During dinner, Su Xiaocai said to the robot butler, "Xiao Wanzi, your cooking has improved again. This garlic spareribs dish is delicious. I want to have it again tomorrow."
The robot butler had a round head and body, like a cylindrical tal lump, but its hands were very nimble and especially skilled at cooking delicious food.
It was independently created by Su Xiaocai and had a highly evolved program, with its personality modeled by environntal influence.
No one knew who influenced it, but it was adorably goofy to an extre.
"Sure thing, Caicai. I can make it for you every day for the next half a month."
Daddy Su glared, "Don’t praise it, or it’ll never stop. I want radish beef soup tomorrow."
Su Xiaocai would know his admission result next week and would have to go to school in advance. He didn’t want to endure half a month of garlic spareribs.
Xiao Wanzi chid in with a childlike voice, "Su Xiaocai is still growing, give him a break."
Daddy Su was frustrated, "Two big dummies."
In the end, Daddy Su’s skills were superior, and the radish beef soup won over the garlic spareribs because no ribs for the next day were bought at all.
After dinner, Su Xiaocai went for a walk and headed to the training room.
The Qi chanism had already been developed, so it couldn’t be wasted.
In his past life, Su Xiaocai never practiced Qi, nor was there any Qi cultivation thod, only relying on inherently robust physical fitness.
When he first beca a warrior, he secretly watched an advanced instructor’s Body Training Technique and then practiced it silently.
Surviving on the battlefield for thirty years relied entirely on this set of Body Training Technique.
Coincidentally, this technique was very compatible with Qi training, at least it was for him.
Su Xiaocai sat cross-legged, feeling the Qi flowing inside, letting it circulate constantly, and then stood up.
Slowly raising his hands, embracing the air, pushing away...
The Body Training Technique and Qi Sensing complented each other, elevating the body and mind to a higher state. Each breath was rhythmic, and after finishing one set, he continued with the next, feeling at ease and faster with each repetition.
A small whirlwind ford around Su Xiaocai, making the windows rattle loudly.
Daddy Su, who was secretly trying to peek at his daughter’s training, just opened the glass door a bit and had his face blown lopsided. What the heck? Where did this strong wind co from indoors?
After Su Xiaocai finished two sets and stopped, she was pleasantly surprised to find she had improved again, reaching the level of a Level Three Martial Artist, progressing rapidly.
Turning her head and seeing Daddy Su standing outside the door, she laughed exaggeratedly, "Dad, which hairdresser styled your hair into that airplane head? So strong."
Daddy Su’s hair was all blown to a slanted backward position, exposing his high hairline under the stiff bangs,
"Who else? This small place only has hairdressers at the land space station hundreds of kiloters away." Daddy Su’s expression was gloomy, on the verge of an outburst of anger.
"So it’s your own handiwork?" Su Xiaocai genuinely didn’t know it was her doing and laughed heartily, obliviously.
Daddy Su, furious, roared, "You wait and change your choice to beco a cha Master. Such a tornting child, bursting with energy every day, mischievous."
"How am I mischievous? I am clearly diligently training my Qi Sensing."
"Do you think I believe you?"
"I don’t care. I just want to farm, be a farr, be your little darling." Su Xiaocai rolled on the ground, using her child-like trickster skills.
Daddy Su shivered. No, he feared that in four years, Su Xiaocai would beco even stronger, leeching off him every day, harming the precious plants in his greenhouse.
Having lived together for ten years, Daddy Su naturally knew what kind of life Su Xiaocai wanted – leisurely farming, carefree pet-raising, and slacker’s egg-stealing.
This wasn’t sothing normal people would think of, especially since she had lived this kind of life before.
Let her co ho after society has battered her for a few more decades.
In this interstellar era where the average age was two hundred, sixty or seventy was just past the peak of one’s energy.
"Let’s compromise; change your choice to comply with distribution, otherwise once you leave, this planet will deny you re-entry."
Su Xiaocai: "..."
Old ginger is spicier. Planet Master is amazing.
So, without even showering, under Daddy Su’s supervision, Su Xiaocai went online and added a compliance with distribution option in her application.
Today was the last day for applications. After ten o’clock tonight, no content could be changed anymore.
The selection was completed quickly.
Old ginger Daddy Su was very slick, but Su Xiaocai was also sharp-eyed and wrote only the agricultural departnt in her college application without any other majors.
And with her scores ranked in the top 100 in the star system, there’s no way she wouldn’t be admitted.
Daddy Su turned around to call his acquaintance in the Military Training School, which was Su Xiaocai’s first choice, to make sure she wouldn’t end up as a farr.
The two of them were in an ultimate tug-of-war, and who would win or lose remained unknown.
Three days later, Su Xiaocai was admitted to the Military Training School as a student in the Agricultural Research Institute.
Daddy Su held Xiao Wanzi and cried, "My life is so bitter."
Su Xiaocai humd a tune and twisted her waist, flaunting her electronic admission notice in front of Daddy Su.
"This is ridiculous. Is the Military Training School crazy to admit soone as useless as you for farming?"
"I aced the theory, and if the robots I made can farm, what about it?"
The old and the young bantered endlessly.
Pretending not to welco her return before her departure, Daddy Su caringly prepared lots of snacks and condints for her.
Dried sweet potatoes, beef jerky, various fruits, mushroom sauce, chili sauce...
"Dad, I’m going to school, not running away from a famine." Su Xiaocai said as she stuffed everything into the Space Button, where there were also two self-made chas, prepared for unexpected situations.
"Just take them with you, and make sure not to take Xiao Wanzi."
So, is Xiao Wanzi the real love?
Su Xiaocai pretended to be upset for three seconds, "Okay, I know I’m your good daughter, and a good daughter should honor her father."
"When you’re not making angry..." Daddy Su paused in silence, "No, there’s no ti you don’t make angry."
Su Xiaocai lifted her chin, "I don’t believe it. Co on, let show you what it’s like to have a good daughter."
She dragged Daddy Su to her workshop.
"What did you bring here for?" Daddy Su hadn’t been in Su Xiaocai’s workshop for a while. It was a space she insisted on building when she was a child – large enough to fit six chas.
Su Xiaocai had slight OCD, with tools and parts arranged neatly, making it visually pleasing.
On the workbench sat an object, covered by canvas.
Su Xiaocai lifted the canvas, revealing the object’s true form.
A chanical arm.
The style was similar to those on the market, with its silver surface gleaming with lively light.
Daddy Su rolled his eyes, thinking she was tinkering with sothing new, wasting money again.
Su Xiaocai: "You’re not allowed to scold ; I only accept complints and praise."
Daddy Su choked; what a massive ego!
He dismissively picked up the chanical arm with both hands, imdiately noticing sothing off about its weight. His pupils dilated in astonishnt and uncertainty.
So light?
"You..." Daddy Su’s throat went dry. The chanical arm he currently had installed was heavy, making tasks difficult and often straining muscles. He knew Su Xiaocai was clever from a young age, but he never expected her to create sothing so impressive.
