The High Priest looked at her adorable, pouting expression and felt his heart soften despite his anger.

He let out a long sigh, his red eyes losing so of their sharp edges. "Okay, don’t scream," he said in a low voice.

​He carefully adjusted his hold and helped her lie down on the large, soft bed. "You should take a rest," he said, his voice returning to a calr tone. "I will go and handle the situation outside."

​When he ntioned the situation outside, his expression changed instantly. The gentleness that had been there just monts ago vanished.

His eyes turned cold and sharp again as he thought about the thousands of Orcs currently losing their minds over her. Yue Yue looked at him but didn’t say anything.

She just nodded her head obediently. In her mind, she was thinking, Yes, please go! She is already too overwheld.

​Looking at her obedient appearance, the High Priest’s expression cald down once more. He liked it when she was submissive to him.

He leaned over her one last ti with a look of warning. "Stay here. Do not go out until I say so. Soone will bring your als to this room shortly, okay?"

​Yue Yue nodded again, looking like a good little girl.

​"If you want to move around," he added, "you are not allowed to leave the Inner Sanctum without my permission at all. If you feel bored and want to roam, you must stay within the temple grounds with Wei Han. He will be able to protect you."

​With that final warning, he turned around and walked out of the room. The heavy doors clicked shut, leaving Yue Yue alone in the quiet luxury of the inner sanctum.

​The mont she heard his footsteps fade away, Yue Yue let out a massive sigh of relief.

The tension left her body all at once. She sat up for a second to make sure he was really gone, then fell back onto the soft pillows with a groan.

​"Today was really a hard day," she muttered to herself. Her brain was exhausted from the testing, the riot, the Prince, and the High Priest’s aura. She felt like she had lived through an entire year in just one morning.

​She clutched her stomach, feeling the slight weight of the egg. "We survived, little one," she whispered. "Now let’s just get so sleep while the high priest is busy fighting off the rest of the world."

​Before she could even think about a plan for the next day, her eyes grew heavy. Within minutes, the comfort of the bed and the silence of the room took over, and she fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

When the High Priest stepped out of the Inner Sanctum and walked back into the main area of the temple, the atmosphere was completely different.

The chaos had been silenced. All the rebellious Orcs who had tried to storm the stage were now pinned to the ground or held firmly by the temple guards.

As Feng Yanshen approached, the wild madness that had taken over their minds finally began to fade. Rationality returned to them, and they realized with a cold shiver what they had actually done.

They looked at the High Priest with fearful expressions. Monts ago, they were acting like crazed beasts, thinking only of getting close to the S female to save their own futures.

Now, they realized they had made a mistake so big it would likely lead to their demise. They would have been crying in joy if the High Priest just let them leave with a slap on the face, but they knew that was impossible.

As Feng Yanshen stopped before them, every single Orc imdiately bowed as low as they could, their foreheads touching the cold marble floor. They were ashad and terrified. They couldn’t believe they had behaved like enraged beasts in such a holy place.

Feng Yanshen looked down at them with a cold sneer hidden behind his calm face. He was back to his composed, holy figure with the white silk blindfold wrapped around his eyes.

Looking at him now, no one would ever guess that just minutes ago, he was a jealous man ready to kill them all because they dared to lay their filthy eyes on his female.

His voice rang out, cold and clear, cutting through the whimpers of the n. "Send them all to the Prison Star."
