"I don’t understand what you an by challenging them. That implies provocation and starting trouble. The underlying logic doesn’t support initiating an attack on an organization that operates under the rule of law."

"Then how did you access the traffic system?" Su Xiaocai was confused.

Wisdom 03: "I made friends with the traffic departnt’s AI. I promised to help it handle the traffic managent stress, and in return, it helps monitor Yi Suilu."

Su Xiaocai looked blankly at the ceiling.

Letting AI surf the web freely can indeed lead to so strange outcos.

An AI making friends?

It seems, well, not impossible.

Su Xiaocai pondered Wisdom 03’s actions; at least it spared her the trouble of dealing with law enforcers.

Having the traffic departnt’s AI monitor Yi Suilu was a godsend, not only legal but unrestricted.

The "child" of her household was impressive, making friends with the Ten Stars System’s most powerful network force.

This was sothing she could brag about for a lifeti.

Su Xiaocai rubbed her face, "Be careful and don’t overstep."

"Yes, master."

...

Su Xiaocai humd a song as she went out for the lovingly prepared dinner by Xiao Wanzi, which included cold cucumber salad and button mushroom beef broth noodles. Her bowl of noodles was twice the size of Sister Liang’s.

Sister Liang found nothing strange about this; young people eating more is normal.

What she didn’t know was that Su Xiaocai had eaten two pounds of fruit, three packs of spicy strips, two bags of chips, and a bottle of fizzy drink in her room already.

Even so, she still wasn’t full and continued to eat.

Sister Liang, having benefitted from Su Xiaocai’s hospitality, said, "I’ve already asked for another room to be prepared. Let’s move later."

The troubleso nurse had been with the doctor for almost three hours, and the situation didn’t seem to look good.

Sister Liang didn’t want to stay in the sa room as soone who might be infected.

This was a reasonable request, and the authorities imdiately approved her room change request.

When good luck cos, it’s unstoppable.

A double blessing, no longer having to live with a troubleso roommate, Su Xiaocai moved right after dinner.

After moving, she still had so ti, so Su Xiaocai went for a walk, strolling until she reached Ji Li’s doctor’s office.

At this mont, he was seriously looking at the computer screen, brows furrowed.

"Is there sothing wrong?"

Su Xiaocai was wearing a mask.

Ji Li found it odd, "Why are you here?"

"I’m the doctor’s assistant, here to clock in." Su Xiaocai spouted nonsense, then seriously said, "Could you give a check-up?"

"What’s wrong?" Ji Li put down his work to examine her closely. Her complexion was a radiant glow, as if she’d just bathed.

"A potential virus-infected person in our dorm had close contact with ." Su Xiaocai feared that any health issues might cause irreversible loss in the middle of her mission.

If there’s any doubt, just get checked at the doctor.

"The roommate you ntioned, is she a nurse?"

"Yes. Did she co here?" Su Xiaocai glanced outside the door and whispered to Ji Li, "Did she catch a virus? Or bacteria?"

In the military departnt clinic, there were thirty examination rooms in total. Ji Li’s was the last, secluded and quiet.

Su Xiaocai: "Tell secretly, I promise not to tell others."

Ji Li: "Have you completed all your anti-virus shots?"

"Of course, all done. Daddy Su places high importance on health issues. He takes to anti-virus chambers every year." Daddy Su doesn’t mind paying extra if it works well.

"As long as the shots are completed." Ji Li was not at liberty to disclose patient information. "To be safe, let’s do a check-up."

The examination report ca out quickly.

Looking at the data, Ji Li confird once again that Su Xiaocai’s health was so good that it seed problematic.

On the battleship, he had personally witnessed Su Xiaocai’s rapid Qi Sensing improvent, where her physical state advanced significantly.

Under normal circumstances, there would be a few days of discomfort.

After the condition stabilized, one would imdiately check for any signs of genetic chain collapse.

Su Xiaocai was the complete opposite, fearless, having confidently told him at their first eting that she’d be fine.

Ji Li compared the results and spread out his hands, contemplating whether he should check himself.

Suddenly, Ji Li hesitated.

He was afraid that his body would turn out to be worse, with daily life seemingly normal, yet tests might show his body nearing its end.

The shadow of death and his mother’s cries haunted his entire adolescence until he distanced himself from negative sources, stabilizing his condition significantly.

But still, he couldn’t stop the slow march towards death.

"Doctor Ji, how am I?" Su Xiaocai looked at Ji Li’s dazed expression, curious beyond asure.

Ji Li saw her inching towards his hand, the bun on her head begging to be patted.

Cool fingertips tapped her forehead, gently pushing her back, "You’re very healthy. I’m just surprised by your quick advancent without any discomfort."

"Oh, since I was young, I’ve had this advantage—eating natural foods and staying active, sotis annoying my dad—I’m in great shape."

Ji Li chuckled, "Poor Uncle Su."

Su Xiaocai: "Nah, not hard at all. I’ll thank him on his behalf."

Ji Li, lazy to argue with her thick skin, "Don’t worry, you won’t be in trouble. You and Teacher Liang both have antibodies; just rest well."

Teacher Liang is a school teacher, and every year his school organizes complete staff dical exams and virus chamber enhancents for antiviral resistance.

It’s hard to catch the sa type of virus.

The nurse was quite unlucky, delayed for unknown reasons, resulting in severe health issues.

"Thank you, Doctor Ji." Su Xiaocai quickly returned to the dorm, conveying her findings to Sister Liang.

"That’s good." Sister Liang disliked complications, "Good night, Xiao Cai, pleasant dreams."

"Good night, Teacher Liang." With her mission accomplished, Su Xiaocai hurried to sleep, needing to rise early the next day.

...

The nurse returned coughing the next day, unaware that her roommate had moved out.

She first went to her bedroom and went online to question the Black Head of the group. Why was germ-infected clothing sent to her?

The plan was originally for soone else; why did it land on her?

How could they be so sure that Su Xiaocai would catch the virus and not her?

The clothing was sent by Black Head, saying they were custom pajamas for the group mbers, already washed, as a surprise.

The surprise ca quickly and fiercely.

Because of her delay in seeing a doctor, she suffered multiple organ damages, needing a month to recover her lungs, liver, trachea, and skin completely.

Consequently, she couldn’t perform her nursing duties, requiring a whole month’s sick leave with no inco.

Black Head finally responded, gently comforting her via voice ssage, "It was our logistics that ssed up because each group mber’s pajamas are different. Was yours perhaps the wrong size? Too loose?"

"Ah, it’s our imdiate internal mistake, no proper verification work was done, we’ll compensate for your loss. How does eighteen thousand sound? Dear nurse sister, you won’t bla , will you?" Black Head’s voice was low and seductive as he replied via voice ssage.

The rage stuck in her throat halved instantly, and awkwardly she said, "Cough, sorry, I misunderstood you two. I thought you had advance information, knowing I’d room with her."

"It’s okay, we’re family, as long as misunderstandings are cleared up." Black Head coaxed smoothly, "Let’s not ntion this again. I’ve already reprimanded logistics, and she’s been suspended. The infection plan is canceled; we just got word that they’re very cautious with annual health check-ups. We were too careless."

The transaction of eighteen thousand was completed.

The nurse instantly accepted the money, fully believing Black Head’s explanation, "Don’t worry, we still have opportunities. Next, I’ll try to get closer to them. If I’d been more friendly from the start, it’d be easier to get near them. Am I that useless, do you plan on abandoning ?"

"It’s not your fault. We all dislike her—a person who acts high and mighty after instant fa, indeed making it difficult for you to interact with her. You’re one of the first mbers in our group, a founding veteran, you won’t be easily removed."
