressed first," he said calmly, saving her from further embarrassnt. "I will bring you sothing to eat."

Before she could reply, he turned around and walked out swiftly, closing the door behind him so she could have privacy.

Yue Yue sat there, clutching the shirt, dazed.

This man... was not acting like the villain she imagined. Aside from the terrifying red eyes from earlier, he didn’t seem bad at all. Actually, he was... strangely considerate.

She looked at the shirt again.

It was dark, soft, and clearly of high quality. There were tiny glowing symbols stitched near the collar...sothing she didn’t understand. The material felt smooth and oddly comfortable.

She took a deep breath, then slowly untangled herself from the sheet, keeping it wrapped around her body like armor. Once she was free, she held the shirt up.

And then frowned.

"...How do I wear this?"

She stared at the piece of clothing with intense concentration.

Her world had extrely simple clothes. A top, a bottom. Tie here, slip there, and it was that easy.

But this shirt?

It had strange lines, hidden seams, and glowing symbols, and she flipped it...what was this weird opening at the front?

She put her head through the bottom.

Imdiately...she got stuck.

"Mmff—?!"

The shirt swallowed her entire upper body. Her arms got tangled sowhere inside the sleeves, and her hair stuck out the collar in a ridiculous puff. She tried pulling it off, but the material stretched strangely and made everything worse.

She stumbled blindly around the room, still wrapped slightly in the sheet, bumping into the bed with a soft thud.

"Why is this thing so complicated?!" she hissed internally.

After struggling for another full minute, she finally managed to yank her head out...only to find the shirt rotated, sleeves hanging like sad noodles.

She glared at it.

"This shirt is definitely cursed," she muttered.

She tried again.

This ti she put her head through the collar, assuming that was the right hole.

It was... but she accidentally shoved her arm through the wrong spot again, and the sleeve twisted, pulling tight against her elbow.

"Ah—! Let go!"

She flailed.

The shirt refused to cooperate.

She spun one circle, then another, then sohow the sheet fell off her shoulders, and she shrieked while trying to grab it again, all while being trapped halfway in the shirt.

If Han Soi walked in now....

She would die. She would literally die of sha.

"System! Help!" she cried in her mind.

The system, unhelpful as always, didn’t respond at all.

"Useless piece of junk!" she shouted at it ntally.

She tried again.

This ti she took a cautious approach—slow, careful, examining each part like a suspicious animal. After turning the shirt around multiple tis, she finally figured out the general orientation.

"Okay... this side in front... sleeves here... holes here..."

She whispered to herself like she was disarming a bomb.

She slid one arm in.

Success.

She slid the other arm in.

Success.

She slowly put her head through the collar.

And...

"...I did it?"

The shirt fell neatly over her body, almost reaching her knees. The sleeves were long...very long. They covered her hands completely, ending sowhere after a distance from her finger.

She wiggled her arms.

The sleeves flapped like oversized wings.

She looked down at herself.

"I look like a lost child wearing her dad’s clothes," she muttered.

But the shirt was warm, soft, and slled faintly like fresh wind and sothing soothing...

She blushed again, quickly shaking the thought away.

Just then, footsteps echoed outside the hallway.

Yue Yue startled, straightened her posture, grabbed the sheet again just in case, and stood silently beside the bed.
