Admiral Bai sent a ssage to the dical Departnt, "Bring the truth serum over."

The truth serum doesn’t have any magical effects. The drug primarily acts on the nerves and brain, forcing the brain to relax while dulling the nerves. With a little bit of psychological suggestion, it will make one spill the truth.

However, this drug originates from a type of mushroom toxin and damages the nerves. The Law Enforcent Departnt would never use it unless absolutely necessary.

Admiral Bai made the decision firmly. The sooner the truth is known, the better.

A million troops have already headed to Huangyang Star. The most crucial elent in warfare is the information gap. If the enemy is in the dark and we are in the open, we must pry open their secrets quickly; dragging it out might complicate matters.

...

Colonel Bai was at that mont on his way to Huangyang Star. The tampering of his cha was an utter humiliation.

He gritted his teeth and reported the incident.

Upon seeing the ssage, Admiral Bai couldn’t help but get angry. Every year, batches of people were screened out, yet there were always leaks.

The system could easily check who had touched Colonel Bai’s cha; it was clear as day.

Admiral Bai quickly received the background information of the person from the maintenance departnt.

Admiral Bai nearly exploded, "It’s those people again, again, and again..."

After the incident, the military of the 022 chanical Planet prohibited the recomndation system. Every year, it’s always those people causing trouble.

Several of those recomnded into the maintenance departnt.

The recomnding party always feigned innocence. When one recomndor loses their qualification, the next brings in another fool.

Never-ending.

He was eager to see what tricks they could co up with next.

"Send the command: students, stay put, no leaving. Instructors, keep them in line." Just as Admiral Bai’s words dropped, the base’s power system malfunctioned.

The lights went out, backup power activated.

One wave was not over when another arose.

"Alert, alert, the artificial intelligence system is shutting down. All units, prepare for manual operation."

"Counting down three minutes, 179, 178..."

The artificial intelligence was responsible for overseeing all energy use and surveillance; personnel would be seriously dispersed.

More importantly, the reception of information at the base station would be significantly delayed.

However, the disruption of artificial intelligence was not the worst.

The attacks were not limited to Planet 022; a dozen or more military zone stations were also affected.

Oddly enough, incidents also happened where students were just arranged to be.

The Ten Stars System was in complete chaos.

To provide support, these places already had plenty of soldiers. Supporting soldiers from other places would be like a drop in the bucket.

Whoever manipulated things from behind, no one knew how long they planned this; the scale of the operation was unprecedented.

It was scarier than the official "Ten Stars Link" exercise.

No matter how seasoned Admiral Bai was, how stable his emotions, the onslaught of events threw him off rhythm.

"Xiao Yuan, investigate the artificial intelligence issues. All personnel be ready to take over the AI’s monitoring tasks."

The AI count was halfway down when it suddenly halted.

Colonel Yuan, on his way to the server storage room, saw two soldiers stationed at the doorway breaking the door. "What’s going on here?"

"No idea, the cleaning robot suddenly went out of control and attacked the server. We just saw it destroying the power supply unit."

The artificial intelligence had independent power supply; even when cut off, it could still operate.

The robots attacking it aid to destroy the backup power.

The person behind the operation was too clever, hitting precisely at weak points.

Having just received requests for support from other star systems, Admiral Bai thought: he hadn’t sorted out his own issues yet, how could he provide support?

The Insect Man—where did they co from, and the timing was too perfect.

There must be human conspirators involved.

"The AI has been connected to the latest network equipnt, replaced by a new AI."

Everyone: "??!"

When was there a new AI; was it planted by the enemy?

With the server room door successfully forced open, the young colonel rushed to the AI server, finding it already without power.

Suddenly, a screen in front of the server displayed: "Hello, Colonel, I am the backup AI, substituting the predecessor for a few hours, here to assist your military work."

The new AI introduced itself without much, simply listing all the issues and sending them out.

It forwarded this ssage to the Vice Admiral.

"Base station 73, base station 90, base station 130... a total of over thirty base stations are damaged, and image analysis from surveillance indicates an Insect Man attack. From this intelligence observation, each base station has at least one Demon Eye Worm as the main force; please send personnel for support. Base stations near Huangyang Star show no signal response, suggesting human interference or possibly a new type of Insect Man’s ability. The base’s overall function is being restored, estimated ti remaining: ten seconds..."

"Surveillance image shows this unidentified person causing trouble..." The image generation was exceedingly swift, finding key evidence rivaling the Capital Star’s AI, it sent information to the police.
