Wu Qingqing had also heard about this institute, but it was a bit far from Capital Star, and even if she went, it could only be during the holidays.

"Is there no other way?"

"No."

"Thank you, coach, I understand."

Just after Wu Qingqing finished the call, the coach also phoned the Non-human Research Institute, "I’ve recomnded the person to you. There’s a high chance they’ll co to your side. Don’t forget the commission we agreed on."

...

Feeling heavy-hearted, Wu Qingqing returned to the dormitory, but Su Xiaocai was nowhere to be seen.

Where did Su Xiaocai go?

Su Xiaocai hadn’t explored the campus yet, so she went sightseeing, of course.

Before the start of the military training, access was quite free, except for the laboratory building and the armory, which were off-limits. Everywhere else only required a student ID.

Once the sester starts, it’s uncertain whether there will be ti to explore.

She went to check out the library first.

The library was composed of two buildings, so large that Su Xiaocai thought it was a major sports arena. The color-changing glass reflected a jade green in the sunlight, looking like a giant gem from afar, very beautiful.

Su Xiaocai didn’t go in, figuring there would be plenty of opportunities in the future, and she continued walking based on her intuition.

Along the main campus path stood low, futuristic-looking lamp posts. As Su Xiaocai approached, she realized these posts weren’t just street lights.

The posts were only three ters high, with a small platform protruding at waist height, offering rapid charging services. They also stored a few umbrellas that could be taken by swiping a student card.

Only if the umbrellas were not returned within two days would there be a charge.

Su Xiaocai admired the lavishness of the military training program.

She kept watching and walking, encountering nurous giant trees that would take three people to hug around. Su Xiaocai would pause occasionally to check what kinds of trees they were.

Slowly, she wandered further, reaching the dical Building.

The ground floor of the dical Building housed the school clinic, with three school clinic rooms lined up, though only one was open now.

Strangely, there was a long line at the entrance, made up almost entirely of girls.

Su Xiaocai stepped closer and lined up, "Are you all injured?"

The girl shyly replied, "Yeah, just a little hurt." She raised her finger, which had a small cut that was close to healing without applying any dicine.

The girl looked Su Xiaocai up and down and quietly sighed in relief. Su Xiaocai’s chubby cheeks made her look like a minor child, not a threat.

She asked, "And you, are you here to see the doctor too?"

"Yeah, to see the doctor." It had been a long ti since Su Xiaocai had asured her abilities; the ho testing device’s range was too limited. Daddy Su didn’t want to buy a new one, saying it was too expensive, and told her to test at school instead.

So, here she was.

The girl gave a aningful smile, "You’ve got good taste."

How could seeing a doctor be related to taste?

The line moved quickly, and Su Xiaocai finally understood why there were so many girls seeing the school doctor.

Two handso n were inside the clinic.

Xue Huiyi’s fiancé, Ji Heng, was there too, seemingly playing the role of an assistant, and the girls loved to gather around him.

The girls were not reserved at all, staring intently at his face.

Ji Heng remained calm, with a cold expression, wearing dical gloves, applying dicine with a very dosticated husband vibe.

By Su Xiaocai’s standards, the other clinic physician in the white coat was more handso.

The doctor’s features were quite similar to Ji Heng’s, with snow-white skin, lips that weren’t as thin, pink, with a hint of purple around the edges. He carried a faint lancholy between his brows, like a beautiful but sickly person.

When the doctor called for the next person, Ji Heng looked up and, seeing it was Su Xiaocai, spoke stiffly, "What kind of injury do you have?"

"I’m not injured."

Ji Heng: "If you’re not injured, what are you doing here?"

"Does one have to be injured to co to the clinic?" Su Xiaocai glared.

Ji Heng really disliked girls coming here for small issues that could be dealt with by a simple band-aid, wasting dical resources with unnecessary ointnts and bandages.

"So, what’s your reason for coming to the clinic?"

Su Xiaocai was baffled, with a strange expression, thinking he must believe she was here because she liked him.

Su Xiaocai took a step back to maintain a two-ter distance and circled to the clinic physician, "I want to test my abilities. Do you have the equipnt here, Doctor?"

Ji Heng sneered lightly, mocking her for so reason.

Su Xiaocai couldn’t be bothered with him. This guy was really annoying, and his fiancée was also very irritating.

The clinic doctor, Ji Li, had a personality opposite to Ji Heng. He was very gentle, although this gentleness was superficial and purely out of professional conduct as a doctor, but at least he smiled without an air of arrogance.

"Co with ," Ji Li put down his pen, no longer writing in the dical record. He helplessly said to Ji Heng, "These people are probably here for you; handle it, and send them off if you can."
